I had two important thoughts run through my head: This is so freaking awesome, and I'm very proud of how far Mark has come. Iron Lung is an amazing choice to expand the lore with, through a movie. And... THAT explains the fake-blood-in-the-eyes incident.

The concept of Iron Lung scares the bejesus out of me. Decades after all of the cosmos disappears in the blink of an eye, four *human* blood oceans pop up on distant moons and they send humans to explore their depths. They only find an eldritch monstrosity lurking in the deep. I've watched many horror movies and thrillers, most of them are at best predictable compared to iron lung, the lore is suggestive of a wrathful force which ripped a handful of starships from all of reality. What for? This is why I love cosmic horror; the unanswered. Marky did good with this! props from a long time fan. Been one since Amnesia; the great work. You're awesome, Markiplier!
I have to be completely honest, my first thought was "Well no wonder he got the fake blood in his eyes and ears!" Truly though this looks absolutely AMAZING! This gave chills down the spine, and made me sooooo pumped for the movie! Great job Mark and great job to the game devs of Iron Lung to start this spark of inspiration!

Even if you've played the game, the premise of this movie might still be a mystery. All we know is that it is based on the Iron Lung game. That doesn't mean it will directly follow the same story, so there might be a lot of new things we will see in this movie.

I am literally still so excited, I want to see this movie more than anything, I have such high hopes for it, this is one of my favorite games, and I can't wait to see how it gets flipped into a full length film.

The most important aspect that made iron lung is claustrophobia. The fact that the dude in the trailer is standing upright in an empty, open space doesn't instill confidence..
They did shoot in an actual submarine set so I imagine a large portion of the movie will be in that, this probably isn’t even in the movie and is just created for a trailer
this was probably just a one off scene meant for promotional stuff. im sure that with the og dev being on the team they’ll stick to as close to the original game as possible

Y'know, most trailers for horror movies I've seen recently have rambling speeches that are just made to sound cool and don't really mean much. This one not only sounds cool but actually makes sense in the Iron Lung setting. I can't wait for this movie.
This does answer some questions… as of how you end up in the hospital because some “goo” got into your eyes and ears. Other than that the trailer looks SICK, thank you for sharing this masterpiece Mark.

You gotta think, he probably played for literal hours, and cut down that footage to 30 minutes, edit it, sound design, all the good stuff. This was a good chunk of this man's time, I imagine
at first i was skeptical. i thought "how is a less than an hour-long game that takes place entirely within the confines of a claustrophobic submarine gonna be turned into a full movie?" but now i am seriously hyped for it. markiplier is better at making films than most production companies, so i think we already know it's gonna be good.

Even on that point though, it’s so amazing to see how his filmmaking has brought him to this point. As an artist myself, it’s very inspiring. And for the reference, yes I watched Markiplier as a preeteen too. I was born in 2004, so I’m still pretty young lmao.
I have watched this like a million times now, and I can't help but to keep watching it. I love how dark it is, and the entire idea. The voice and what they say is so cool, too! Can't wait to finally watch the movie when released!
I am SO glad that this was how he chose to make the trailer. That note is just… absolutely phenomenal. It puts an even more deadly weight on the atmosphere than you already feel from the start. If I’m honest? It’s one of my favorite notes in a horror game to find. Reading that was the moment I felt like I was really at the bottom of a bloody ocean.
I mean you got like a CZcamsr, actor, film director, film producer, film writer, (in my opinion a great singer) Its like the complete package that you could want, Mark is truly an incredible person

This trailer strangely feels very cosmic horror which is one of my favorite genre. I am so damn excited to see this movie. I'm so proud of how far Mark has come and I'm glad to have stuck with him since 2013. Watching him grow as a person and pursue his passion is so satisfying to see. The game lore is INCREDIBLY this. The basic idea is that one day. Every habitable planet and star in the entire universe simply vanished. Leaving nothing but ghost light and mirages. And, in one spot, a moon with an ocean of human blood.
@@jonmc6573 I've only watched the first Iron Lung video and part of the update. I didn't get the feel of cosmic horror that much back then. I'm a little picky with what I'd define as a good cosmic horror. (Personal bias of course) I'm not exactly sure how you can be so sure that I have not watched the videos but sure you can say I have not or that I didn't understand.

Mark’s videos are insane. Not the videos themselves, those are incredible. But how popular he is. Can you imagine posting a video, and 2 minutes later it has hundreds of likes and thousands of views? Mark is an incredible creator, and I truly admire how talented he is. Keep up the good work.
That just shows how talented and driven Mark is. You don't just sit and play a game and make goofs, videos are hard work. Mark puts in the extra mile and it shows, even if he's just doing a quick let's play. He's driven, and hyperfocuses on doing stuff, and has even mentioned that his friendships suffer for it. But in the end, he's able to create something so unique and personal that all the effort makes sense.
It is terrifying, I had to re watch and pause to see it better, if you look closely at the shadow creeping up on mark as he turns around to face the audience.....looks like big jaws are closing in on him.

well the developer isn't exactly small, nor is iron lung his first game, with there game dusk basically kick-starting the publisher known as nee blood who are the publishers of a fair amount of games with faith, dusk, and ultrakill being the most known, and this is not the first time they have interacted with a somewhat important individual, civvie 11 made the intro to the final boss of dusk special in his beneath dusk video trilogy for a reason that even as a teenager who didn't grow up at the right time period to truly appreciate it can understand.

The most important aspect that made iron lung is claustrophobia. The fact that the dude in the trailer is standing upright in an empty, open space doesn't instill confidence..
They did shoot in an actual submarine set so I imagine a large portion of the movie will be in that, this probably isn’t even in the movie and is just created for a trailer
this was probably just a one off scene meant for promotional stuff. im sure that with the og dev being on the team they’ll stick to as close to the original game as possible

I have watched this like a million times now, and I can't help but to keep watching it. I love how dark it is, and the entire idea. The voice and what they say is so cool, too! Can't wait to finally watch the movie when released!
I am SO glad that this was how he chose to make the trailer. That note is just… absolutely phenomenal. It puts an even more deadly weight on the atmosphere than you already feel from the start. If I’m honest? It’s one of my favorite notes in a horror game to find. Reading that was the moment I felt like I was really at the bottom of a bloody ocean.

This trailer strangely feels very cosmic horror which is one of my favorite genre. I am so damn excited to see this movie. I'm so proud of how far Mark has come and I'm glad to have stuck with him since 2013. Watching him grow as a person and pursue his passion is so satisfying to see. The game lore is INCREDIBLY this. The basic idea is that one day. Every habitable planet and star in the entire universe simply vanished. Leaving nothing but ghost light and mirages. And, in one spot, a moon with an ocean of human blood.
@@jonmc6573 I've only watched the first Iron Lung video and part of the update. I didn't get the feel of cosmic horror that much back then. I'm a little picky with what I'd define as a good cosmic horror. (Personal bias of course) I'm not exactly sure how you can be so sure that I have not watched the videos but sure you can say I have not or that I didn't understand.

That just shows how talented and driven Mark is. You don't just sit and play a game and make goofs, videos are hard work. Mark puts in the extra mile and it shows, even if he's just doing a quick let's play. He's driven, and hyperfocuses on doing stuff, and has even mentioned that his friendships suffer for it. But in the end, he's able to create something so unique and personal that all the effort makes sense.

well the developer isn't exactly small, nor is iron lung his first game, with there game dusk basically kick-starting the publisher known as nee blood who are the publishers of a fair amount of games with faith, dusk, and ultrakill being the most known, and this is not the first time they have interacted with a somewhat important individual,
civvie 11 made the intro to the final boss of dusk special in his beneath dusk video trilogy for a reason that even as a teenager who didn't grow up at the right time period to truly appreciate it can understand.
