In Spain they have the left wingers which indeed came from a former communist party. I agree that some commies like to change their label nowadays because its not fashionable. But no, Bernie never declared as a communist (nor is his ideology anywhere near to being communist), he always declared himself to be a socialist democrat. As a fan of Killer Mike and Bernie, I can reassure you, California is for Bernie. Living in San Francisco, there are Bernie posters and signs everywhere. People even made homemade signs in their bay windows that say "Bernie Sanders 2020", "We Stand with Hong Kong" and "Black Lives Matter". I call San Francisco Bernie town. My fellow Latinos, who call him "Tio Bernie" are giving him our vote. It's time.
@David N Well I fail to see how the guy who can't come close to winning a Dem primary is more electable than the guy who's kicking his ass. I also fail to understand how the Democrats outdid themselves in finding such a slimy and rat-like little candidate as Buttgieg. As far as I can tell, who gets the most votes in a primary is a pretty good predictor for who wins the election--even if that candidate is an insurgent. If anyone can beat Trump, it's Bernie.

You must be living in a different Netherlands than I am, because we don't have M4A and IT SUCKS. We used to have it, but now we have for profit health insurance leeches. M4A is the way to go folks, it cover everything and costs less, right now I'm paying so much and literally getting nothing in return.
Same in Germany. Our system is waaaay better than the American one - everyone is covered and is free to choose any hospital or doctor. But we still have a two class system with a private insurance for those who can effort it. That leads to different treatment in regards to the waiting time for an appointment and (I guess) also in regards to the time a doctor spends to diagnose or treat you properly. A one payer system should be the goal!
No we don't... long term care is government funded but the rest is handled by private companies!

@@vely8592 You are full of crap. The maximum premium here in the Netherlands is around 1600 euro a year, and people without a job, or those who receive social security or welfare even pay much less. And the maximum deductible is 380 Euro for a whole year no matter how often you need to visit the hospital that year. And everybody goes to the same high quality hospitals. It is not 100% the same as Bernie's proposal, but we are all well insured and well covered. I had 3 surgeries in the past 4 years, and the last one was 3 weeks ago, and everything was covered, and I don't have to worry about anything.
If you can't pay your premium you must be doing something very wrong. Maybe you should sniff a bit less cocaine, that helps.

You spelled "crony capitalism" wrong. This "corporate socialism" Bernie is referring to isn't socialism. Socialism would say "bail out the banks, but then the government gets to own them." Socialism is and always has meant "collective ownership of the means of production" aka-government ownership of industries/businesses.

It was an exceptional rally (or town hall or panel discussion or whatever you call this in English). I watched the whole thing 10 times or so. It's in the church of a black college (Bennett?) in Greensboro. Killer Mikes speech is at the end.
It indeed is a great speech, but Killer Mike makes it even greater. He's one of the very few who could bring it to life and amplify it the best way possible. He and Nina Turner are the most motivating and moving speakers I've heard.

Personally I consider it the best speech in American history since Reagan's 'tear down this wall' (despise the man, love the speech). Maybe that's bias, maybe that shows an ignorance of some recent speeches but I found this amazing and I actually teared up, especially watching one of the ad version of it (the one Jessica has given a link too).
