He is monster in classical. His weakness is blitz and bullet. He can definitely win if the deciding match is classical
That means he needs to win tmrw so he can avoid tie braker
Nepo and Fabi draws.
Hikaru and Gukesh draws.
I think Gukesh wins if he draws.
He can improve on it later on in his career considering his age
@@IndiaTides a draw does not work for either fabi or nepo because nomatter how the game of gukesh and hikaru goes one of them will have atleast 9 points so they will both play for a win, i think a draw would be very rare
Fabi is going to overpress and lose.
So inspiring to witness a 17 year old achieve this much success. Good for him!
How long he will remain 17 yrs😂😂

I really love this guy's temperament..... crazy maturity for 17.
What a humble King
After the amount of sacrifices to get there he surely will be humble and remember that his dream of world champion is still far away .he said that he wont celebrate until he achieves his goal
gukesh casually calling rest of the players old .
Certainly this Candidates has been one of the best ones in years. Old and new generations clashing, just amazing chess. Great win for Gukesh, India must feel really proud. Even though I’m rooting for Hikaru, it feels right that this humble of a player has had an awesome tournament!
Caruana, Hikaru are legends of the game...cheers from India..
Nepo too@@truth6Seeker
May the best player win 🏆
It's not over yet. Anything can happen in the last round. Chess is brutal.
@@Suvedhanapandi So true. I am nervous for that.
We are entering Gukesh era
I still got a soft spot for Fabi, but if ain't him, bring it on! Maybe Magnus will come back for Gukesh
Bro why you guys keep on yapping about Magnus coming back for anyone?
Magnus got nothing to prove against anyone. He can smoke anyone.
He defeated vishy, kasparov, hikaru etc etc. @@shawnmand5607
@@shawnmand5607 Yeah sure ! I think he will come back for naka as well
We already are .
Nodirbek might have something to say about that
Magnus : Gukesh will do poorly
Gukesh :
Slightly misrepresenting what he said but ok
@@NotQuiteFirst Magnus had kept Vidit and Gukesh in same category and Alireza and Pragg in same,
He was wrong about Gukesh and Alireza, rest predictions are ok.
@@NotQuiteFirsthe literally put him in the "WILL DO POORLY" tier, he said he can't imagine Gukesh winning and estimated he will end up with a score somewhere between +2 and -5.
i understand being Carlsen's fan, but when he's wrong, he's wrong, there's no point in bending over backwards to deny it.
@@vibovitold Chill bro. I only said "slightly" misrepresented. He had to choose one category to make a prediction, and chose "will do poorly", but what he actually said was that Gukesh is an unpredictable player who could have a great tournament or a bad tournament, in contrast to Fabi/Nepo who will predictably finish near the top, or Abasov who will finish at the bottom. I was saying it's a slight misrepresentation to make it sound like Magnus was trashing Gukesh.
@@vibovitold the only reason Magnus put him on the "WILL DO POORLY" list was lack of experience. Magnus can't do anything about the tier list. This year's candidates 2024 is unpredictable and lots of surprises what can you expect?
I guess it's bad to have opinions and predictions now.
I'm rooting for gukesh too, so when u root on something, nothing else matters.
I wish Gukesh should win last round and create History
"should" implies you are fairly sure, and "wish" implies you are hoping. So they can't both be in this sentence together.
Gukesh go create history.
Yaaaaaaah...... Go gukesh 💯🐐
17 with such wisdom, humility and maturity.
He seems like a nice, humble and soft spoken guy. good luck gukesh !
You can tell by the way he handles these press conferences that Gukesh is more ready than anyone else to win it all, not just this candidates, but the world championship match too.
Cool calm composed.... Absolute Champion mindset 🙌
Congrats Gukesh! Rooting for you to win. Good luck 🙂

What a gem..
I’d love to see him create HISTORY!!!🤞🏽🤞🏽
Such a mature player. Love his attitude. Good on him!
I love this guy, so calm and inspiring..
Gran humildad de Gukesh. Felicitaciones, es el campeón que le hace falta al ajedrez hoy, Renovacion. Gracias Gukesh. Suerte mañana !
He has all the ingredients of a world champ, best wishes Gukesh 👏👏
Gukesh has a really great personality. I'd love to see Nepo or Gukesh win it.
Gukesh youngest player looks like he's 32 while praga looks like 16
You can go 5 year back he looks like 5 when he was 10, Puberty hit him hard.
It's because of the beard
Well , Pragg is close to 16…
he doesn't look 30, not even close. Yes he has a thick beard for his age but his other features look young. He could MAYBE pass for 22
@@michaelblankenau6598 No pragg is older than gukesh and close to 19 now

After such tragic loss against Firouja in the first round, he bounced back like a champion he is.
If he had won that ( which he was close to winning) he would have sealed the championship
@@Imcrazyfornaruto yess bro but there were also more similar moments like Vidit vs Ian... where Vidit was so close to winning if he had won then Ian would have been out from the race to first...
Yeah and if Alireza won all of he's games he would win the tournament same goes for Abasov.
@@kahvaimuri2824😂
@@kahvaimuri2824 But the thing he is wasn't winning any of his games. You don't get the point.
Such poise and a full beard at 17! Been cheering for him since the opening round.
I had all these in 16 years old and I hated it because no one in my class has it. I hated it to a point of burning my beard with candle flame. But eventually when I became more dense then I did my first trimm and thought that I have to accept it. Now I am 18 and I have to trimm beards every 15-20 days but still I have not trimm my underarms hair even once till now as they are small. So I think my beards came very early.
@@marz6526 cool beanz bro
its normal to have full beard in india @ 16. many of my classmates did just genes and hormones
Gukesh Era Loading . God Bless & Good Luck for the future
Best/dream scenarios for chess in the next few years
1. Gukesh wins championship and becomes the youngest World Champion ever!
2. Magnus joins the candidates.
3. Magnus vs. Gukesh for the strongest chess player
If Gukesh wins and later becomes WC. Then would be nice to see his friend Pragg vs Gukesh WC match.
Magnus is greatest of all time.
Do you know what that means?
Magnus smoked vishy hikaru Nepo etc etc.
So What do u mean "strongest chess player"?
@@Docta123 "all time" should include Gukesh's generation, right? There is no conflict here.
@@Docta123Indians invented chess. They have such a large brain that they create the game and mastered it. Therefore the greatest of all time can never be Magnus. It is the Indians that created Chess. And now they are winning again and will dominate along with the Chinese.

Yeah Bro. But it happens. It's the way it is.
Ifs, buts and maybes.
@@kahvaimuri2824saying this cuz he just lost on time, he had winning position.
I got scared coz during their last encounter also similar situation was there where gukesh was slightly better and also ahead of alireza in time but he had a good hold on his nerve this time.
He literally saw the lines analyzed during the commentary. He's been so sharp!
Intense final round coming up..gukesh vs hikaru and nepo vs fabi
I like Gukesh confidence. Engine said that move 40 was equal, but Gukesh said that he thought he is clearly better.
because he liked his position
A beast 🔥 yet so humble. Gukesh will be an icon for generations to come just as Anand was 💯💯
Man was born with class of 2 people.
Gukesh please consider talking to hikaru's kryptonite to win round 14, if needed but ik u can handle it on ur own. I want levy's next video title to be GUKESH!!!!
No , let him play his style other he could mess up everything
Gukesh is shining star!!
I love how people take it as a fact that whomever wins the candidates will become WC 😅, imagine Ding managed to defend his title against whomever wins, surely people will stop talking trash about him then.
Yeahh anything can happen in that championship game , but everyone is considering his current form which is not upto the mark .. Ding has been beaten badly in last few tournaments almost by everyone , they say he is the weakest chess champion rn
@@Nobody-xe7siyes but in wc he will be prepared. We have seen how he kicked nepo's ass in the world championship when Nepo was taking him lightly.
Still reaching wc means you are 2nd best in the world for that time.
Yeah, I think Ding would have some psychological edge over every challenger, perhaps except for Caruana.
@@marz6526 No it doesn't
I hope that Gukesh wins the 14th round and makes history.
Even if he draws (and someone catches up with him by winning in the last round), he can still win the tournament on tiebreaks.

Why this jealousy towards Gukesh?

Gukesh going for draw tomorrow while Hikaru for a win, Hikaru will make mistakes taking risks, there is a good chance Gukesh would win tomorrow.

Great idea!
Come on guki lets get this today. Just want see you as next world champion.
Hope Gukesh wins tomorrow. It would be refreshing to see him challenging Ding Liren.
I still think Nepo deserves another shot. Gukesh is half his age, he would still get plenty of chances, for Nepo it's probably the last one. I've got nothing against Gukesh as a player
gukesh will analyse every move of hikaru no matter what he will go hard on hikaru and hikaru too will go straight hard on gukesh this final will be so so interesting i hope the best wins 🤞 but i want gukesh to achieve his dream of being youngest champion
Yes, just before time control, as Mr. Sagar said, engine says position is equal. Mr. Sagar has asked a pertinent question indeed!!
Go Guki!
Nepo vs Caruana will be insane, they have to win if they want a chance.
Even hiki vs gukesh would be insane. Hiki needs to win for a chance to win
@@neerajnongmaithem392 Yeah, I was thinking on the possibility that Gukesh could chose to play for a boring draw but I guess that's not all that likely.
Gukesh Dommaraju just 17 years old from India is leading the candidates where some of the best players in the world compete. Ngl I dont think most of the people had any expectations from him even from most Indians(sorry to say, almost 90% were rooting for Pragg). But he played with extreme determination remaining calm and composed even in difficult positions. Even if he doesnot quality I dont care. He just showed that he isnt someone that should be taken lightly. Epic. Dude is the monster. Give your all Gukesh for tommorrow❤❤
8:30 ये तो अपना आदमी हैं भैया इधर कहां 😂
I was rooting for Hikaru at the beginning of the tournament. But now I hope Gukesh wins.
Just goes to show how hard the moves were for Firouzja. Even Gukesh didn't believe in Knighte6, the only saving move for black
Gukesh has a good chance to win. His best opportunity is to knock out Nakamura tomorrow and he is the winner. Gukesh is an excellent player but he doesn’t need to get in a position where he’s having to play blitz or any fast time controls. That is his weakness. If he wins tomorrow…then he is one step away from the crown👑 . Congratulations to Gukesh and the Indian fans! 🇮🇳 I will be cheering for Nakamura, but if Gukesh wins, I will be equally happy for him and the Indian people 👍🏻. He has played exceptionally well and has shown himself to be a formidable opponent.
Would be fun to see gukesh vs ding in a world final
Gukesh is the Luke Littler of Chess... Someone should get the pair of them together for a magazine feature or something. Photos of them playing darts and chess together. They're the next gen World Champs!
It's about time India gets a new world champion 🏆
Exciting game tomorrow as Hikaru and Guki would go for a win at any cost... Guki i would not want to play the shorter versions in the tiebreaks

Hikaru must adventure against Gukesh whom to many is the classval format specialist
World Champion loading😮 7:47
Fabi & Nepo would know if anyone has to have a realistic chance then 1 point is must. The game is definitely going to be decisive.
Gukesh OTOH will be wary of overpushing against Naka. Naka however will definitely push with white & that may give Gukesh some chance of winning entire 1 point instead of just 0.5
We are heading towards two way tie break between Gukesh & Fabi/Nepo. Fabi/Nepo would be favourite to win Candidates in case of TB.
