League of legends coaching, league coach, mid lane coach - Hry
Coach has made my life better in game and out
true lol
this is so true, he has made league into a tool to navigate real life
Hi Curtis! Thanks for the video. Just wanted to recommend taking a look at the academic paper of psychologists Strack & Deutsch (2004) on the Reflexive Impulsive Model. It essentially describes the psychological mechanism that you describe as intuïtive (impulsive) vs. intellectual (reflexive) gameplay. And yes, almost 95% of all human behavior is fueled by the impulsive system and only 5% by the reflexive system. Should apply to league as well :).
Wow didn't even know that!
This is one off ur best videos to this date.
The time spend on this must’ve been crazy high.
The editing, the wording, the explaining etc etc.
Keep up the good work coach.
I love every bit and I love seeing you develop as a content creator , coach and rolemodel.
Thanks man
I know it's his office space or whatever but I'd like to think with the human anatomy charts on the wall behind him that he's actually just waiting at a doctor's appointment and just being efficient with his time. Like, he drags his youtube button around and is always ready at a moment's notice to make content where ever he is able to squeeze in some free time to record.
Respect the imagination you have haha
13:03 when talking about ego t1 is a big reference XD, I love how every clip is just t1 trolling/inting
I definitely don't play enough games consistently. I'll play ranked for like 2 weeks, get frustrated, only play normals for 2 months, and repeat. I went from silver 2 to plat 4 in season 12. I'm proud of my improvement over the year, but I think I could have gotten even better if I didn't let myself get so frustrated with the game at times.
i've seen one of ur videos randomly and since then i subscribed and followed u , i really like the way u describe situations plus the editing plus the way u speak is very detailed and clear , i'd really wish to meet u or talk to u in a call one day just to appreciate your great work and effort for making this free guide videos , great great work Mr Curtis and am looking forward to see many many many more guides ^^
Wow this was the help I was looking for! You're actually showing how to coach yourself unlike most other 'guides' giving very short sighted and mostly niche advise that's always changing. This is the first video of yours I've seen and you've earned an easy sub
What helped me a bit in reviewing games, is especially looking at players I was mad at for sucking ingame. Often I realize that they actually did a decent job for wile until something went wrong. Overall their performance was nowhere near as bad as I thought, but ingame I only notice "player has been slain".
As a plat player looking at some of my teammates play makes me want to peel my skin off
@@L9nexah Yes, that may be the case too, but the point being that unless you have watched them, dont assume every death is because of stupidity.
As someone who has watched every single BBC episode it's nice to see all those thoughts come into an organized video for everyone to watch and learn. Also I have to say this; I laughed out loud at T1 minion block shenanigans, lol
Really appreciate the time and effort you put into your vids!
Personally LOVE how detailed they are, Keep up the awesome work!
I love how philosophical your answers are but how you also add real efficient ways to improve
thank you for the content coach!
Great video, also the change in graphics is a huge improvement!
great video Curtis, love it. now striving to be a soloQ goblin redditor. I also loved your choice of clips, very subtle :D
Thanks for being the best league of legends content creator out there coach! I really appreciate listening to you with a hot black milk tea in the morning! Make's my day
Honestly this is straight up just good life advice
Before finishing the video, I’d say akali is a assassin with low dps, it’s best for her to hover the jungle get vision and try to hold the choke points and not let them enter the baron fight for free.
Yes! Coach Curtis has returned! I'm going to respond with my reaction to various points in the video.
[03:05] That was nice transition. That will get a subscriber out of me. I liked how casually you were trying to segway into more of your content.
[07:02-07:15] I bet that Intuitive Timmy was able to *wish* his way to Diamond. He sure is the Gretest to do so, in such a case. 😁
[08:30] I'm a SoloQ Goblin who enjoys watching LoL Content. As someone who had *2000 games* in Silver, I can pilot Lucian and Ezreal quite well. However, I fall into the trap of not really wanting to review games because I think I know what XXX Challenger Lucian/Ezreal/Kalista would have done to outplay that 2v2/3. However, I'm focused more on lane phase, since I know I can make up for my poorer Midgame if I come out of lane phase +2-3 Kills.
[16:51] The point here is very transferrable to Bot Lane. When I'm into Seraphine/Senna, I know that their main play is Senna Q into Seraphine B(E)at Drop Recast. If they land that, I probably die. However, when I play into them with Kalista/Nautilus, I want Nautilus Q into Kalista AAQE. The ability to think as your opponent allows you to anticipate the best time for them to use their abilities and then win the lane!
Awesome content!
Coach Curtis saying "Sticky very quickly" is insane
You should read “thinking fast and slow” by Kahneman which focuses on the differences between intuition/fast thinking and slow thinking. That guy won a Nobel prize for the research in that book
thank you
Colin and coach curtis in 1 video, wat a treat
+1 for roasting NA, Coach
I watch all your videos and I can tell this one is byfar your best. Great job on this one curtis!
The legendary coach with some fresh knowledge
Colin Galen's video actually appeared on my recommended feed a while ago, so when I saw this video of yours with the exact same title, I was like "Whaaa-?"
Keymoment :
6:23
9:00
Step 1: Play Game
Step 2: Go to moments in the review that you FELT something was off
Step 3: Break down WHY that play felt the way it did
a) What actually happened here?
b) Was my feeling correct / justified?
c) How should I be interpreting this situation and why?
Banger!
I like your style
Hello Curtis, I recently watched your videos on VOD reviewing and I was wondering whether you would be able to either give me your quick thoughts in a reply or make some kind of explanation as to how to review when you play with a team. Me and my friends are trying to get better at the game and I noticed that all the LoL related vod review analysis on yt is mainly solo q focused, so I was wondering whether you have some advice on how to effectively review and not get stuck on petty arguments and micro stuff, and then how to actually apply this especially if different people need to work on different stuff? thanks for the great content regardless!
These dynamic videos are great, but it's just a little strange to me to swap that fast the pace of your videos XD
4:08 nowhere is safe lmao
Hey Curtis, the yone guide when you'll be uploading it?
6:50 or you do plays that work although you dont know why it works *shows footage of irelia doing irelia things*
If slow Baron, I'd say turn if it baron HP is above 2k hp when they come. Finish if below 2k hp.
If we have high dps the number can go up a lot. Just depends on... every factor, lmao!
Hey curtis great video. As a top main and mid secondary. My top is masters and my mid feels like a low diamond player. I don't know how to approach mid lane because it is so different than top but I cannot secondary jungle because I will get too many jungle games. What should I do to play mid lane better other than just maining mid. I feel like i just play mid like I play top. I even play the same champs. How can I get over the top lane playstyle in the mid lane?
i watch league content, solo queue alot, review my games, look at subreddits, and i have over 1million champion mastery and im still in gold
Intuition is like a violin, it is beautiful when well tuned but can sound like a screech when not.
I don't even want to climb the ladder, don't even think I care much for ranked as a whole.
I just want to not be a burden to my team and friends in draft, and actually do well for once (something I can count on my fingers how many times it's happened).
Maybe it doesn't help that I'm often playing with someone who I can _also_ count on my fingers how many times they _haven't_ gotten an S rank. Maybe I'm getting matched up against people who are just too good for me because of it. But man, feeling like your team would be better of if the game was a 4v4 and you weren't there kinda hurts.
I hope I will improve enough to be good enough soon. I will at least try.
As a person who has a 9-5 job and is new to league and wants to play rank how many games a day should i play?
11:40 the biggest mistake you made was turning on your brain when playing Yone. Never do that.
Coach Curtis based for roasting NA.
I want like to have a coaching by you, sadly my english isnt that nice so a session wouldnt be efficient enought for me.
aint no way im now gonna turn myself into soloq goblin redditor 😭
How to play like Dopa? But top. Can u explain why he is the best player on league? Thank u for ur work. Keep UP!! AAAND PLEASE GUIDE RIVEN TOP!!!!
when is the yone guide coming out?
VERY soon!
Wait sorry for making another recommendation but do you know HealthyGamerGG? It's a psychiatrist who streams on Twitch and talks a lot about mental health, especially as it relates to gaming. I don't know if he ever played League but he definitely recognizes those mentalities that you describe
soooo collab? :D
Do you know the website called Biddy Tarot? You and Bridget have Similar Energy and I don't know if this is like a thing where all aussies have so much insight and are connected to their intuition??? or like? if this is just the youtube algorithm feeding me more content that talks about things I like
oh wait this also sounds like my therapist talking about how my avoidance in response to feeling anxious just further reinforces my anxiety xd
Where's your office? It looks like my university
Thanks Coach, now I'm a reddit goblin
Hey curtis . I wish u can help me with this question .
At the moment im Challenger in eune low Challenger
I consider myself as a mechanic player
But the main question is
How i can get to rank 1
Im 23 and my passion my dream is to go pro and playing in teams with max performance
And sometimes im thinking i need like 1 or 2 years to make that happen when im getting old
So idk , so how i can get rank 1
Everyday i watching alot of videos to improve my self to maximum
And really can't find the answer
Go to euw for better practice
Still waiting for the 3h items video :(
If you hear something like broken glass, it's my little tiny fragile heart
Soloq goblin redditor got me haha
TOP G
oh god i was not expecting to be called out as a reddit lover here. i havent touched summoners rift in like 2 yrs, i just like consuming league content lmfao
I'm iron and my skills match that of wood, ie slow movement, very predictable, and bad mouse control, if your felling down for being sliver or higher believe me you got a huge advantage
Go play against bots in custom games until you get 1 kill per minute and max 1 death per ten minutes. Stop playing against humans until you can smash bots.
@@JonathanSaxon thanks I'll do that
@@MikeJoesphWright Once you've done that, go play normal games until you are solid on your champions. If you do this, you will get out of iron.
@@JonathanSaxon where dose it show kpm...it shows kda lks lmk ccs
@@MikeJoesphWright if you go into match history and “overview”, you can check the kills and deaths in the game and when they happened.
fk i'm a soloq goblin whos been hardstuck for 3 years
Intuition is essentially auto-piloting?
Love you curtis
so the Real chads are goblin with reddit app :D
so I am a reddit lover without using much reddit (platform not popular here in asia)
I legit feel like im both to the extreme lmao
Very hard to awnser the first 3 questions without knowing the enemy team comp, who's ahead and who's behind as well as the state of top wave since camera is hiding it
