- A couple of people asked us to share how to meditate on the Rosary.
In this video we go very deep in making the Rosary come alive, and have GREAT meaning.
We give tips on how to use our imagination in the way God intended, rather than selling them out to the foibles of the evil one.

I pray the rosary every day. I have a lot of trouble concentrating. I have Parkinson's and dementia. Please pray for me so I could concentrate on the mysteries. Thank you.
Keep trying to pray the rosary as per normal, but now when you encounter difficulty or feel stress or frustration, dedicate that difficulty to God. The stress you feel is essentially a form of suffering, and so can be offerred up. Doing this might actually make your prayer more meritorious than it would be without the suffering. Suffering, if approached in the right way, can sanctify us.

I became Catholic at the age of 75. I am now 81. I do pray the rosary every day. Now you have given me a way to pray it more lovingly, gratefully and thankfully. I was missing so many of the graces of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Mary, mother of God. I thank you so much! I truly want to have a deeper devotion to the Blessed Mary. Hi Sisters!
I left the Catholic faith at age 14 (dropped out of Confirmation class) and at age 27 I am going through RCIA to complete the process. My husband has even decided to fully convert alongside me after experiencing his first mass this past March!
I wanted to share a miracle that has happened in my life. I was told in February of this year (2024) that I was not able to have children and my doctors were in the process of getting me set up to have a total hysterectomy at age 26. This is actually what brought me back in through those church doors.
I felt I wasn't ready to take Eucharist again until the weekend of May 25th, 2024. I had doctors appointments afterwards and was told there was no concern for pregnancy still and we had scheduled my surgery for July 12th. However, after coming home from Sunday mass June 30th I just felt that I had to be pregnant. I took a test... and it was positive! I couldn't believe it so I took another. That one was also positive.
That next Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024, it was discovered that not only was I pregnant: I was 7 weeks along. If you track 7 weeks back from that day where does that land us?
The week I took Eucharist for the first time in 12 years. While the medical team around me proclaimed it a medical miracle I truly believe that there was intercession involved as well. Only those who know the true meaning and power behind the Eucharist seem to understand me when I say that Jesus truly truly blessed me and my husband in what seemed impossible.
Praying the rosary has been very comforting for me throughout this time and now it just feels like despite feeling for 12 years I was lost I have now been found.

Yes, I have a “kitchen rosary” and use it while baking my bread for our Food Pantry.
I LOVE praying the rosary! Meditating on the holy mysteries brings me so much peace that I fall asleep!

I said this because each person's prayer is their intimacy with God. We are all so unique.
Now in my 60's and returning to the Church....the Rosary broke a decades long addiction that I couldn't shake. Nothing worked but praying the Rosary finally, I repeat finally, freed me from that slavery. Amen.
Me too. I had an addiction to pornography for DECADES...until I had an NDE that terrified me. My priest got me to do 2 things: begin professional counseling to understand the how any addition works, and to pray the rosary daily. It took me a few months to really get it to be a regular part, as I would do it for a few days, then slip a day, etc. Once I started seeing the effects, improvements that I could not attribute to anything else, I was hooked.
It has changed my life, and in many more ways than just the addiction.

I was blessed with an encounter with Jesus recently in a dream and the beauty extended into my day and during my rosary time. What a heavenly time it was too. I got a glimpse of the total and complete love of the heart of Jesus for us and was in complete adoration. He loves us so much it’s unbelievable.

I'm happy for you encountered Jesus our saviour. Continue seeking his strength and his face and the Joy of salvation. Believe or not you don't need praying with rosary. Jesus didn't teached about praying with rosary. There's no state rosary in the bible. He knows before you pray. Jesus is the only mediator. Jesus give you wisdom and knowledge and understanding. Remember how great you encountered Jesus in your life. Means you must accept Him as your saviour. Pray direct to Jesus ,pray without ceasing. That's what Jesus needed from you. Praying the rosary is asking for Mary's intercession. Ultimately, Jesus is the one who answers prayers. Just like when you ask someone to pray for you.
Mary is powerful because she is his mother. Just like in Cana, she asked Jesus to do something about the wine. He performed the miracle at her request! Hope this expl anation helps.
Also, the prayers are biblical and we meditate on the life of jesus!
If you have a loved one with anxiety and/or depression please pray a rosary to Our Lady of Sorrows for emotional and spiritual healing. Fr. Ripperger says she is very powerful. Ask her help through her own mystical agony and passion during the agony and passion of her Divine Son.

@terry9026 IT IS JESUS who is in the Holy Rosary, as where Jesus is his Mother is, even at the Cross, and where his Mother is Jesus is, which is why he gave her to us as Mother from the Cross. Mary strengthens Jesus' presence in us by saying in our hearts: "Do what he tells you to do", something that so few really and actually do these days.
Saying the Our Father and Hail Mary prayers very slowly with my eyes closed has helped me tremendously to meditate on the mysteries. Also in the Hail Mary, when you say the Holy name of Jesus, I pause and say something to remind me of the mystery: Hail Mary, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus, who was scourged at the pillar for us, Holy Mary, Mother of God.........

Don't give up and continue praying the rosary. Almost 2 yrs ago my son told me he no longer believed in God. I started praying every day and Glory to God he came back to Mass this past spring and last night attended the First Friday devotion. God is great! May our blessed Mother Mary stir a yearning in your daughters heart for peace in God 🙏

My teen daughter is struggling with depression and anger also. I also am praying the rosary, daily, for her and for my adult son who is struggling legally because of a poor choice. Jesus I trust in You.

I found that watching and praying along with youtube Holy Rosary with scripture, helped me tremendously . Now it is easy for me to meditate on the mysteries alone.

What's worked for me also is meditating on how I can submit my will to God (annunciation), how I can serve and love other people (visitation), what I can give up or what I can do do practice detachment (nativity), ask Mother Mary to present my sufferings, petitions, and thanksgiving to God (presentation at the temple), ask Mary to always lead me to Jesus, not to be separated from Him, realizing always that Jesus is truly present in the tabernacle. "Did you not know that I must be in my Father's house?" (finding Jesus).

I have just returned from a visit to the Sanctuary of Fatima.. and by the guidance of the Holy Spirit have been led to listen to this explanation on meditating on the Mysteries of the Rosary.. henceforth I know praying the Rosary will be more meaningful and grace-filled.

I recite the Gospel meditated Rosary for the past many years through a little booklet give to me by a friend, which is a calm, unhurried intently thoughtful way of praying which helps me to rest my mind on the mysteries of the life of Christ as if seen with the feelings of Mary who was the closest to the Lord.🙏❤️
I usually pray the 20 mysteries of the Holy Rosary during my 1.5 hours of driving every day using the scriptural Rosary through CZcams.

Please pray for my daughter coping with anxiety and depression. She no longer attends holy Mass. she was a cathequist, extreme eucharistic minister and lector. She doesnt socialize and separates herself from interacting with family who love her dearly. She works thank God but thats about it. I love her so much and feel guilty that maybe I didnt see her when she was a child and experiencing loneliness, abandonment and not understood by everyone. Shes a good woman and Im sure she loves us a lot but cant express it because of her pain. Please pray that she opens up to someone of faith and caring that can walk with her so she may heal. I cry frequently because its difficult to see her this way and being able to help her. I try to imitate Mother Mary in her silence and love her until shes ready to heal. She doesnt love herself. Mercy Lord 🙏🏼
I will be praying for you and your daughter. Being a parent is so very hard when our children are going through suffering. You are not alone in this. It happens to all parents, you would give anything to have them be healed and finally find peace. lovely to see nuns on youtube talking about the rosary. the first time I remember when I started to say it is in the bed and I remember this very clearly it was as if I was in a crowded room because I heard a group saying it with me and it stopped because I think they made the mistake of saying it with me well for me to hear them and that was my first experience of saying the rosary. I pray daily and try to do it when I wake up and I have 3 prayers along with the precious blood of Jesus that you will receive many graces if you say 2 our fathers, 2 hail marys and 2 glory bes for 3 years daily. My own 3 prayers I say in the morning is the Unity Prayer, St. Patricks breastplate and Angel prayer and the secret of prayer is to pray for others in the divine will "in the name of everyone". I watch the movie, Jesus of Nazareth over and over, and feel like I’m there. I’ve also been watching, Saint Bernadette of Lourdes, I love her so much. I love this so much! I’m starting RCIA this fall and I’ve been making rosaries for all of my future RCIA fellow students. I have been trying to say the rosary every night. Like you mentioned, the dryness, but I’m doing it and I’m hoping to deepen my faith through it and get more from it at time goes by. I really love the depth and beauty of the Catholic faith. I feel like I can never learn it all, which I kind of enjoy because I love learning. I have the rest of my life to keep learning and growing. ❤

The great St. Bernard, Doctor of the Church, gives us
the correct method of praying the Rosary and if adopted,
surprising results will follow.
He states in his writing on the subject:
"While your lips pronounce the words let your mind
'picture' the Mystery-not as an event
which took place centuries ago,
but as events taking place NOW in your presence.
In each mental picture thus formed, see also yourself
there in the scene, studying the scene."
St. Bernard warns us not to change the mental 'picture'
but let it remain unchanged. He states that if the 'picture' is recalled without change, it will become more lifelike.
During your course of coming to a deeper understanding
of The Rosary, a clearer mental picture of each Mystery
will be attained if only one meditation on a mystery
is studied each day.
Better effects may result, if someone would read aloud
each of the meditations on the different mysteries
while the others of the family listen.
After several weeks, the various members of the family
could take turns at reading the meditations so that
all may share alike the opportunity
to profit from the Scriptural promise:
"Faith comes through hearing."
We cannot come to KNOW the Rosary unless
WE PRAY THE ROSARY

I too include the Holy Souls. That is how they are released by GOD’s authority. I know you probably already do, but please pray for the Holy Father, the POPE. It can be confusing as there is so much controversy surrounding him, but we as Catholics know this is just part of it & our part is to pray for him. ✝️💟🛐

The most powerful moment I have ever had was contemplating and pretending I was sitting in the tomb with Jesus during the 3 days, before He rose again. With His slain human body. I was very afraid at first. I had a thought on my heart that many people would also be afraid of that moment and place, but I’d recommend it if you can be brave, it’s a place not many people want to be. It’s very quiet and special and intimate. Just to be clear, this is not a place I would ever choose to be or go mentally- I do not watch scary movies or horror and gore, I am scared of death and dead bodies. I am Jewish, I was raised Jewish, we do not even show bodies during funerals. It did feel that it came upon me, and I feel it helped me face my fear of death.
I have done the same but imagining myself in the Scourging, the crowing with Thorns and carrying the Cross as if I was looking through the eyes of Jesus. It is guaranteed to bring you to the realisation of how much he suffered for us. I couldn't stop the tears the first time I tried it. Even now as I type, just thinking on the experience is getting me emotional.
Before anyone walks away thinking its all uncomfortable, imagine yourself kneeling next to Mary at the Annunciation or with the Holy Family in the manger, are two of the most peaceful experiences you can have on a regular basis.
Edit- I was doing this without realising that St. John Paul 2, taught on this. I realise now how much grace I had been given.

Thanks sister for giving this teachings on how we can meditate when praying the rosary. Infact I always look too sad most especially when praying the sorrowful mystery Jesus carrying the cross, I see myself carrying the cross during my moments of unjustly persecutions by some family members.
In reaction to this odds my only consolation is to take up my rosary.
Sisters please pray for me to be more closer to our lady mother Mary as I fight this battle. Let the Holy Spirit take total control over my life.

I always incorporate myself into the scene as a passive observer and feel the emotion of the moment strongly. I struggle with focus, but I am getting better at that. The Rosary is life changing. Pray it every day for a month and meditate on it as best you can, and your life will transform. Pray it every day, without fail, make it part of your life, this would be the one piece of advice that I would give above all.

I LOVE ROSARY. My favourite Mistery Rosary is SORROWFUL, cause when I meditate on it, it shows me how big Jesus Loves for us ; giving HIMSELF to save us, He falls 3 times; HE didn't give up. On the Cross in agony HE ask HIS FATHER, our LORD to forgive us" FATHER forgive them for they didn't know what they are doing". And on HIS last breath He gives us the most precious gift, HIS BELOVED MOTHER MARY . " behold this is your MOTHER, WOMAN this is YOUR son. and still more to be discover on all the 20 decades. I pray the rosary every day, started over a year ago and love it. I like to find artwork that depicts each mystery and look at it during the decade I'm praying. I find my mind doesn't wander as much that way

When I get off track while praying the rosary, I will close my eyes and picture myself on my knees in the presence of Mary placing a rose at her feet while reciting. This typically gets my mind back on to the respective mystery. I’m not ashamed to say this happens quite often.

an interesting perspective... I always wondered at God's purpose for giving us an imagination capability.. it seems that the devil has had more control over this part of our minds.. yet here Catholics teach us how to use our imagination for God's glory and our edification! Thank you both Sisters. I’m committed to saying the rosary everyday. I do place myself there, but I always dread Tuesdays & Fridays due to the Sorrowful mysteries. I have a hard time getting to the Cross. It’s hard to make the journey up that hill. But how I get through it is reliving the scene from The Passion of Christ when Mary is following the crowd as JESUS was carrying the cross & her fierce gaze as satan was on the other side of the roadway & he knows she sees him. I am one of the women whose very being is sickened to be making that journey along with Jesus & I’m aware that satan knows I see him too. But it is so difficult to get through the nailing. JESUS, have mercy on us all. I love YOU JESUS . And I love you Sisters❤️. GOD BLESS YOUR MINISTRY ✝️💟🛐
