- The Duchess of Cambridge has become Patron of the Foundling Museum. Kate visited the museum in Bloomsbury, central London on Tuesday learn how the organisation works with art and artists to transform the lives of vulnerable and marginalised young people.
The Duchess said the Foundling Museum's work "connects and celebrates two subjects that are deeply important to me: children and art".
Author and broadcaster Lemn Sissay wrote and recited a poem to commemorate Kate's patronage of the museum.

I love the Duchess of Cambridge. I love seeing her at work on the one hand, but on the other I’m sure she’s such a great mother and may want to be at home. She does a phenomenal job at every engagement to be present to the people she is meeting and working with. She is a great example to young women around the world!

If Kate is going out for this visits is bc The Queen has ordered her to do so, in the same way that Harry and Meghan are with theirs. I do not see why some are making it a competition when there should be none. Meghan is given her duties so as to familiarize her with the work the RF has done for the people and the commonwealth since she is new to the family. The Queen gave the same opportunity with Kate when she became a royal. The Queen has been more than generous to show them the ropes and did not assign them responsibilities to compete with each other.
