I listened to this message now more than a year after it originally aired, and it was a Rhema word from God for me. Thank you so much for this. Thank you Pastor Steven for your obedience to God and for sharing this. At the 45 min point of this sermon, when you started talking about Jesus calling her "daughter", I just started crying. Thank you for reminding ME that I am God's daughter. I can hold my head high, because He is the lifter of my head, and He loves me. I also laughed when you spoke about Abby, and how you treat her differently - I am the only daughter, have two brothers, and I was definitely a daddy's girl - I KNEW I was his favourite (though parents shouldn't have favourites, I know). My father passed away in 2014 and I miss him so much. I think of what my earthly father would have done for me, how he loved me, and I know that my Heavenly Father loves me infinitely more and He reminded me today, through you Pastor Steven, that I am His daughter.

This is my favorite sermon..I remember listening to this while driving to work, then totally losing it. He renamed her, gave her a new identity, moved her from a place of shame to a place of honor, Jesus called her daughter. It was this moment. I realized and accepted that I am His daughter, he loves me.

This hit me so hard. I've been struggling with a women's health issue for years where I'm literally bleeding internally just like the woman in the story. It's taken over my life and become my identity. I went to a specialist today and got really tough news. When I was making dinner tonight, I was going to watch Netflix, but felt a pull to watch a sermon instead. I went on Elevation's CZcams channel and just had this feeling that I needed to watch this one. Wow, if this isn't my story, I don't what is. When he started talking about being a daughter, I just broke down in tears. When I heard my name at the end of the sermon, I started bawling even more. This was exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you so much Steven & Elevation church for putting this together & sharing it virtually. God used it to speak to me through my computer at dinner time. It was beautiful & I needed it more than anything. Thank you!!

I received Jesus Christ and I am not what I thought I was. I was sat down and locked up from my addiction to meth for 5 months. I choose to use that time to get my heart and head right and get back in tune with God and I was released from jail with absolutely nothing now here I am almost 8 months clean and sober and have been blessed with loving supportive family who took me in and believed that I could change and gave me a chance just like God gave me a chance. I am blessed with a great job in which I am training to become manager and I have been blessed to buy me a car and I will be 8 months sober on the 8 th of this month. All those who know me are in shock because I am not who they thought I once was!! Amen to God. And let me say this: The come back is always greater than the set back!! Amen! All praise and glory to God!

We all have had those people in life. But thanks be to God that he loves us enough to keep us here for a reason. I too was told things about myself from someone who I dated. Was told I wasnt enough or wasnt going to do this or that. And I have done MUCH MUCH more!! Jesus is real! 💜 you are a child of God

Congratulations on your sobriety. It's been 14 1/2 years for me... one dau at a time . Some days the only way I could make it a day was to just do a minute at s time. I got into celebrate recovery and got a sponsor, worked the steps and applied them to every area of my life. Thanks for sharing... it takes a lot of courage to come to thr realization that only a power greater than ourselves can relieve I'd from thr insanity... that power for me is Jesus Christ. God bless

I bawled my eyes out through this entire sermon, this message stirred up something in me I've never felt before. I grew up being abused, surrounded by alcoholism and drug addiction, I've experienced so much pain, but that is all it is: an experience, I'm not what I thought. No one in life has ever spoken to me the way this man has - directly to me as if the message was scripted specifically for my issues. Only God could do this, with pre-recorded messages that are months and years old. Pastor Furtick is speaking God’s words to me over and over again. It’s a well that has yet to run dry, restoring my faith each time I lose hope or feel unworthy…each message I tune in to receive. Thank you Pastor. I am not what I thought, and you are not what I thought either; I thought you were a preacher, but you are a conduit straight to the Lord. Bless you, and thank you for passing His blessings to me.

I was having anxiety which quickly transitioned into a full blown panic attack. I knew I was under attack, I began praying and after that decided to get on CZcams and watch Steven Furtick. This one popped up for me, it was so right. I have always thought of myself as my anxiety, my depression, my failed marriage, not good enough and a lessor child of God because of it all. I AM NOT WHAT I THOUGHT I WAS.

I just ugly cried through this word!!! I break the power of shame ... He stopped everything for the forgotten daughter!!! It's different when you know you belong. Help me Jesus embrace my authentic identity! I am a daughter of the king. Not a thief not a beggar. Some things can only be diagnosed by the manufacturer. My maker knows who I am.
I am not leaving a a woman with an issue of food. Jesus is healing this child of God.

These are the most comforting words you've been waiting for. I have cried seas here in my solitude .. God knows well all my battles ... today I don't want to talk about my pain, today I want to talk about how Jesus Christ is so aware of me! I needed a token of love, I was crying out for it! These words reached the depths of my heart "I will personally pray with you" ... the whole sermon was beautiful, but my breaking point came from feeling this show of love and kindness with those words .. Thank you Pastor, thank you for your humility and your mercy. God bless you, I pray for you and your family and the whole church every night, this is the only that have, I live alone in this shelter. I have been freed from 30 years of addiction and accepted by our Lord.
I wept listening to the Word, hearing Jesus call the woman with an issue, daughter ... I wept because I realized today that this is still an area in my life that has not healed since my divorce in 2004. I grew up with an abusive father so from little I had no idea what it actually felt like to be a daughter. I lived by fear. But my father-in-law was a good, good father and for the first time in my life I felt loved like a daughter. I felt protected and sheltered and that he genuinely cared for me ... the divorce was a harsh blow. I lost my home, my sense of family and my sense of being a daughter all in one blow ... today I'm 50yrs old and I burst into tears because, although I call God my Father, I still don't feel like a daughter. I know that God cares about my feelings too, not just my thoughts ... my prayer from today onward will be, "Father, show me love in a way that I will feel like a daughter. I don't want to just go through the motions but I want the Emotions too. I want to have the knowledge of who I am to God but also the confidence in my heart that I am exactly thát - A daughter ... not an abused girl who became a woman who was rejected and never found her place in her Father's arms ... I want more than this hollowness. So ! Steven if you perhaps read these messages, will you please pray for and with me. I want to be healed and made whole, in Jesus Name.

But today God helped me to face my demons, and l accepted myself, l accepted my past experience, l understood that everything that happened to me was a reason. Therefore l used every pain, rejection, and fear to make myself better. I understand everything that God says about me in the Bible is true about me. My identity is not in attached to anything but to only what God has given me.
I'm encouraging to start opening up to God how you feel be honest with Him. Because he already knows you but he wants to hear from you. Tell me that you need to live as child of God. That is the privilege God has given us. But the devil wants to Deceive us that we are not worthy to be God's children. But God loves us
I'm not defined by my past or what l have achieved. Is the reason l don't want to get attach my identity to anything but To only what God has said about me.

This message broke a stronghold off my life today!! God is so faithful and so detailed in his love!!!! And although you weren't talking to me when this was live streamed, in the recording at the end you called my name!!! This message broke the shame of incest off my life that I thought I dealt with. Just like the woman who walked away after her issued was healed, I thought my issue was healed through salvation. But God, calls me his daughter!!! He always gives us more than we can think or ask for. Thank you for your obedience to serve God and deliver his word to his people!

You speak as if you love God always perfectly which would cause you to keep all his commandments which none of us do. Even our worship has sin but we are cleansed by the blood of Christ and now a beautiful aroma goes up to God when we praise Him the perfection of Christ is upon us. We do not love God by trying to love Him with our strength but by receiving His love we fall more and more in love with Him and are transformed from the inside out beholding the glory of Christ. If you could do so there would be no need for Christ. Galatians 2:16 know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
Galatians 5:4 You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. We are not justified through our works but by faith alone in Jesus Christ if you look in the context of James 2:24 and read it in its entirety James is speak of justification before men not God.

1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. Notice it says the love of the Father is not in them. Not the love for the Father.
@@changed9047 I am all for walking well bro but pray for wisdom because the way to get there is not through your works but, through the Spirit of Christ which we receive. He is the only way we are transformed from the inside out.
@@changed9047 When you know how much God loves you bro that's what makes sin unattractive it's all perversions anyways Gods ways are higher and more fufilling because it's the way things are meant to be and so then it's not through your efforts. We know when things are wrong it is in our conscience as much as people try to subdue it. But one area I should mention is we should flee sexual temptations that's an area where we should really place no confidence in the flesh just a tip for anyone who may read. There are certain things we should stay away from but that is not work that's rejecting things. Which even then comes from the Spirit.
