  • Goodwill has helped people go to work since 1902. Founded by Reverend Edgar J. Helms, a Methodist minister, Goodwill has provided employment, job training and other community-based programs for people looking to advance their careers, gain skills and credentials and further their education for more than a century. Watch this video to learn more about how we got started.

Goodwill is now just taking advantage of the consumer. Than you have the grabbers who are told what time the goods hit the floor and they grab everything and check the prices of the items. They put back the garbage and sell the rest on line. This is not right and needs to stop. The prices in the stores come close to that of Ross and at least at Ross it is brand new. A lot of people and even workers are complaining about the prices. I know of a young man who has worked at Goodwill for 10 years and still only gets a little over $15 an hour. Not enough to live on and cannot even afford to shop at Goodwill. I always thought it was in the name, Goodwill toward man. A lot of people have to shop at places like Goodwill because it is what they can afford. I do not donate to Goodwill anymore because the prices are crazy.

PLEASE stop writing the prices with permanent marker. I seen things I would love to buy but it has been damaged but the ugly big permanent marker price across items. Tried to remove with alcohol and other ways but no luck. Also price is getting crazy. Dollar tree items are priced $2 and $3 for used items. Used to love shopping at the goodwill but lately everything is over priced. Walmart is cheaper. All Miami locations
