So blessed to be born and raised on Maui da local way 🤙🏽 MAJOR TIPS before adventuring please: never take it for granted, always respect the ʻĀina and clean up after yourself, respect the locals (tourists who come always act like they own the place and pisses us off), share the road, NEVER chase the turtles, don’t take rocks or anything that belongs to the island, try to learn about our culture and history WHILE enjoying paradise lol but respect respect respect....and you’ll have the most fun. also be safe, don’t be stupid and think you can handle big waves if you can’t.
I'll be heading out to Maui for about 5 days with a close friend and would appreciate any suggestions for cool places to go to while we're out there! Definitely wanna cliff dive into some water, have poké, go on some hikes and pretty much anything you can recommend. Since you're a local, I figure you might have some better recommendations than a regular tourist website might have. Thanks!
Chloé u me to please!! Visiting Maui January-February 2019 for my moms business trip! Could really use some advice on more awesome places to visit!
Yea for the price of a week vacation.. im taking a hand full of rocks home and possibly a new pet turtle.. it'll be fine ;)
Chloé u The Hawaiian islands have become another word for heaven to me. They are the best place in the world to go to and forget about all the troubles or headaches you might be going through. The locals are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. If you show them respect you get it back in return. I’ve been to Hawaii 3 times, twice to Oahu and once to Maui and every trip was better than the last. One thing I’ve done every trip is get a tattoo usually something related to the trip is the theme, but no matter what it is I carry a little piece of Hawaii with me everyday. I only wish I lived there....
Thanks! You sound like a colossal douche! 😍
Excellent video!!
I have been loving Maui these past few months :)
Of course, beaches, pools, waterfalls, hikes, sights, experiences, and all sorts of amazing nature and weather!
Been meeting amazing people all over Maui, most especially Haiku where it seems many legendary beings have settled into community for their remaining years :)
My weekly schedule involves helping on farms, drum circle/sundowns at the beaches Fri and Sun evening, Conscious dance nights, open mic night, ceremonies/events, music, sitting around the fire, potlucks so often, touring the island, networking/grass roots organizing, and so much more!
So many cute little village towns..
Outstanding healthy, organic, vegetarian and vegan foods everywhere..
And I like to add that there are a great deal of organic farms to potentially wwoof/worktrade..
And a great grass roots movement to keep Maui the paradise that it is, and really be the example to the world how to be a leader/ and as community to keep it amazing in your local area/ be involved with what matters, ensuring Maui is amazing for all now and into the future!
See you in Maui! :)
Loved, had to come. And low * behold....all work was there waiting for me! I do so love having more job security no that I've been there over a year!
having lived here for 30 years now, (Pukalani/Makawao) I always love to see video highlights of my beloved island. Thanks for the ride. Many Mahalos!
I lived on Maui for 7 years. Now living in California, but my heart is still on the island. Maui no ka oi.
wow. easily the most interesting and stylish maui review i've seen. well done kids!
Wow thank you so much!! We appreciate the support 🙏🏽❤️
I dont mean to be off topic but does anyone know of a method to get back into an instagram account?
I somehow forgot the account password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Cason Jimmy Instablaster =)
from a Maui person, be aware that private property signs are at many of these destinations, if you are caught there is fine and court, plus your rental vehicle is a target for theft AND since you signed a contract not recommending the road from Hana to Keokea (the backside) you are fully liable for all damages to vehicle if damages are anywhere in this danger zone., even if insurance is purchased
Wow, what a tip!
I love reading these comments from the locals or others who have been before! They're like a little bonus. I've never been here, only Oahu and Hawaii, and planning a trip next summer.
Maui is a different experience. Try to respectfully speak and engage with the locals... and learn about the island. You will have a much deeper appreciation.
Great video, i was ata maui for the 2nd time....stayed at lahaina shores resort on front street....totally loved it....did snorkeling, cliff jumping, chocolate tour, and the old Lahaina Luau....the greatest time, i fell in love with maui and front street...thanks for posting the video
We will be there on Sunday!! I am definitely checking out these spots! TY!!
We leave for Maui the beginning of June. OMG..thank you for telling me the best snorkeling and turtle spots!! Amazing video. I can't wait to go! :)
I just read your blog, really well written! I love pictures and the videography for this video!
A helicopter flight over the island and into the Hana Rainforest is a definite must too! 😉🤙
This is awesome! The Maui tourist industry should show the love and aloha!
ok i am hyped to go! I was worried there wouldn't be much but oh boy there is!!! Thanks guys!
Great Video for Things To Do on Maui - I agree with your choices (and yes not in particular order :) )
Headin back to Maui soon and I’m getting my stoke up watching your videos!
i went to a bunch of the places you mentioned about 7 years ago when i was there. i was about 13 when i went with my family and i need to go back. ive been desperately trying to convince my mom to let us go back this summer--maybe some time in august. I NEED TO GO BACK LOL. i loved Hawaii so much. it felt so amazing to be there. i stayed at the kaanapali alii which is on the kaanapali beach strip you mentioned. it was amazing
You can always tell when someone comes back from Hawaii for the first time :)
Loved, loved watching your video! Great pics. I also liked the Wailea walking path!
the path in Wailea is a good one, isn't it? i like it, too! :)
Cliff house, kaanapali, Laparuz, hana, Venus pond, 7 Sacred ponds, bunny ears, da shrimp Hale at kahului harbor
Break wall is so good for a margarita snow cone its was the best
Thanks for the video post. We are headed to Maui in mid-May 2018. Very useful information.
Going there in October. Thank you for the tips.
A lot of the island is pretty dry. For an easy to reach tropical day I always visit the Iao needle)Iao valley state park). I go off the paved path and hike a bit upstream. Well worth the visit.
Goin in a week ! Cant wait !! Thanks !!!
Thanks for this video, super helpful!
It's been 8 years since I've been there and there are definitely some new changes. I'm leaving there in less than 10 hrs with family staying in Kaanapali. This video has helped me plan on my top list to do in Maui. Mahalo=))
I love Hawaii!! Our next Island is Maui!!! I cannot wait!!😎
Great video, lots of good tips.
I love it! thanks for posting; Mahalo!
maui on friday! can’t wait!
My number one. Front street tied with Fleetwood’s on Front. I LOVE Fleetwood Mac!!
I'm going to Maui in a few days

This was great, thank you!
Thanks for posting guys 💕✨
Great video,I‘m going to Maui in September
Thank you
Going to have to visit Maui as well as Oahu next time I visit!! Great video guys :)
i would have to say,...most of your drone shots was breath taking. You guys did a very amazing and original video all the way! Cowabunga you lucky fellas!
Loved this
Love the video. great job. looking forward to going there one day soon. Sandy
Great video, heading to Maui August 2018, can’t wait!
Was in Lahaina in 2017, stayed in Kaanapali. We went to Front St, Banyan Tree, Tropical Plantation, Nakalele Blowhole etc. Maui has the BEST beaches in Hi. I wanna go back.
My next vacation :) I’ve been in big island Hawaii lots to do there .
Love the music😍.
Great video - thank you so much!
i was named after makenna beach :) my family goes to maui and stays near makena beach every year
LOOOOVE IT! AMAZING♥
Just got back from a trip to Maui. As much as I loved the road to Hana, we drove back in the dark. I definitely suggest going-it’s gorgeous, but I found going back at night super scary and it takes a long time to get to Hana since there is so much to see.
Cant wait to see little beach with my gf. Drum circle sounds fun.
In Maui tearing up the streets in this brand new Jeep! But still don’t own a drone! Great video guys. . Great picks
Great video , nice job, we go every year. We stay on Ka'anapali Beach . No place in the world like Maui.
South Kihei is nice too, especially if you can get a condo. Buy groceries so you're not spending money on dining out every meal. The condos I stayed at had two beaches (one on either side) and we didn't see more than maybe 10 people on either of them... in the middle of May. Which is pretty amazing.
love the drone shots
Nice video, good tips. We'll be there next month.
enjoy! aloha! :)
Could you type what number 8 is? I couldn’t spell it from the sound correctly and I am trying to add it to my destinations list.
great vid, i stayed in Paia home from home
awesome video, very helpful!!
Going for my 5 year anniversary 08/08/19 thanks for the tips
Awesome! Planning a trip to Hawaii next year, so glad for this video! Thank you! And one question - what is the name of song? Love it!
This is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
what type of drone did you use and was there issues using in certain areas
We’re going in December, hope the weather isn’t to cold. I live in Las Vegas,Nevada desert. Our first visit.
Lucky to call Maui home for 24 years. I work in the hospitality industry and I recommend these:
1. Take only pictures, leave only 👣
2. Coconuts Fish Café for fish tacos in Kihei. (Two locations)
3. Maui Wave Riders for surf/SUP lessons (Get Ina as your instructor)
4. Hana, but let locals pass on the road when safe.
5. Whale Watch/snorkel trip. (Whales are here in the winter)
6. Shave ice at Ululani’s
7. Surfing Goat Dairy (baby goats and yummy goat cheese)
8. Warren and Annabel’s magic show in Lahaina.
9. REEF SAFE sunscreen !!!
10. Take only pictures, leave only 👣
As a local, you forgot to warn tourists not to take coral or volcanic rock. Why don't they have huge signs everywhere in Hawaii? It is SUPER BAD LUCK!
I say this as a tourist who suffered the consequences. Yup.
Hi!! greetings from Argentina!! 2:46 there is a huge waterfall, which place is it? i cant find it in trip advisor...thanks!!!
Beautiful video, we are going next year and this was so helpful!! I gotta know what camera do you use?
THANK YOU for this video!!!!!!!!!
This is so well made
Beautiful Video
Been to Mai 17 times and your recommendations are good ones. I would add that Mama's is a must do, yes it is expensive but it is a unique experience. Also do a day trip to Lani with Sail Trilogy you will not be disappointed. I always stay at KBH which is right next to Black Rock and KBH has true ocean front rooms.
What is KBH?
@@dustywilson2052 Kaanapali Beach Hotel.
Loooove the video !!
Awesome video guys! Mahalo 🤙
Great shots!
NICE!!! I love MAUI
Very informative video thank you !
I've been searching videos of Maui in general and this is exactly what I wanted to see! Thanks for not cluttering the video with nonsense talk! lol. Love it.
We are staying in Kapalua area over the Christmas season this year. How difficult will it be for us to get anywhere around the island, even to Kaanapali or Lahaina? If we want to experience Upcountry would it be better to stay in that area for a few days? Loved your video ! Thanks for sharing
Such great editing! I really would love to see more minimalist themed videos, also more about your tiny house!
Thank you ☺️.
Thanks for a great video - I enjoyed it immensely. A caution to viewers: The road to Hana takes 4 hours. If you are planning on driving down there and back in one day, keep your eye on the clock and get started back in time so you are not on the road once the sun goes down. This is one road you don’t want to be traveling in the dark.
Another comment: I think Honolua Bay is one of the best places to snorkel ever. It is off the beaten path but worth the jaunt. Do not swim here in the winter. The waves can be fierce. A friend’s brother, an experienced surfer, lost his life surfing in this bay.
I love it sooooooooo much
And I’m going fo Christmas so thanks
So hard to keep it 10. I have at least 15 in mind right now. But your list is a great start :) Mahalo for sharing. (oh maybe I should come back and add my additional 5 things to do here in my comment. OK will don that :) )
I live on maui and i like theses top 10 places to
Love lahaina. My home cant imagine living anywhere else
You guys did an awesome job with this ! I now know where I’m spending my birthday next year!💕 THANKS ! 😘
I'm planning a trip in July. But not sure what island Muai or Oahu. What do you suggest?
Awsome music!!!
Awesome video!!
looks amazing
Looks perfect. Looking forward to our 1st trip to the Islands and your video gives us a perfect idea what to see on Maui. We are heading there in mid October so hopefully we will be able to enjoy all the things you mentioned.
Great work on the video!
Thanks for sharing.
Scott
Scott Bennett October will be beautiful and just a bit cooler. Sounds like you’re island hopping?
@@alohafromthe3033 Yes. Hoping also getting to Oahu but may not work out. Just to visit from one of the other Islands may push us over budget. There is always next time as I am already counting on returning;)
Scott Bennett You made the right choice to see Maui first, it’s my favorite. I don’t recommend traveling to Oahu unless you like populated areas. Honolulu is the best city in the country, but it’s still a city. It may be worth your while to stay on Maui an extra few days instead.
all of the islands have their own flavor(s), certainly. it's a shame that it can cost so much to travel inter-island. Maui is pretty awesome, tho! still my choice! i love it here! :)
Great video, thanks! What camera did you use?
Did you guys use a drone to for any of this footage? If so are there any restrictions?
Hey guys great video! Very informative. I was wondering if you guys could tell me how the surf is during the spring, will the surf be too rough for snorkeling Honolua Bay? Thanks
Thanks 😊! It is usually pretty flat in the spring time but really depends on the weather! You should be ok though!

Can't wait going to Maui in February
I'm going the 22nd of this month. I'll let you know how it goes lol...
@Matt Kirkland What side are you on? Weather can be very bad in the west sometimes.
@Matt Kirkland for how long are you staying?
@Matt Kirkland Then I definitly think you will get some sunny days. May have a a few days of rain, but I think it will mostly be sunny. It all depends on your luck.
I took a bus tour on the Road to Hana and it was really really pretty but the Van was so bumpy. I don't know why but it was. You did get to stop a few times. But because it was bumpy so long I had trouble getting to sleep that night.
Very helpful. I don't get why anyone would "dislike" videos like this.
Good job guys really cool video
Can anybody tell me the location and name of the waterfall at 2:46, 2:47. Thanks
Hello !!! Nice vid and SUB.....Whats the best month in the summer to do a vacation over there ?.??
TEAM ICESASSINS The entire summer is fantastic, but HOT!!! You’ll want to spend all day in the water. The most affordable months are typically April and October because families travel less these times of year.
What soundtrack you use for this video?
You can also cliff dive at black rock off the rock formation on the right.
drno_ 361 yes!!! i love doing that
thanks for the video about your date.
Great job! 💥👍
