Beautiful build so far ! At time frame 17:16 the part being painted black is the Prop Governor. It adjusts the blade angle in flight via a control cable going to the cockpit to the pilots throttle quadrant controls ( the lever with the letter "P" on it ).The magnetos are on the left and right side of the governor. Just a little airplane info. Cheers.

Thanks for that, I have a schematics of the engine but apparently I did not follow the pointer correctly 😁

Nice build so far mate. I am currently doing the same model but started with the f4u-1 variant, magic factory really hit it out of the park with this one.

At 15:32 of your video, you tell us that “since only about 20% of my viewers make it this deep into my videos, I want to thank you for sticking around.” First, of course, you are most welcome. But also, I return to you my personal thank you for your showing me what I cannot arrange with my own means.
Several years past, I had built several of Tamiya’s 1:48th-scale kits of the Chance Vought F4U Corsair USN/USMC Fighter series: the F4U-1, -2, -1A, -1D, and another -1A that I had modified to a Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm Corsair I carrier-based fighter. The arrival of the new Magic Factory 1:48th-scale Corsair models caught my attention. I so much had enjoyed assembling, painting, etc., the Tamiya kits that when the latter company introduced their 1:32nd-scale kits, not only had I wished for them (actually, several of each-well, ideally!), I considered building again their 1:48th-scale replicas, as well as adding to the project their 1:72nd-scale kits of the same aircraft. This effort to create a forced-perspective ærial diorama of each variant; these would have identical camouflage paint scheme, the same unit markings, etc., for the same squadron, displaying them in close formation on patrol at 10,000 metres (well over 30,000 feet). Or perhaps a presentation dramatising a surprise attack bouncing upon enemy fighters from high altitude, whilst Grumman Hellcat USN carrier-based warbirds confronted scores of attack aircraft out of the northwest.
Now must I consider these new Magic Factory reproductions.
For that matter, I very much would like to see your assessments of the Tamiya 1:32nd-scale kits of the Chance Vought F4U-1, -1A, -1D, and -2 Corsair USN/USMC Fighters: also, an additional F4U-1D to convert to a -1C with four M3 Browning 20mm cannons in lieu of the six M3 Browning 50-calibre machine-guns. Others to modify to 1) various marks of Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm Corsair carrier-based fighters; well, those that actually had seen combat service (United Kingdom); these were the only Corsairs to have engaged in military action in the European Theatre of Operation (ETO). 2) RAAF (Australia) Corsairs, 3) and those that flew in the NZAF (New Zealand), both in the Pacific Theatre of Operation (PTO).
My next enquiry would centre upon the de Havilland DH-98 Mosquito RAF Mk. IV Light Bomber and the Photo-Reconnaissance Aircraft (for the latter, I do not recall the mark), both variants proving amply swift enough to require no defensive armaments. I understand that Airfix offers a 1:24th-scale armed fighter-bomber version kit (an extensive review of it showed its detail and quality of merit; the Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines and the cockpit might well win awards!), and Tamiya’s closely similar 1:32nd-, 1:48th-, and 1:72nd-scale kits, all four (or more) of which I also would like to build together in a forced-perspective ærial diorama, again with identical camouflage paint scheme, unit markings, etc., applying to the same squadron; my placement of the lot (the smaller replicas would have more than one) would represent a close formation as they penetrate deep into Nazi Germany on secret strikes upon the High Command. I especially would like to find Mk. IV light bomber and photo-reconnaissance versions of these kits; or alternately, the means to convert them to the latter.
Similarly, Airfix makes a 1:24th-scale model of the Supermarine Spitfire RAF Mk.IX Fighter, much as does Tamiya in 1:32nd-scale (and possibly1:48th-). I would ask modellers of appreciably greater experience and expertise than I to construct not merely the kits, but to arrange their presentation in-flight as I suggest above. I have some ideas as to how to effect certain elements of these projects.
With all these, and more, I would have to be both a billionaire and immortal!
Yes, for my difficult circumstances, I try to have a sense of humour. They also are why I come here to watch build videos such as yours, and to interact with the builders. I quite enjoy (if rather wistfully, given that I personally cannot participate directly) watching detailed model kits become high-quality replicas representing history and technology.
I look forward to “Episode 3: Building the NEW TOOL F4U-2 Corsair in 1/48th scale from Magic Factory” from MM Scale Models.

Thank you for your kind words, I have no opinion on Tamiya's 1/32 scale offering because I don't have it and haven't built it.
The forced perspective diorama is an interesting idea which a have considered in the past. From my CZcams channel perspective it does not seem to be a good fit unfortunately. I am a slow builder and building a number of the same aircraft I doubt will be particularly interesting to watch.

@@MMScaleModels , yes, I agree with your last point. I expect the finished result would be the big attraction.
Perhaps such a venture would be suitable for a group build of master modellers, wherein each participant contributes one or two kits.

A lot of that is due to the quality of the kit. I also do many filler iterations with some lesser kits.
