- The Border Models Crusader Mk. III! It does Crusader things. This kit was pretty fun to build. My complaining about the photo etch and the tracks might make it seem worse than it is... It is worth it in the end. The fit is great, there were barely any mould lines. Clean up and assembly was a breeze.
Probably pick up some aftermarket tracks if you're going to build it without the skirts though.
I'll certainly be buying more kits from Border Models in the future!

I bought this exact kit in july, looking forward to building it

The Crusader probably won't win any best-WW2-tank conrest. But it is in the "Joe Cool" - category of WW2 tanks, that's for sure. The finished model shows this.
I've actually picked this kit up and it's been a lot of fun to build, I've got a few little things left to do at the rear of the tank, mostly photo etched parts. But it's been really good fun and it's been really fun developing a diorama for it too.

Great looking build and I love the details. I have to agree with you, I am not into photo etch but this kit is tempting me.
17:53 the tracks for the MENG warrior TESH , is in my opinion one of the best ways to do it, it is similar but the jig is far better and you only need to do one pin per link no glue needed and it fit together well and you don't need to cut each pin from the sprue as they are done in sets of 5
Back when my eyes worked I would make small bits like the AWOL clip out of plastic sheet or stiff paper or even especially thick flash. But that was just for personal OCD I mean satisfaction.

I haven't painted it yet.
The drivers compartment construction is similar to the Italeri version.
It was a bitch to build. So I reinforced the insides with cut sprue and putty before attaching it to the hull.
Look up Laobi here on CZcams..I swear you're his younger more sane brother. Same characteristic tone of voice and all.
What superglue did you use to attach photoetched parts??
It's just a brush on super glue I got from the super market. It's a lot cheaper than hobby specific super glue.
Beautiful model. Is not it difficult to paint the track and wheels area after all have been completed like that?
I have vespid leopard waiting to be build but I cannot decide to paint it first or glue them first.
It's fine to build first or paint first. whichever you find easier. I don't usually find it too difficult to paint tracks with them on the model. Especially not in bigger scales like this.
