'Bhangra Saanj' is the culmination of a long-standing wish for a collaboration between SCI and Beats Antique. Michael Kang, David Satori and Sidecar Tommy all share a particular affinity for West African, Middle Eastern and Eastern European music... as well as funky stringed instruments, whether it be bouzouki, saz, ngoni, violas or electric mandolins. Once Kang visited Beats’ studio in Oakland, the track took to life, and 'Bhangra Saanj' was born.
Video filmed live at Hulaween 2017.

In This Thread: people with pre-defined expectations of other peoples art. You want to be a fan of conceptual bands and music, but not of conceptual videography? Lol!
Great work, everyone! I wholeheartedly enjoyed the video.
You know what they say: "Those that know the least, say the most"
What an awesome collaboration! Nice work!
The song could (SHOULD!)win a few awards! The editing in this video...Not so much! I can appreciate that they tried an odd conceptual idea! Hell! I have done that myself.BUT...Not exactly the most flattering editing,at the same time though I have seen MUCH worse,so...I'm okay with it! As a whole...Loving this! The song's blending of various cultures is very much the type of work I wish to do!
I agree. The video is not my style, but it fits really well with the world-culture-hippy-experimental-electronic nature of the song.
I've also listened to this song about 1000 times. :)
Excellent track!
LSD video editing, but great song :)
