When I first saw the new M2 it was like an M2 you'd order off Wish. but it's growing on me. Couldn't get this colour though, it would clash with my Kona N!
Nice review mate I'm trying to convince myself on the new design The hardest part to get over is the lego block rear bumper Hopefully someone comes out with a smoother aftermarket one Black hides the body well so I'd pick that or red
If you move the seat further to the front you will likely have a better actuation of the clutch and avoid the bump on the seat that hurts your leg. Another bad habit is to have the hand always on the gear shifter.
'Best' is a none measureable thing. I quite like it, it's only the front lights which I think are too small, and pushed too far to the edge of the corners. The larger, swept up lights of the OG M2 are more attractive to my eyes. It's a brilliant car, better in every way than the previous F87, but it's not as pretty. This light blue just screams Hyundai i20n/i30n to me. I personally think the F87 is the best looking M car ever made. Out of my price range, so I will have to stay with my OG M2 🙂 and I don't really feel too hard done by.
@DjNikGnashers Best is also a personal preference too, as we all like something different. The styling is something that always divides opinions on this new model, but certain colours like black are good at hiding it. The light blue does look a bit Hyundai, but works really well with the gloss black wheels. You're definitely not missing out with your M2, still an awesome car!
Well, the fact is, this is the trend going forward across the board, and can’t be stopped no matter how we feel about it. Thus it’s pointless to think about what may happen in future, instead of enjoying what’s available today.
Good review- l am enjoying mine, exactly the same spec - tried the auto which is perfect but really enjoy and prefer the connection to the car with the manual box - daily driving fine , the brake hold makes it always easy in stop start traffic - even on a steep incline. Got a good method of exiting the carbon seats so now that that is mastered - the carbon seats makes every drive special. Have the seat position closer than normal to negate the central carbon seat knob issues. Fabulous !!
@andrewprice9444 Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Glad you love your car, they are an awesome bit of kit! The carbon seats are nice, but I couldn't live with them every day myself.
Booked one for a test drive. I like the looks and the one i checked over was in red which was also a nice colour. The carbon seats are good looking but awful to get in and out of and the insert in the middle was pinching my thighs. Not comfortable, Standard seats much better. Not sure to go manual or auto. Start from £65k in the uk.

@ArtVandelayOfficial I wasn't convinced by the rear styling when I first saw it either. I've seen a couple in black and it does hide it a bit.
An absolute perfect car from every aspect of performance, technology, and daily drivability.
@arymonem It's certainly one of the best all round cars you can buy these days!

@jorgemtds I did try that which did help a bit, but it was still uncomfortable.

The trouble with having screens and i-drive instead of an instrument cluster is after a few years they age very badly
@ArtVandelayOfficial And expensive to replace if they go wrong!!

Well to be fair the engines don't last very long either

Did you happen to take a dB reading of the cabin noise?
I was shocked when Harrys Garage got almost 80dB in the 992 series 911!
@ArtVandelayOfficial No, I haven't got a device to do that. I know you can get an app for your phone, but not sure how accurate they are.

@edwardvickers5506 I haven't seen one in red but I bet it looks pretty good. I'd deinitely go for the standard seats too. I'd go for the auto myself.
Top car ❤
@user-bk4vl1ur5f I think so too
