I must admit, I did purchase a product and I was referencing them in my post. There was always was tugging at me about dealing with them, but I'm thinking, I just have to take chances in building my brand. That same something that's been tugging at me, brought me to this video. Thank you for the heads up and I know what to look out for now.
I don't fault anyone for trying to build their brand. There's lots of competition out there. You've to do everything you can. Thanks for watching! Best of luck.
Thank you for making this video. I just got approached by them as well, and I have a small account so was immediately suspicious. They sent me the same messages you show in your video, too. I'm going to report them on Instagram for spamming cuz this is the type of stuff that makes it harder for people like me who want to start a legit mental health organization to be taken seriously.
@@50shadesofbeige88 I will, and I'm going to make a reel of my own on IG linking to your video plus showing my own convo with them. I'm asking them more questions and they're giving interesting replies.
Well i wish i saw this before i greenlight a purchase. They gave me a tracking number i wasn't able to track. And i haven't seen a package in about three weeks now. They told me it was delivered and i should contact my nearest PO and unfortunately they told me its not on file. So i will give it another month but most likely a scam.
thanks, I recently started an e-commerce with a different profile on IG and they reached out to me, I was kinda confused as to why they would ask me to become an ambassador when I had like 1 follower, which btw was my personal acc and I was willing to buy their stuff, I even tried to save up some money. I almost fell for it. Again, thank you
Thanks for this, they just hmu during my twitch stream tonight. I'm good to get a couple obvious scams every once in a while but this one at least put more effort in than others lol. Still wouldn't trust them, thank you for making this video Beige!!!
Thanks for this review! I was approached by them too and their message seemed fine right up until I read that I had to buy something first. Big red flag.
And this is not the only outfit like this. NomadTrek Gaming, AlphaRigs, and I sure there are others - if you look at these sites, they all have very similar verbiage; give back to charity, help the community, etc, with pretty much the same items in their store. I am pretty sure KanVisto, along with these others, are all working together to suck the life out of small/getting started content creators. BEWARE of these communications and sites. This is just a new kind of scam...
If you're really that marketable, then why not buy an inexpensive item and then quickly make the money back in commission? I'd see it as a win-win: the small streamer gets a chance at a lot of exposure for the cost of buying an item from their store (which is much cheaper than paying to boost your posts/sponsor ads for a limited time).
No. It sets a bad precedent and most people who have ordered never received their items. Also, the items are outrageously overpriced and they justify that price by stating that they give to "mental health". Which is nonsense.
I'm not here to throw shade at anyone for trying to promote their channel. Do what you've got to do. The fact remains, Kanvisto isn't in the business of promoting creators. They're in the business of selling drop ship tat at a premium price. More power to them. I've got no problem with that. This brand ambassador program is really just a quid-pro-quo disguised as a partnership.
What do you think? Is it a scam? Or just a miscommunication?
I honestly believe its a scam trying to hide behind the fact that many people suffer from mental health. A very low blow of them to do.

thank you so much for sharing this! they reached out to me and it sketched me out from the beginning
Thanks for watching!
Also, we're compiling a list of shady brand deals. Be sure to stay tuned for that next week.
Nice investigating! 👍 It's definitely scary and exciting for smaller creators to get these deals, easy prey due to lack of experience.
Thanks. I appreciated your input on this.

Their spam comments on everything my cosplay site posts on Facebook and Instagram are annoying as fuck.
Agreed
@@50shadesofbeige88 Alpha Rigs does the same thing. They just sniff hashtags and set the bots loose.
@@garrukgames5511I'm making a list of these companies. I'll release a video about it this weekend.
