My Player Ratings based on what performance I expected from individuals:
- Pickford - 6.5/10 (Expectation 7/10) Good shot Stopper, poor distribution causing possesion loss & buildup of pressure against Spain.
- Walker - 2/10 (Expectation 6/10) Doesn't overlap/underlap or make progressive passes, positionally unaware, lapses of concentration, only has recovery pace.
- Stones - 6/10 (Expectation 7/10) Good-Ok defensively, showed his progressive carrying skills once in the final.
- Guehi - 8/10 (Expectation 5/10) Defensively great & proactive, probably best English player in the Tournament, needs to improve on winning more aerial duels.
- Konsa - 7/10 (Expectation 6/10) Came in for suspended Guehi & performed very good.
- Trippier - 3/10 (Expectation 7/10) Has played many a times for England in previous tournaments/friendlies as a LB but still hasn't developed his left foot to cross or even pass.
- Shaw - 6.5/10 (Expectation 7/10) Came back in the QF & provided balance to the team but lacked match fitness & faded after 55 minutes in the FInal.
- Rice - 5.5/10 (Expectation 8/10) Poor in possesion, lack of progressive passes, lost some crucial challenges that led to goals, struggled until was paired up with Mainoo & had his best game against Switzerland & Slovenia.
- Mainoo - 8/10 (Expectation 6/10) Great tempo dictator, progressive passer/dribbler, made the midfield look 100 times better than in the group stages, needs to work on defensive positioning when facing transition/counter.
- Trent - 5/10 (Expectation 8.5/10) Struggled defensively as an out and out CM, Underutilised & criminally subbed off for Galagher.
- Galagher - 3/10 (Expectation 4.5/10) Ran around tackling people & racked up Yellow cards for no reason.
- Saka - 6/10 (Expectation 8.5/10) Was the only attacking threat of Foden-Kane- Saka Trio, had some clutch moments but got shut down in the 2nd half of most games.
- Palmer - 8/10 (Expectation 6/10) Great Impact Sub, great attacking threat had an assist in SF & a Goal in the final as a SUB.
- Foden - 3/10 (Expectation 8.5/10) Didn't create or score a single goal, unlike for Man City, was a bit better playing centrally but still no end product.
(Edit - Missed Bellingham Rating)
- Bellingham - 5.5/10 (Expectation 8/10) Held on to the ball too long most of the times & tried to dribble too much, had a couple of Clutch moments but failed to get involved in games & that's not an option for a player playing as a #8 or a #10.
- Kane - 2/10 (Expectation 7/10) Drops deep too often, never in postion in the box for crosses, wasn't able to hold up the ball.
- Watkins - 7/10 (Expectation 5/10) Scored the winning goal in SF as sub, provided energy in pressing & streched the opposition defences.
- Toney - 7/10 (Expectation 5.5/10) made an impact whenever he came on, provide assist in extra time to win against Slovenia after 6 Minutes after comin on as a sub.
- Southgate - 3/10 (Expectations 4/10) Slow Subs, but made some game changing subs, didn't take a backup LB, Negative tactics as usual, tried to paly all the big names & crumbled under the pressure of the media to play big names & screwed the balance of the team in the process.
Disclaimer - I'm an Arsenal fan but not an England fan & tried to remove all my biases for Arsenal players & rival club palyers for an objective assesment.
I would say that's pretty accurate. Mainoo could possibly have been the best player but he actually had quite a poor final considering his other performances but he's young and he will only improve. 👍🏼

@louiespage stop watching football if you believe this dog shit statement, Saka was miles better than Foden and even when Foden went into the middle he was shit, Saka would have been top scorer of this competition if Foden and Walker watched their runs better, he got us through in the quarters with a great goal and had two disallowed for offside in the knockouts too (which he was actually onside for in both of them)

Pickford needs calling out over constantly hoofing the ball to nobody. Even Watkins was perplexed with one of the balls and threw his hands up in despair.
it's not like the players in front of him were gradually passing it up the pitch to the forwards. They passed it up to the halfway line then came all the way back to the keeper again.

The dishonesty of this panel. Bellingham didn't show up this tournament. One great moment doesn't give somebody a 6-7. Forget about reputation what did he do for the team. And the JOKE to even contemplate giving Kane a 5. Stop it. If he wasn't fit that's one thing but it doesn't affect his rating. I'll easily say, with no hesitation, he was our worse player this tournament. Made it like England were playing 10 men a lot of the time. Lucky to get a 3 in my eyes. I think the panel were scared to say what they really thought or were blinded by reputation.

3 goals, golden boot winner, didn't miss any chances that he should have put away. So why a 3? yeah - everyone knows he drops to deep....but people are going over the top with hounding him. We still didn't beat spain with watkins and palmer on the pitch.

Kane never turns up when it matters (Including outside the Euro's and World cup) and its obvious he's carrying an injury. Only five players deserve a 7 rating, Pickford a 6, mainly due to him blasting up the pitch (but then we kept passing it down to him). Everyone else below a 5 easily, some below a 3.
Individual moments are irrelevant, its about how they worked as a team and what they did to help that team accomplish it's goals consistently rather than spur of the moment goals, that kept us up, against opposition we should of beat with some confidence.
For Southgate a 2.5 two trophies he could of won and be binned both of them, there's a reason why he's leaving and he even if he didn't win it, he would go. Nice bloke, excellent mediator, terrible coach. 2022 World cup we could of gone further really, but I guess that's up for debate.
a 2.5 also for his inability to make proper subs, nepotism, favourites, weak nature, reactive, negative football and no system to build the team around either. Personally Kane should get a 2.0, had some moments and that was it.
He's built an excellent framework, although knowing the FA they will assign another politician and we will be back to square one. Humans tend to vindicate, worship, idolise and celebrate winners for a reason.
