    Follow me Nerds, as I show you how I built this beautiful arch/arbor for our wedding. Arbors/arches are commonly used in gardens, and in backyard decorations as well. After our wedding I'm going to hold onto this one and rent it out as a way to make more money with my wood working.

    Wood:
    (2) - 2x10's @ 8' long (my big box store only had useable lumber in 10' lengths so I cut 2' of imperfections off the ends - as seen in the video)
    (8) - 2x4's @ 8' long
    CUTS:
    *ALL BOARDS WERE RIPPED 3/16" ON EACH SIDE TO REMOVE THE ROUNDED EDGES*
    (4) 2x4 - Horizontal Frame Support (rungs?): Cut @ 30"
    (8) 2x4 - Corner Braces: Cut @ 1' at 45 degreed (on long side)

    My daughter and her boyfriend want to have an outdoor wedding. This would be perfect, and would look great in my backyard after! 😉😅 Love that all your projects are 'user friendly' and you explain things so well for those of us that don't know exactly what we are doing!

      It would make an excellent addition to any backyard! Im glad you’re finding them helpful! If you decide to build it and have any questions please let me know, I’d be happy to help!

    Ahh, Wood Nerds. I binge watched all your videos a few months ago but forgot to subscribe, then the other day I kept looking for "Wood Friends", "Wood Bros" et cetera but couldn't find you. Luckily this popped up in suggestions. Subscribed now.

    Did you get 4 sets of the sheets or were you able to cut & divide?

    • @WoodNerds
      @WoodNerds  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey Cindy! We ordered 4 sets. I’m not the best with cloth but I bet you could divide if you could manage the frayed edges. Don’t quote me on that though, you might want to order a set before to make sure it’s what you want.

    Hey man, I came across this video when trying to get ideas on how to build my son's wedding arbor. I've since watched some of your other videos, but I think this is the coolest intro that I've come across. I just recently started a channel and would love to fashion my intro like yours. Would you mind telling me how you pulled it off? What editing software did you use and what this effect called? And the song? Thanks

    • @WoodNerds
      @WoodNerds  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey! Thanks, I appreciate it! Of course. I use adobe software for my editing platform. You can get their bundle which has a bunch of creative tools. As for the music, I also pay for a service that has a bunch of copyright music they will license to you for the monthly fee. The effects are just camera related techniques, not so much effects that I applied. Took me over a year to get good at it, while researching how to do it better each time.

  • @michaelleas
    @michaelleas Před 2 lety +1

    Hey man, looks like it's been about a year or so since this video. Have you been renting it out? If so, how has that process been? I'm thinking of building one to rent out as well. Thanks man!

    • @WoodNerds
      @WoodNerds  Před 2 lety +3

      Hey Mike! I actually sold it! It was taking up too much room in my garage unfortunately haha. But these are popular! Even more popular and a great investment are big words like “love” that have lights in the center! Wedding parties will pay good money to rent them. You could also offer to sell them to wedding venues!
