divine media diiviinemedia ebay turbo kit honda civic build $800 d15 turbo kit d16 coupe ej2 ej1 vtec d series engine turbo kit - Auta a dopravní prostředky
I’ve already shown this in the first video, but I guess everyone must have missed it. The turbo DOES NOT fit the other way around, doesn’t matter how it’s clocked, it pushes right into my slave cylinder and block.
Okay
I no wen you have the turbo on top you have it on the Way you have it on now
DIVINE please take my money for those jackets I want 2 !
I dont believe you make a video of you flipping it
Riley Furlong 1st turbo video. 14:45. We couldn’t even get all 4 bolts on the manifold because the turbo flange is offset and hits the block.
MIKE!!! YOU NEED TO PUT SOME OIL INTO THE TURBO OIL INLET, TO LUBRICATE THE BEARINGS!
DON'T start up the car without lubricating the turbo first, that way your turbo will last a lot longer. And for people saying that it's just a bunch of bs, would you install a new crankshaft in your engine without lubricating it and the block first? Let alone start it dry?
The same applies for a new turbo, so PLEASE put some oil in it and spin it 15-20 times. Then before the first start, unplug the spark plug wires and crank the engine at least 5 seconds for 3-4 times, so the oil pressure builds up and pumps oil into the turbo.
UPVOTE SO MIKE SEES!!!
Those kits designed their turbos to have the turbo inlet facing the clutch slave. The down pipe will work if you flip the turbo around
viperram2003 didn’t rudnick have that same issue
I don't think they were telling you to clock the exhaust housing, they probably meant flip the turbo. I think other people on YT that did this kit put the intake and exhaust facing the opposite of yours
Ebay universal kit is just that, universal. The piping kit will need some cutting. That's why the kit comes with 15ft of pipe when you only need 5ft.
I can't wait for tomorrow's video!! 😥 this turboing and the manual swap are by far the most interesting mods you have started working on the civic! 😄
Mike, if your thinking about buying a cx racing 3in down pipe, it won't fit correctly without cutting and welding. Mine was welded at the wrong angle so it was hitting the subframe and oil pan, also the secondary o2 sensor bung is welded in the dumbest spot straight up and down right where the subframe is so there is no way to even put an o2 sensor in it without cutting it up and rotating it.
Bless you Mike and your teal nugget
Love the civic videos bro! Giving me motivation to turbo my 97 dx sedan in the near future💯
Make sure the oil feed is pointed vertically. Try switching the hot side to the driver side to see if it clears up the downpipe issues. The main problem I see with this kit is that it seems like it's a universal kit so it creates a lot of headaches. Also, $800 is way too much. If you would've added all the individual components from the lowest priced items on eBay. It would've come out to be around $500.
My eBay cart for example:
$56 D-series cast iron manifold
$30 universal T04E oil drain and feed
$57 universal 35/38mm wastegate
$10 manual boost controller
$54 2.5" universal intercooler
$74 steel downpipe for Turbo d16
$87 92-00 Civic intercooler piping
$12 no weld oil drain bung
$21 universal SQV BOV
$104 universal T3/T4 57 trim Turbo
$24 waste gate dump tube
Then you'd have money left over for gauges, oil pan gasket, oil, oil filter, and other little things you'll need to finish everything up. I love the videos so far, don't get me wrong, but people need to take these as entertainment not as a guide.
Love the Civic videos! Great location for the oil feed line is over the valve cover in the gap on the timing belt side.
Keep up the good work!
The jackets would for sure be sick.
Can't wait to see that spooling!!👍👍
Absolutely lovin' your civic videos :D
I would so get one of those jackets they look sick
Will definitely cop a jacket, you’re the only youtuber I like buying merch from
Please make those jackets I'll totally cop one in xxl if you have enough interest.
I like the jacket!
Love your videos
Do a z6 head next, with a y8 intake manifold. Easy way to get a couple ponies, but also opens up the top end of the motor. Really changes the personality of these Honda d series and makes it a lot more fun to spool up
Hey man, take the Wastegate apart and make sure it's free of debris. I hear they are usually full of metal shavings
those srt4 s 😍
I knw when you get this done your not going to stop boost cars sml 😂🙌🏾
I like the jacket, you should do a hoodie
Once Again, I Didnt Received The Notification, And I Have The Notification Bell
Did u ever get it tuned ?
The turbo dont go on like da you have it on backwards
Make the jackets!!! I'll buy!!!
bruh i saw my breath at dumb rd watching the races September 1st east coast is cold affff
dump*
Make sure when it's done that you clean the manifold from your fingers and hands touching it.. it will show when the car does a heat cycle or two
This is true.
FLIP THE TURBO AROUND, the compressor goes toward the passenger side. It will just work if you do it that way.
Dirt4k the turbo does not fit the other way. It hits the block. That’s what I said.
@@diiviinemediayou need to clock it just flip it the other way man
Dirt4k we’ve tried every way. Clocked it every way when we flipped it. Doesn’t fit
@@diiviinemedia you are doing something wrong
@Divine youre stunned, there are 15 comments telling you to flip it. theres no way it hits the block so bad you cant bolt it up its designed to fit tight so you can still have ac
what do you recommend replacing on a stock civic engine before putting s turbo on? i have a ‘98 civic hx
If you want it to last longer I’d do arp head studs atleast
DIVINE awesome, thanks bro
...That exhaust flange can be cut off the pipe, then rewelded on the right way so the downpipe is now pointing the right direction...
Bueno 👌
Definitely wouldn't start it without the oilpan
Japanese Classics is the place for rhd 🙏🙏
I know exactly where that is
Never run the turbo without oil other then that good video
Once everything is done and you drive it all the time. You my guy are going to be very addicted to boost
Can someone please tell me what turbo kit exactly he got , I knows it’s eBay but which one
What car did your friend pick you up in?
What size of tire is tht?
whats the music for the intro??
Y don't you turn the fixed hot side by where it bolts on to the exhaust manifold. The turbo intake side will be on the opposite side
This guy didnt listen to anyone telling him that a month ago in the last video even tho thats the way these kits are supposed to be put on...
i saw that skyline for sale too, was gonna try and buy it for parts for the skyline i just bought. DEFINITELY a good price but no skyline out here was better than the deal i got on my rb25 swapped skyline.
It’s the wrong manifold if you look at Evan shanks video he bought a cheaper kit from eBay an had all the right parts
humm could have gotten more done if you wasn't joy riding :). Its coming together
Shoulda just pieced a kit together so you wouldn't be missing/wrong parts
Dude didnt put this on right in the first place
Why just dont take the downpipe to a muffler shop have it weld back to the right side easy fix and the intercooler pipe just cut it so it can fit by the way great video
or buddy could put the fucking turbo on the right way
Name of the song at 10:28? Please respond
Brandon Potter me too! still trying to figure it out man 😭
Make sure you install head studs aswell
Name of intro song ?
Go watch strapnicks video he had the same issue
Da is y you can't get your a/c too work
Ur civic a ex? Year 2000?
I wouldn’t count on the rain the meteorologists around here suck at predicting the weather
The cold side of the turbo is on the wrong side. the hot side needs to be on the driver side.
Dont use the oil line from the kit they leak
WHY DONT YOU GET A RADIATOR FROM A 1998 ACCORD WITH THE AC AND RADIATOR IN 1 CORE
Is that a phone in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
Good to see Ebay is still the same. You pay $800 for half of a kit and then have to chase down parts that actually fit properly. Keep up the vids thou.
Mike that’s not a sandwich plate it’s for an oil cooler if u plug the an lines oil won’t go up to the head
Jose Murillo its a sandwich plate. That has nothing to do with oiling the head
kshepthedrummer ok it’s just cause my mechanic told me his customer used one and it wasn’t feeding oil to the head
You got the turbo the wrong way, turn that shit around.
should've let me cut and weld that down pipe on the right direction and just cut and weld your old exhaust up to it!
Too much talking let’s see some actual working
