I’d recommend watching Bluecoats 2013 “To Look For America” if you haven’t already, since a lot of your videos revolve around America. It’s the show that made me a Bluecoats fan. 😁

I love this show an irrational amount because I love the Edward Hopper painting Nighthawks. I don't care for every BD show, but this one is definitely one I love. This was fun to see live...

Just got backstory, this show is based on the famous painting “Nighthawks” painted by Edward Hopper. This show was more of a background and answering the question about the painting of who the people in the painting are and how they got to that diner. And in the very end those props made the diner that was in that painting along with the Corp members who played the individual people in it.
Also because of this show, nighthawks is my favorite painting!!!!! That ending never fails to give me chills
There’s a CZcams channel called “nerd writer” I think, there’s an episode dedicated to “nighthawks” and it’s absolutely beautiful. I recommend seeing it.

The 2021 DCI season just concluded a couple of weeks ago. This year's season was a shorter exhibition season only, with no competition and no champion declared. It was a "return" season because of 2020 being cancelled, and seen as a bridge to next year's full return season, which will also be the 50th anniversary season. Because there was no competition, I don't know what the status is as far as performance videos for 2021.
There are actually quite a few performance cideos from 2021 on youtube.
I was at this show live. Blue Devils were great, their color guard actually had the highest score of the evening! While I did love Blue Devil's show, I was even more in love with Santa Clara Vanguard's show which you have already reviewed. I am from the San Francisco bay area so I was so happy to have these two corps, who are only 37 miles apart from each other end up first and second. The Mandarins from Sacramento, who also made the top 12 for the first time in their history, (placing 10th) gave California three corps out of the 12 that made Finals. The fact that these 3 corps are within 2 hours of each other is amazing! In the 1980's there were 4 corps from California that made the top 12 in 1984, 1985, 1989 and 1992. These 4 corps were the Blue Devils, Santa Clara Vanguard, Sacramento Freelancers and the Velvet Knights from Anaheim, California. Unfortunately, the Freelancers and Velvet Knights fell into financial difficulties and had to disband. I marched in the Sacramento Freelancers in 1983 and 1984. Take a look at the 1983 Sacramento Freelancers winter guard show as well as the 1983 and 1984 Velvet Knights winter guard shows. They are all on CZcams and both guards were fantastic.

I actually got to attend a DCI show this year, our local one to me, which I thought was going to be canceled, ended up NOT being canceled. I got to see Mandarins, Blue Knights, Crossmen, Troopers, Gold, and Genesis corps. I think my favorite this year was Mandarins, although I really liked the Blue Knights show as well. I would have liked to see the Bluecoats show "Lucy" in person, but couldn't make it happen. Mandarins and Blue Knights shows are DEFINITELY worth watching.

I would highly recommend bluecoats 2018 “session 44” it’s by far my favorite show and definitely would’ve won the 2018 dci world championships if Santa Clara didn’t absolutely kill it

I've seen alot of people at rodeos that aren't aren't cowboys, no nothing of the culture, or it was their first time attending a rodeo, and they fully enjoyed themselves. If you want some crazy stuff, watch the worst crashes PBR. (Bullriding)
How come of all the corps I have a hard time watching the blue devils shows most of all? Seems to hurt my ears and go on longer than the rest of the corps shows.
