Olympics London 2012, Cycling, Cat Watch

I recently adopted a cat from the Cat Protection Society shelter in Greensborough, Melbourne. She has certainly made herself very much at home here and is obviously determined to enjoy all the domestic comforts which were not available to her whilst she was residing in the animal refuge. A few days ago I was amazed to observe her transfixed (even at times interacting) with the wonderful 'Miniscule' animation on TV . But I was not prepared for her avid and active interest in the current London Olympics broadcasts (on this occasion featuring the Olympic Men's Cycling Road Race...) Her interest seemed to be further piqued whenever the Australian team was sighted... ( I swear she also got very excited any time Stuart O'Grady's name was mentioned ! ) She also told me she was waiting for a glimpse of the champion Spanish cyclist, Cat El Evans) I must say I have never associated cats with Sporting interest before... On further thought I think next season I'll buy her a membership for Simmonds Stadium ('The Cattery')... By the way, this video was originally recorded on my i phone .
