Inspired by a Shel Silverstein poem:
PUT SOMETHING IN
Draw a crazy picture,
Write a nutty poem
Sing a mumble-gumble song,
Whistle through your comb.
Do a loony-goony dance
‘Cross the kitchen floor,
Put something silly in the world
That ain’t been there before.
This is so wholesome. Cute song.
the smiles on those red/orange/green/blue line folks are absolutely contagious and you guys picked the perfect people for all the roles. this is so dorky, cute, and (mostly) accurate. god i hate how much i love this.
2023 update:
Green, Orange, Blue and Red,
If you ride it you'll end up dead,
Please I have a place I've gotta go!
From Edfrd Slash Tufts down to Ruggles,
Service this weekend's replaced with shuttles,
I wouldn't call it fast, it's really slow!
This should be in the MBTA musical!
I live in greater Boston and this song really makes me happy to live here.
I love boston
Cam Matthew were you drunk or something legit you’re asking for people to die on a transportation song that’s literally made for children
Same!
@@nathantzhang who says it for children???
@@maknyc1539 i basically meant its family friendly
For all the recent woes the MBTA has been suffering, this was a much-needed moment of cute whimsy! I love this!!
I definitely like taking trains and buses. Makes it fun for me just walking around and meeting some old friends around Boston.
My 4.5 yo boy likes your video of MBTA! Thankyou.
Well, of all the tributes to the MBTA I've ever seen/heard, that was certainly one of them.
i love this song
I absolutely love this song. It's undoubtedly a fact the MBTA has had a huge impact on Boston. Without it Boston wouldn't be what it is today, and the impact the positive impact the MBTA has on Boston is further backed by it's fan base. You guys are amazing and so is your song keep up the great work
Brilliant song, Mr Solomon. Very well composed and performed. Likewise for the video itself. Thanks for writing it and posting it. Glad I found it by following a youtube trail after a search for something else. As you probably know, the MBTA's woes continue. Yesterday our state governor announced that the Orange Line was to be closed for a month. The T has had a number of trains that simply rolled away from their parking spot. A poor soul was dragged to his death after his arm got stuck in a train door. A train burst into flames as it was crossing a bridge in East Boston. Every day brings a new delay or crash or crime. The T is in bad shape. But thanks again for your wonderful creation, which is substantial and not silly at all as Mr Silverstein recommends.
That song says "Come on down to the Boston Subway." That song is nice for Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority. Mass transit can be good.
I’m from Boston and saw this on my recommended. I love this song so much ❤️
what fun! Love public transportation!
Theres a lie, About rush hour, no one has smiles on there face on the T. Lol
I said the same thing! 😂
I do :)
@@NortheastCorridorFilms yay
Except for the dope fiends and perverts.
Jon, that was great fun tho watch! Nice to see you (virtually) and hear you sing for the first time in over 30 years. All the best! -Jeff T. '88
A delightful piece of silly folk! Lived in Boston for a handful of years now. I definitely both love and hate the MBTA. The best is those rides across the Charles River :)

MBTA Boston Feels like SEPTA Philadelphia to me.
I enjoyed this a lot. Nice work.
I love this!!!
that was a surprisingly fun song
Now if we could only bring back the RTS Buses! But nice song!
Good Song, Bro!

Nobody’s smiling at park street. They need to install some goddamned ac down there. It’s like 400° in the summer
Hi
Love it
I like the song. Red, Blue, Orange, and Green. Its my personal limousine. Hehe. It is really cool. 😎
The blue line guy looks like tito from sml
they really hired a guy to act like a drunk guy on a train 🤣
This should be an advertisement for the T. Great job! When can we see another video? It’s been more than a year.
For the heap of blunders that will be stop piling up the T is in rn this is well needed and memorable love this 💞
At 1:51, was that Charlie lying on the seat? Kendall-MIT, at 3:30, was where his trip started on that tragic and fateful day.
0:34 Cambridge fire department L3 can be seen. Did you see this by any chance? A red ladder truck
Da subway is my limbo 😎
"I wouldn't call it fast but it ain't slow" Man this lyric aged like milk in direct sunlight.
that was good times
This was fun. Go public transit.
i love the t even though i live in nyc
1:47 Nice beatles refrence
Sorry but u guys forgot about the silver line and the commuter rail
Next stop: Copley (NO SMOKING PLEASE)
nah that's boylston
What about commuter rail?
When I lived in Boston, it seemed that the T had something against me. I'd get on a trolley and it would go out of service after 3 other trains went by.
If I were Charlie, I'd wait forever 'neath the streets of Boston.
Or the Red Line train that had the heat on in July - the driver could not turn it off.
I love the T
I'm going to utilize the commuter rail service rather than the t when I go to college
The commuter rail is part of the T...
People don't smile in Boston. Rush hour or not
For everyone saying it's just about the subway, then they need to edit the title because it says MBTA Song, not MBTA Subway Song. No need to be rude to people because the creators didn't make it clear that this is strictly about the rapid transit lines even though Silver is one of them albeit BRT.
Off those high horses, folks.
You'll chafe your legs for sure!

No silver line huh?
I didn’t even know mbta had a song
You forgot about the purple line………
rip purple line
I wonder where they are now
MBTA
What about the Commuter Rail (Purple Line)?
That is what I'm saying.
It's not the purple line. That's just the color used to tell them apart from the rest of the system. But we get what you mean.
@@blue9multimediagroup Yeah, it's not called the purple line. People call it that even though that's not what it's called at all XD
@@blue9multimediagroup we can see why it would be called it tho
cuz every other line is named by the color
@@NortheastCorridorFilms because the commuter rail goes a much further distance than the metro. It spans out to different towns and cities and some things are way different like the speed, fares, schedules, function. So it's its own separate system called the commuter rail, not the purple line
oooooooooooh
I think the purple line is the forgotten one
The most honestly painful video I've ever seen
illogical
This hasn't aged well
Hey you forgot about the silver line.
01:47 Lauren, Emma, Glen and Nick. [ job lottery cambridge masonic temple ]
Expectations vc reality lol
OMG You forgot commuter rail and silver line HOW DARE U😭😭😭
Are you an idiot? The Silver Line Is obviously a bus, the commuter rail is a huge passenger train. The Video Is Talking About Subways.
@@hondacrvguy really could've said that without being rude
What about the commuter rail
Tommy D it not a subway because it goes out of state.
Just one state, Rhode Island
@@aperson1971 Commuter barley goes out of state lol
@@aperson1971 that doesn't determine heavy rail since WMATA in DC and PATCO both serve multiple states.
Wasn't that something wasn't that something Tony Cheryl came on for about 15 to 20 minutes ago that was great Tony chimel. Was that something Tony chimel V. Great I started a long time ago I'm 70 years old and I work at Planet Fitness where can I buy Planet Fitness the timer I had I couldn't work out at Planet Fitness as I was doing some errands for my sister Rey Mysterio going to last three Falls I haven't seen it 2 out of 3 Falls match this is the first one I've seen for a long time since 1972 or 70 60s is when I scored a nice calling him and Lou Albano and 2 out of 3 Falls with Ray Morgan sitting with that coffee cup sitting ringside oh that's cool way back a black-and-white unbelievable app for the coffee and everything so I will let you go back there this is the Democratic cowboy on Metro PC phone and got to get yourself a Metro PC phone if y'all set bye bye for now and stay warm when is Brockton night bye bye for now
Why would a rich person take the MBTA when they have the money to buy a Lamborghini hu?
A rich person cannot skip traffic
visitors or tourists
Using mass transit is cheaper than driving an automobile. The subway train beats rush hour traffic.
not to the rest of the world
red line is best greenline is a ligh rail so HA slow
Dont you dare disrespect the first Subway system in the world!
The Green line makes MBTA special, it wouldnt be without it
@@NortheastCorridorFilms ur right, the green line was the first subway system in America. Even though it’s a light rail, it has aspects of a subway
They barley showed blue
Blue line is the best they never had a accident
Its very rare
This is the Democratic Cowboy we're finally going to get that Rocky movie filmed in Brockton that's there any my phone died and might be a documenting if you going to do it I'm telling you all coronavirus again go to William mask keep your mask on we have asked see you down the road Democratic our way out
