at least it doesn't lock a vehicle behind grinding for 3+weeks straight, and only gives you cosmetics. That imo is fine as I don't have to bother with playing for the sake of grinding and not for fun
They added Crossout in WT

the wheel destroyed is really cool feature , it gonna be a nightmare for every LAV enjoyer in the future for sure
the least they could do is put it at 9.7 where it belongs and give the stryker its proper reload of 6.5s and its missing 3 degrees of gun depression over the sides. Certain wheeled vehicles are already at enough of a disadvantage, the least they could do is start correcting them before they make them suffer more with wheels that go flying off. Then there are other vehicles that actually deserve this kind of nerf.
The thing i really like from the event is what seems to be forced "view from gunner sight" in a mostly Realistic battles mode. I think realistic battles should have the gun view be forced from the actual gunners sight and not the barrel.
Wheels have always been destructible. Losing 1-2 wheels almost completely hinders mobility
@@fire_drake12.arc.24 seems like a skill issue if you suffer with the sryker or the radkampfwagen. they are decent. just dont get hit.
Losing one wheel already makes driving sht before. You can have 8 wheels and lose one, then your light tank suddenly drives like it's missing all its wheels on an entire side

Welp the dust storm and new damaged/destroyed wheel mechanics are my bet in the new things to come to teh game.
There are some new sights as well.
Also everyone forced to use gunner sights in realistic would be ok for the main game imo

They do a Mad Max game mode where collisions still deal zero damage.

Gaijin pushed the "painful gameplay" to another level with this one

Nuclear Submarine event where you either die, or the cap gets rushed and the game ends before you can even launch a torpedo. THAT one is worse.
@@MadelineOgLeg this is so bad, as if spawn camping wasn't bad enough they made the exits in the same places and so people just camp those, so fun!
They literally copy-pasted Crossout into War Thunder - so absolutely yes. Crossout is literally the worst grind based p2w game I have ever played, and this event is giving me PTSD.

It takes 1-2 hours for 3 vehicles
@@RustyBear My daily dose of War Thunder can be measured in 2-3 battles in ground RB. It's not even a hour. I have better things to do than grinding pointless event just to get some loading screens or titles.

One thing to be aware: if you want to grind loot play teams. If you want the tokens go to free for all. I found teams to be really boring and free for all was where the fun was. There’s so much more action and interesting moments than in teams.
grinding in team games is worse because not only you have double the players in the map, half of them are your allies and if they get something you can't destroy them and get it

Not to mention people camp extraction sites more in team battles since they care more about kills than loot. In free for all people are more concerned with loot so it is more fun than team battles.
Finally, now I can grind without fighting enemy tanks and achieving new vehicles!!!

I reinstalled for April Fools and this event was so bad I uninstalled. I'll just enjoy WT through Malzi vids as usual.

What ruined the event for me is the rage points. Because it encourages camping the exits.
nope, people do that to get materials, you get more rage points getting the radar modification and going for corpses or trying to kill someone with 5 points because they are always spotted and getting close to their destroyed vehicles gives you 5 points
Then you upgrade all vehicles - "You still don't seem to understand. It wasn't me who was locked up with you, it was you who were locked up with me." And then you have marker all start hunting, but you are bait 😂
My thoughts? Maybe this is testing for new wheeled vehicle physics, new larger maps with different objectives or the addition of missions (one id like to see is a “protect the convoy” mission, and im sure theres other stuff like maybe different weather based on your map, like how in the mad thunder event, theres the sandstorm

I feel like Gaijin's missing the point of april fools... The event needs to be a break from the monotony of gameplay, not give us more grind than we already have
That's not how Gaijin has done April fools events, they've always done them in the past like this to test different mechanics that have potential of being added to the game, like for this it seems dynamic weather and wheels being blown off

Destructible wheels, functioning flags, severe weather conditions, new gunner sights, things I expect to see implemented into the core game in the next 2-3 patches.

If you spawn at the top spawn you get the bottom escape point. If you spawn at bottom you get too escape point. For me, too escape point sucks to go to because it’s a huge pvp area.
War thunder became crossout enemys
to be honest maybe the map seems like an experimental design for a new dessert map, imagine a regular war thunder Rank 3 game on the mad thunder map... One can dream of open decent map design but i dont expect Gaijin to come up with anything good for the playerbase to be honest.

this is the first time i was genuinely puzled by the april fools event cause wtf is this suppose to be? the crafting system is still overly complicated, the gameplay is weird, and overall i'm not even interested to play it after the first time
i genuinely think their original vision was for everyone to fight at high speed and race around but since the vehicles are so squishy and unstable everyone just get stuck in a quagmire every time theres a contact with the enemy

They should make it have a mode where you escorting an oil convoy while enemy team keep attacking you with light vehicles only, that would be fucking fun describe it's mad max update
This gamemode absolutely sucks so much its unbelievable. Players just camping exits because the exits are horribly placed, overpowered vehicles, enemies just spawning right behind you and so on. Absolute worst event they made so far.

I'd try it, but my GPU recently said that it wasn't a fan of its fan, and my desk fan isn't enough to compensate for War Thunder demands...

Gosh running with full parts to the evac zone makes me sweat harder than normal.
Nothing will beat the sub event imo. I wish there was a way to go back and play those events again with players again. This event was underwhelming with how much grind you have to do, but the new optics and mechanics are going to be very interesting considering my favorite vehicle is the Centuaro I 120.

I really don't like extraction shooters and this makes me feel no different. My first April 1st event was the future tanks one and it just seems like they got worse from that point on. Plus this event has crafting again, sooo I don't like it. The only good thing is that you don't have to grind points every 2 days, thats a big plus.
