Great job! Am an irrigator and also specialize in drainage. Hoping to get more into lawn drain maintenance. Do you have a recommendation for camera equipment? Thanks, David
Researching adding sewer scopes to my business. Question: what about check valves , aka backwater valves? Does Jim or others who perform these run into them often? Won’t the camera get stuck in them when pulling the camera back out?
As @jessepad said, NEVER push through a backwater valve BUT if you find one, STOP and try to find the access panel for the backwater valve. If you locate it, then open it up, take out the flapper and continue on with your inspection. Just remember to put everything back when you're done 😜
Why sewer scope inspection did find something suspicious? Maybe it's a regional thing but in NJ Our home inspector never recommend that only running & flushing the toilets.
YOU MUST have a sewer line inspection with video .... My son bought a brand new home less than a yr later sewer blockage due to broken underground pipe cost him $10,000 to fix
@@TheJavonplayer They are an add-on service. Pricing is between $200 to $300 depending on the company. I think that these should be included with every home inspection.
If it sounds to good to be true....😂😂 they get your number and you have a bunch of solar companies calling you. I had one company come to my house, pry his way in my gate and start knocking on my doors and window. He told me we had a meeting scheduled at 4pm. I didn't schedule any meeting😅
I am 59 yrs old and I still love doing this work for a living. It's always different, but all the same.

Getting this done in about 5 days in my new home, hoping it doesn't make a mess and it doesn't look like it will.
It's actually a very clean inspection process. And very cool because of the video recording.
@@internachi Thank you, I hope they take their shoes off when walking on my new carpet.

Hi, Corey. Jim is the inspector to ask for sure. Best to reach out to him directly at www.nachi.org/certified-inspectors/james-krumm-cmi-6629
Never push your camera through a check valve. If you are lucky, you can stick something in the line to hold up the damper.

Yes. Sometimes Jim will take the scope on the roof.
If that is cold water then what is the steam?
Hm. Good question, Tamara.
Septic..
That's the sewer gasses.

Wrench
This reminds me of my colonoscopy. 😆

Are these typical included in a general home inspection or is this separate
