I was a jr college student in Maui (near Makawao) 1962-63 --Maui population was 35,000 and there was one signal light in the whole island (in Lahaina and a classmates father was police chief there). Out little college had 200 students and 5 of us were haoles. Good times.

I live in California, yeah sorry I went to Oahu ( Honolulu) and we come from an area where things are fast and as matter of fact like and not knowing what to expect we went to Hard Rock Café and our waitress came up and said hi, where are you from. We said California she said oh ok, I go to San Francisco sometimes to see family. I turned to my wife and smiled and felt wow this is gonna be fun to visit. Had the worlds greatest smoothie and relaxed like never before. Oh yeah I like ABC stores. I subbed to your channel because I want to go back soon just don't know what island, been to Maui also. Your channel is really informative, and I appreciate. See what 8 days in Hawaii did to me? I'm just rambling on. Thanks again Dave
im so happy u did this video! Im moving Maui in July. coming from phoenix its gona be different...but im looking for the simple life So Ill do just fine adapting. Altho. .Im very frugal n cheap, IM going to MISS the dollar stores n discount stores.😕 Lol. Thanx for the 🎥 🌺
Wailea near Kehei. That is where Four Seasons Resort is. Or the private housing communities with gates in Kahana. Near the Ritz Carlton Resort. Those 2 places are where Oprah and the Iluminati live.
Great place for a vacation, but a very expensive place to live. Other than tourism/hospitality and retail sales, there are not many jobs available. Oh, and did I mention that it is expensive.
