Your Arbor looks great and very solid as well, i was wondering if the dowels made any difference to the build, as when you were screwing it all together it looked a better fit, if that was due to the dowels, screws or both.

A great question - I think in reality they were strong enough as I didn't add screws till later and I could carry the pieces around no problem before it, but I'd probably recommend using two instead of one next time. However, this thing was just damn hard to clamp - to your point - the screws really helped bring it all together. If you didn't need to break it down at all, you could countersink screws and plug with dowels to make it look perfectly clean. Cheers!

Beautiful job! How did u assemble so easy onsite? That's my worry and easiest way to transport.
Everything already fit together with the dowels, so the three components came together as a dry fit super easily and then I just brought my impact driver to my venue to screw and unscrew the wood screws in each joint. I’ll add, you don’t even need dowels at joints if you’re using screws, it just helped line things up.

Nice! At 1:25 you said that you wished that you had kept the saw perpendicular to the cutting surface of and just angled it. What do you mean by that?
Good question - I meant I should have rotated the miter saw blade left to right but keep it perpendicular to the wood, rather than using the back miter bevel to create the angle and cut them down at an angle. Hope that makes sense?

They’re just 4x4s that are 8’ long from Home Depot
What brand dowling jig did you use?
It's the 1/2" jig from Rockler - I think it's like $20 and another small amount for the case (you can get a whole set as well which is a bit more pricey but still a great deal).

You mean like when I very clearly explain at the 1:08 mark that I cut angles at 25.7 degrees?
