Nice footage. Thank you for taking me back. The first time I tried this I was 11 years old and wearing Converse All Stars High Tops. It was 1964. I lost my nerve about halfway up (where it gets a little steeper). I was the only one in my camp group that chickened out. In the 70s I got myself job in the park and climbed Half Dome by this and 2 other routes along with many other peaks. I stopped climbing back then. I am still alive. It helps to realize the limits of one's obsessions.
Fuck my dude you were nuts going down that way. I’m sure you eventually turned around but that first slip would’ve been enough for me. Glad you made it up though!!!
