Definitely a game changer in residential. Removing the cores and using the proper size vacuum hoses really becomes critical to pulling a vacuum efficiently. Great review!

Every video I've watched on this vac pump has been positive. The pump I've got now is heavy, large and loud. I really like this wee pump and think I will just get it. Thanks for input bro.

I picked up the power adapter to plug mine in when i first purchased this, havnt had to use it yet though but nice to know if i forget to charge up,im covered. 4 cfm is more than enough flow for any resi, and in many cases overkill. The people that talk down on it are the ones using a manifold and leaving cores in, and dont understand that if they bought an 8 or 12 cfm pump, their vac times would remain the same. So for those using a manifold, buy the 2 cfm cause 4 cfm is too much for you, you wont pull 4cfm through one even w a 20 cfm pump

Thank you for mentioning the power adapter. I just recently picked one up. They where hot out when I purchased mines a few years ago.

Have you heard of the JB flex cordless pump? I wonder how that would compare to the commercial evacuations. Has more than double the oil capacity

I don’t know how your comment did not show up on my analytic but none the less yes I have heard of the JB Flex Cordless Pump. I saw it at Johnstone. They are pushing these instead of the NAVAC because of there relationship with JB company. I am going to purchase one by the time the summer rolls around just to try it out and give a good review. If you get one I would love to hear about your experience.

What was the final vacuum rate ?

Since it’s navac I would rather use this only on mini splits

They work great on mini splits but they work just as well on residential systems. I have used them on big commercial equipment but you will never have enough battery life.

Time is money, who wants to wait for that tiny pump to complete a vacuum. Myself i want to vacuum and test hold less than 30min.

      Easy with this pump

First, it's not a tiny pump. I have this pump for comercial heat pumps above drop ceilings because it's lighter than my fieldpiece and I can rest it rite on the ceiling grid. I pull down a 2 ton in about 6 min, a 15 ton in about 20. No different than my 8cfm fp. But I let it run longer, Key is your hoses and pulling cores, and just knowing what you're doing in the end. Fantastic pump. For resi this is more than enough for any system you would come across.

You know it’s the hoses not the pump eh

The hoses makes all the difference, the pump is convenient, no cord.
