Another great video, Dan! The 27C seems like a decent panel. Love me some curved flat panel action. So much more immersive! The joystick for navigating the menus is great, must be a Samsung OEM across the board (but with solid "Omen" customizations)?

Yeah, it’s 1440p.
Nice review. I once had an Acer curved monitor and I liked it except that it had flashlighting issues at the bottom of the screen in four different spots that were visible in dark scenes and I ended up claiming the store's extended warranty on it for a store credit. So now I simply have an Asus 27" flat monitor that is 1920x1080 at 75Hz maximum on my gaming PC. Good enough for me plus it doesn't stress my hardware but I must admit that a 1440p panel would be great down the road once things get back to normal! I like the menu on this Omen monitor too.
Thanks Mark! The jump to 1440p is so huge. It doesn’t seem like much the the graphical quality between the 2 is really crazy.

Thanks for your videos. Really nice review. But no thanks cause now I'm buying this monitor for sure and I might get the 4K brother as well after seeing your other review as I will certainly get the Omen 17 ck2000nf witch is actually on a 25% sale (I swear, HP got the craziest sales out there!) to replace my 2019 Omen 15 X 2S dg0010nf with its aging (but still performing) RTX 2080 Max-Q wich gonna be too little for UHD but still more than enough for 2K panels like this beauty. Keep up the good work.

Hey i been following you for The 25l content great stuff. Im considring upgrading my 25l to the 40l. Have you tried it?
I have only looked at the 45L. I am hoping I can borrow the 40L from HP to review! Someone on my Omen Discord has received his 40L and reported great temps and it’s working good though.
I have the Omen 27i I absolutely love it… Am sorta surprised the 27c isn’t 4K and not rocking the RGB lighting in the back.
Think they were going for a super high refresh rate / 1440p monitor. I’m sure they have a 4K / 144hz coming at some point in the future.
The new 27u is a 4k ips monitor with hdr and it has hdmi 2.1. It also has rgb on the back
I am currently reviewing it and will have a video on the 27u in the next couple of days. So far it’s absolutely incredible
@@DanKamYouKnow the only thing that sucks about it is it’s only hdr 400. It should of been hdr 600. Then it would be perfect.
I really wanted to get it as a secondary monitory because I love my omen 27i, but now I’m getting the Alienware 27 inch 1440p 240hz hdr 600 ips monitor instead.
4k is nice and all but I’d rather have better hdr and I play all my games at 1440p anyways, so the lack of hdr 600 was a deal breaker for me.
@@DanKamYouKnow is the hdr on it good? I know hdr 400 is trash compared to hdr 600 but I really want to be persuaded to get the 27u over the Alienware. I just really want the best hdr performance.

Hi bro, just got this the other day and first thing I noticed is the eye strain. I didn't feel any strain after playing about 4 straight hours and that's amazing! I've been hitting insane shots with this monitor because of the 2k resolution, the clarity of the image is amazing plus the 240hz refresh rate what a combo!
I've been playing Valorant with this and I have 2 main settings; Overdrive 4 + AMD Freesync and Overdrive 4 + MPRT 4. I switch around the 2 depending on the feeling of it haha. Any advice on the black smearing on this monitor? I think that's the only downside of this monitor.
VA Panels will have a little bit of gray to black smearing but I didn’t notice it that much. I turned my brightness pretty far down and messed with some settings and it was pretty good for me actually. Try adjusting the response time level too.
@@DanKamYouKnow it's not that noticeable but sometimes I notice it haha! May I know your settings? I'm really playing with it competitively and I wanna know what's the best I can get from it. Haha thank you sir!
Brightness is around 40 and some slight color tweaks is it. I think I like Shadow Vision turned off but not really sure yet. I don’t notice too much difference with response time, could be my older eyes so I keep it around 3. Not really much else.
Regarding shadow vision as I've observed it adjusts the gamma adaptively depending on the situation, unlike the black level function which adjusts gamma per level. It's also nice that the monitor has 2 kinds of image sharpening technology. I just don't know if it'll affect the input lag or anything. I must say, this monitor is totally feature packed haha

Which monitor is the better buy this or the Samsung g7 qhd rn there is a sale on the Samsung for $599 but the hp omen has 2 year warranty for $20 and I just ordered the 45L with an i7 and 3080. First pc going from a 60hz benq on a Xbox series x. I haven’t played on pc since 2012 so a lot of this is new for me.
You can’t go wrong with either. Would be cool to have an entire Omen setup! They are both incredibly good monitors and I’d go with the cheapest option.

I've bought this monitor and my audio is very quiet on it, when compared to plugging my aux in directly it's about 20% more quiet.
Was wondering if you had this issue because I cant seem to find any mention of the issue elsewhere

Hmmm, you are using the headphone jack on the monitor? I never tried the onboard audio for the monitor unfortunately. I would recommend using the audio ports on your PC, or your controller if you’re using a console.

HP let me borrow this monitor to review and I have already sent it back to them. I believe HP has a 1 year warranty on it and Amazon usually does 1 month for free returns.
Is this worth getting for £300? I currently got a 1080p 240hz Lenovo Legion with i5 12400f+3060. Wondering if this would be suitable upgrade for my setup?
I would watch some benchmarks on CZcams of that GPU and see if it can push high frames at 1440p. Maybe with settings a bit low but 240hz may be overkill for a 3060. BUT, not a bad idea for future proofing though, in case you upgrade down the line

eh the issue with this one is that It's not frameless which breaks the impression :(
I unfortunately have not tried that monitor. I had nothing but a good experience with this monitor but a lot of people are complaining about ghosting with this monitor.

No, I have never tried that one. I was talking about the HP one, where people have complained of ghosting.
@@DanKamYouKnow it's hard to pick something the best. I'd love to experience games on curved monitor and the immerse but those are VA panels that people say have those problems with moving scenes on blacks and the viewing angles and also colors.
IPS/nano on the other hand would give nice colors, viewing angles but bad contrast, poor blacks and no curvature.. And my monitor has to be an "all in one experience". Now I'm moving into nanoIPS again couse some day that this curvature in 27/32 inch displayed aren't worth it. Would you recommend anything? Max Budget 450/500 Euros / Dollars
All I need to know is will my m15r6 3070 work well on this. I'm new to this kind of stuff
For a 3070 graphics card, 1440p is definitely a good choice and with low settings in some games, close to 240FPS could be achievable, so I would say it’s a good choice.
Man my 25L is getting 80C, I have a msi 360 aio with me, you think it is possible to mount it without taking the motherboard off and leave the hot sink out side
No way, the biggest AIO you can fit is 120mm. 80c is actually completely safe.
@@DanKamYouKnow Im thinking remove the top lid to have the tube come out from the space behind the top USB port and leaving the heatsink and fan outside of the case. Wondering about the possibility of leaving the heatsink outside though, like, just laying around
For somone reason when i pluig in my glorious gaming mouse to the back of the omen moniter it lights up my mouse but doesnt work. like it wount move my cursur or show it is there a fix?

Not really possible with this market right now. I would recommend saving a bit more. You’ll get an outdated and underpowered PC for that much.

Yes, as stated in the video, is has a VESA 100mm X 100mm mount.
Does it have g sync or just free sync for amd
AMD Freeesync Premium but it will also work with NVIDIA cards.
I see red traces when scrolling in the texts when I set the night monitor mode, is this normal?
I never owned this monitor so I unfortunately cannot check. Does it only do it in Night Mode?
@@DanKamYouKnow thanks for replying, it happens in all modes but it is more noticeable in night mode. When you scroll down the text it doesn't feel smooth if you use dark modes on the webs. It also happens with black objects going over light backgrounds. You see a purple border like ghosting. I would like to know if this is normal on VA panels or if it is a problem with my screen.
You might want to reach out to HP. That does not sound normal to me.
for me when i put the response time on 5 i get some tracers when i look around... try setting it at 3

hi bro any ghosting on 240hz for fps gaming?
So, for me, I didn’t notice any ghosting but I hear people mention that they do notice a little bit, depending on the game. I tested 4 and didn’t notice anything really. Could be different games that have more of an effect.
