Mad proud of you for the amount of traffic you've been getting on your channel these days. These no damage runs are fucking baller. By the way, what did you think about the Xigbar fight? And why do you cast heal sometimes? Does being in mp recharge allow situation command arrows to generate faster in the same way the drive form meter in KH2 restored quicker during this state?
Once you learn this fight, it becomes a lot easier. I absolutely love how he shoots straight up to distract you then shoots his quick shots while the slower ones come at you. I can't tell you how many times I died cause I was too busy looking at the shots that went up and forgot he shoots again straight at you. Really shows how smart the bosses are with these fights.
Vanitas works in a similar way with the improved version of his famous flame attack

@@Shadowhaze08 exactly Vanitas was probably one of my favourite data battles since it really feels like an improved version of his older self and he doesn't just gain completely new moves, yet he is still fun and challenging
Exactly. A lot of these fight have these kind of bait mechanics and I love that because I know I didn't die because of some bullcrap reason but it truly was my own fault for falling for it. These fights felt near impossible when I first played them on crit lv49, but learning each and every fight and finally beating them feels like such a great reward. Especially Xigbar's fight, but then you get just an AP boost and then you feel like, 🙃.

I like how the arenas are so large, Xigbar is harder to hear when he's on the other side.

Straight up! Like, this & Data Xemnas's themes are some of my top favorites in this game. Soooooo amazing!
Not all of these were Yoko's work. Forza Finale, for instance (The Nort Court) was done by Yasunori Nishiki, who also did Yugioh Master Duel, several songs in FF7 Remake, and the Octopath Traveler games. The whole team was fire.

This is definitely a better challenge compared to the other fights against him, it especially interesting when you use Showdown.
Probably because he wasn't being serious before, it always seemed like Xigbar was just along for the ride and more or less was apathetic to most things including fighting Sora.. Until the curtain rose that is.

@@LordMalice6d9 He will, the Foretellers are next, he and the Master of Masters are also Foretellers since all seven had a hand in dealing with the future. But, I don't think he'll show off his keyblade at first in order to make them underestimate him.
Kinda weird to see Xigbar actually standing on the ground for a boss fight.
Well, he does in Birth by Sleep as well.

Probably will be able to change his keyblade into those guns shoot through a bunch of portals, switch back to his keyblade and do a bunch of warp strikes while the bullets chase you around

I like the idea that this is what he canonically would have done if he really fought on full power. In his previous fights, he either held back or didn't take his opponent seriously enough to consider it a duel to the death. And it's believable too, since basically all of these moves are what he already used, just in a more overwhelming manner that is meant to mindgame his opponent into a loss.

Did you know that there is a glitch in this fight? If you activate "Showdown" at the same time that Xigbar changes the arena for the DM he will simply walk forward and do nothing. This allows you to finish the fight instantly.

This is probably easily my favorite Data fight thus far. Challenging but rewards good play and you even get a cool RC.

Kick is personally my favorite counter. Also made Dark inferno boss fight a lot easier for vanilla kh3
Kick is good if it’s difficult to stagger with Reprisals or if you have to gap close with the Reprisal (examples are Terranort and this fight respectively), but I find it falters in fights like Dark Inferno or Larxene for example where you just want the quick burst.

Mahir Tahseen Kick was really good for Young Xehanort in my experience
Robert Fowler Eh, I find Kick in YX to only be good if you don’t know where the openings are. Slash just nets extra damage once you learn the fight in that one.
Mahir Tahseen I knew the openings pretty well, and I could easily punish him with kick, plus if you land it during the DM it’ll usually take the amor off
I for real have been on this dude for like 2 hours on critical mode, and the entire time I thought the ONLY chance to hit Xigbar is right after Showdown. Didn't once occur to me to airstep into him. THIS is why I watch CZcams tutorials. Thank you!

Can I just say how good and how much effort was put into this battle? It 100% gives off Wild West shootout vibes! It doesn't only depend on how good you are at blocking, but it also depends on your reflex!

the more i watch this fight the more xigbar is fighting like he's actually trying to teach something. something about the manner in his voice and the respect of showdowns. just makes it seem like a tutorial and a bossfight had a baby.

Xigbar ended up being the easiest boss for me as pretty much all of his attacks outside the DM could be blocked and those that couldn't were more easily identifiable and were in mostly separate attack strings
What about Luxord? All of his attacks could be blocked and if you time it correctly you can counter his four cards move. Everything else is just keeping an eye out for the cards on the ground
I know about the restriction runs, but will you try speedrunning these fight eventually?

*Terra*:He...kept mocking me for being weak and I...used to the darkness to accidentally shot his eye out.
*Aqua*: 0__0!!!...Look, it wasn’t entirely your fault Terra. Xehanort played us all not just you.

*Ienzo*: So that explains the eyepatch...Anyway, Braig later changed to Xigbar after becoming a Nobody.
He has an affinity for Space which lets him teleport, change the arena, and even stand upside down in the air.
*Riku*: Yeah, he always fires arrows with his two crossbows. He can be a bit easy or annoyingly difficult depending on timing the blocks.
*Ienzo*: But remember that Xigbar has a few tricks up his sleeves. He can fire a few different ammo such as unblockable blue bolts.
But once you deflect enough arrows at him, Xigbar might trigger a duel with you. Don’t move until he starts to shoot, then fire quick shots at him for massive damage.
*Terra*: To think that man had close ties to Xehanort. Go get’em.
*Riku*: Right. Let’s roll Sora!

Considering what happened the last time someone with a keyblade dramatically shot a projectile at him, Data Xigbar's lucky Data Sora didn't just try to shoot his other eye out.
This was the easiest one for me, once I learned his moveset I could read him like a book. His desperation move is also way easier to avoid compared to Larxene.

Easily the most fun boss in the whole gauntlet in the data battles. being honest, I didn't realize the donuts could be walked around. So I just played defensely and waited for him to come to me. Got two or three showdowns that way, and took him to half health through the first phase, it felt incredible :0
0:57 I've learned a decent damage chance here. Right as xigbar sends his shots through the portals, the second you block, you'll have enough time to fully charge a shotlock before he changes the backdrop to normal again

Xigbar is one of those bosses that don't feel like bullshit if you can manage his attack patterns and whenever I lose, it would be my fault.
Would love to see xigbar being secret boss where first part would be him using his sniper, you will beat him and the he will summon no name get 10 more health bars and the real fight starts, him revealing he is Luxu to sora

How do you cancel the air step animation so fast? Every time I try I still break into that slow flow motion attack which throws off my combo.
I think you have to unable the flow motion attack from your abilities, so that instead you attack normally.
Dylan Perez you just disable the flow motion attack abilities.
Disable Sonic flash skill or something like that, it prevents you from using that slow attack

I think you can just turn off the flowmotion move in abilities, so when you attack you go straight into a combo.

The showdown only happened once in my fight with him, would rather it happen more often to make up for how big a pain he is to hit. Also not a fan of much his shots hurt sora compared to how little reflecting them hurts him
Why is cure being cast at the beginning? Does it have invincibility frames?
Can you guys explain to me why most people started using Kingdom Key in their roster? I'm using Ultima, Oblivion and Oathkeeper like a peasant in those fights.

I had completely forgotten I can zip to my target with the shotlock trick this fight has been incredibly frustrating for me. I still think it's a bit overkill how difficult these fights are but I am willing to try again now.

Organization xiii is like Akatsuki from naruto. Master Xenahort is Pain, Xigbar is Tobi and the Master of masters is Madara.
This is probably one of the easier fights but it's a really fun one imo

igneous rock that’s definitely not it, even turned off the flow motion attack still goes through
Mr. Colpekker It's a flowmotion attack, I think it's sonic slash, personally I turn off every flowmotion combat ability other than buzz saw and that works pretty well
What ability combos do you use
Xigbar didn't use any blue shots for your fight, why is that?
Clarification: I was referring to unblockable blue shots.
Phase Skip. He sets up the battle so that Xigbar does the same thing every time and practices the route. You can use this to skip entire phases sometimes

It’s an ability called critical recharge.
It’s exclusive to Critical Mode and makes your gauge build a lot faster. And since the gauge builds super slow on crit it’s a godsend

Might be stupid but whats with using cure when not needed?? Is that a strat?
On Critical mode, you have an ability called "critical recharge" which allows you to build up situation commands (arrows) quicker if you are during an MP charge (easiest way to trigger that is using cure)

Its not that hard, if you practice and just learning the bosses stuff then its like playing it with them being lvl1 with how easy it is

The thing that annoys the most is that attack he does when he screams "Think fast!" Where he shoots the big blue arrows that go in random directions, I always get hit and fuck everything up 😭
P.S. I do try shotlocking but sadly I am not perfect and sometimes miss. It makes me want to retry the whole thing entirely 😤
