    ABOUT US
    Ultimate Night Vision is an industry leader in night vision, thermal imaging and digital NV devices. Night vision is not just a profession for us, it is our passion. Here in Texas, we are fortunate enough to be able to use NV and thermal scopes for hog hunting, coyote hunting, and hunting other predators and varmints at night. The firsthand knowledge gained through hunting with NVD's on a regular basis allows us to provide accurate and relevant information to our customers.
    We carry a wide variety of optics from all major manufacturers including Trijicon, Pulsar, Flir, Armasight, L3, Harris and more. We strive to provide unbiased information to aid customers in the decision-making process.
    We also have a nationwide rental program which gives customers the unique opportunity to test and compare various devices under real-world conditions before committing to a large purchase.
    Our channel features product reviews, instructional videos, comparisons, and plenty of actual hunting footage.

    Incredibly misleading and horrible comparison... I can't believe you guys published this. Either get your vision checked, or morals... I'm not sure which is off in this instance but one of the 2 apparently is. The Halo LR simply blows away the Pulsars with respect to clarity and definition. Are you guys trying to unload Pulsars right now or what? Sorry for being so critical, but I'm just dumbfounded by this blatantly poor comparison!

    • @Ultimatenightvision
      @Ultimatenightvision  Před 4 lety +56

      A few things: We sell all of these scopes. What would I have to gain by posting a misleading comparison? What are you claiming is misleading about the video? Are you saying I altered the video to make the N-Vision scopes look worse? Or I somehow made the Pulsar scopes look better than they really are? Rather than questioning my morals and my visual acuity, which makes absolutely no sense btw, maybe you should question your own logic and critical thinking and figure out why you would be so triggered by an innocuous comparison video.

      @ThermalFeed Před 4 lety +2

      Ultimate Night Vision correct me if I’m wrong, this is a comparison of the recording capabilities, field of view, and other things of that sort. Not the actual clarity seen through the optics.

      UNV.... In all candor.... that's exactly what this video left me thinking... what's going on. It clearly states in the title that it's a Ultimate Thermal Comparison.... and I've felt that you all have always very fairly represented the optics you have reviewed or put to use in the field. So.... if you said this was an FOV comparison, or a video output comparison, etc, one might walk away understanding your objectives for this video. However, by stating that this is the Ultimate Thermal Comparison, and then providing results such as this, which are clearly not representative of what these optics are capable of with respect to what most end users consider as primarily important, (clarity of the optic).... then I suppose it's leaves the question... what is the purpose for the obvious discrepancy. Those of us who are familiar with these optics are obviously going to speak up and say... .what gives. Those that don't know are going to thank you guys for the information you provided... leaving this video with the impression that the pulsars blow away the Halo LR, which you and I both know is obviously not the case. So perhaps a more accurate title or voicing explaining what your objectives are for the video might provide viewers and those combing for information about the optics they plan to throw down their hard earned cash for... with good information as to make sure they get an optic that meets their needs. Personally, if I didn't know better.... I'd assume that the Halo LR wasn't worth the $7500 it commands... when in fact, after having been behind it as well as the Pulsar and Trijicons, I absolutely believe it does.

      @@jamesbostock9986 I don't understand why you think the Halo looks bad in the video. Are you watching it in low resolution on your phone? Did you watch the video of me walking down the road?

    • @Ultimatenightvision

      @@ThermalFeed There will often be some differences in what the recording looks like compared to what you see through the eyepiece, however the Halo footage was filmed through the eyepiece and the footage is a good representation of what I was seeing through the scope that night. The only scope that was really handicapped in this comparison is the Atlas 100mm which was recorded through the video output to a DVR. We are the only vendor that offers the N-Vision Atlas 100mm, so any claims that I attempted to make it look worse are pretty silly.

    Outstanding comparison. Kudos to whomever thought this up. I know it took a lot of editing and coordinating. This answers questions I didn't know I had. The N-Vision gear has outstanding definition on the animals, but maybe the background is a little washed out in comparison. The Pulsar gear has less definition on the animals, but the background is more defined. And I can definitely see the difference between the Thermion and the Trail. I will remember this video when I call to purchase. Great stuff. This is your online sales brochure when you have customers asking questions about the differences.

    The resolution of the Atlas line is very impressive. I own an XP50 Trail. If i had it to do over, I'd likely go the same way, or with the Thermion, though. The multiple and significant software advantages, longer battery life, and better durability more than make up for the slightly reduced resolution of the XP50 Trail/Thermion, IMO. Especially given the distances most people are going to be shooting, with Thermal sights. I'd imagine very few people regularly shoot beyond 150 yards with it. If I was regularly shooting out beyond 250 or so, it might be a different story.

    and sure the N-vision both looks stellar, but they are also in another price ballpark in regards to Pulsars 640x480 variant and not to mention the 320x240 versions.

    Anyone looking at this needs to remember that depth of field is still going to be a thing even though it's thermal imaging. Some of the images that are being blasted in the comments actually have fantastic clarity.... just not focused in the right spot. Others that seemed to have "better" image quality simply had a larger depth of field. Some commenters may benefit from looking again at the background, not the target animals. The focus simply needed to be adjusted closer in.
    Am I wrong about this? Is it a parallax thing?

    After watching video and reading discussion below am still not conviced why should I pay for Atlas 25 - $5,795.00 if I can get an Axion 38 for twice lower price. Resolution differs but image is good for the price in Axion.

    • @Ultimatenightvision
      @Ultimatenightvision  Před 4 lety +2

      The Axion is small, light and will give you a long detection range for the money. The Atlas 25mm is kind of a different animal - higher resolution and clearer image, a lot less magnification, and much wider field of view.

    I see a winner here and its the halo. I can only compare my thermion xp38 to your thermion xp50 but the video is similar to what im seeing. The difference between my xq38 accolade and my thermion xp38 leaves me wanting to get rid of the accolade for a bino that replicates what i see through the thermion.

    • @BossPredatorAcoustics
      @BossPredatorAcoustics Před 4 lety

      I think what I learned is that either UNV had someone editing that needs their eyes examined, or that they are ok with blatantly misrepresenting thermal optic clarity. Guys that actually use or have used these thermals will recognize how far off this comparison is...Guys that don't, will be left with a total misrepresentation of the actual true clarity these optics actually provide.

    • @ThermalFeed
      @ThermalFeed Před 4 lety

      Nick Chaney this isn’t showing the clarity as seen through the optic, it’s showing the clarity that can be recorded. I’m more interested in how the field of view compares throughout the different options.

    • @ThermalFeed
      @ThermalFeed Před 4 lety

      Boss Predator Acoustics unless you perfectly mount a recording device behind the optic, you’re not going to accurately represent the optics clarity

    • @jamesbostock9986
      @jamesbostock9986 Před 4 lety

      @@ThermalFeed I absolutely agree... and even then, some video editing may be required to match the recorded video to what is seen through the eyepiece. Even using an LPMR-T, there are issues with clarity sometimes between the top and bottom of the optic... as well as screen distortion to contend with. I believe that the issue here is if this is the Ultimate Thermal Comparison, users walk away with an inaccurate perception of these optics. If I stated that this was the Ultimate Truck Comparison and then showed a Chevy 2 wheel drive making up a huge hill... and a Toyota 4 wheel drive that couldn't make it half way up... I'm sending a message. The critical question I kept thinking is... the message being received is inaccurate, which leads me then to wonder... WHY?
