This is like very arbitrary but I have mad respect both for how you listen to him when he's uncomfortable etc and how you take him seriously. I feel like a lot of sports parents can get sort of complacent with that type of thing because they just wan their kid to be good, and they stop caring about whether or not their kid enjoys what they're doing, so mad props to you for being as rad as you are
I don’t play hockey. I don’t watch hockey. Nobody in my family watches or plays hockey. I’m a college runner, but these videos are SO entertaining and I’ll just keep watching forever 😂

I got into hockey late in life (21) and your comment about new skates brought up a funny story for me. I bought a pair of skates and wonder why I was having such a hard time the first time I went to the rink, definitely helps when they’re sharpened😂

I might actually know, I had to play goalie for one game, as a LW. It was miserable

Your son is adorable. And great video for those who need instructions on putting on equipment, loved that you advised not to spend tons of money expensive sticks for young kids or those just getting into the game. I know a couple people who play and use top of the line sticks but can hardly skate and complained hockey was so expensive to get into. lol, it's not so bad if you don't drop $300-400 on a stick that isn't going to make you any better than a cheap wooden one. Also, love the Lanny MacDonald t-shirt!!

Hey coach Jeremy I hope you could get back to me on this, but recently I’ve been getting into hockey and there’s spring hockey coming up and it starts March 14 and I did already get hockey skates and I didn’t know like if I need all the hockey gear or if I can start out by just practicing skating for that like I just I just don’t know if I’m supposed to have all the gear for hockey to start playing
What! I live in Minnesota and no one wears neck guards! We don’t have to wear them if they don’t want too so I am shocked! Is that neck guard rule only in canada?
