  • MotoMan heads to South Florida for experiment: What’s it like to live with a 453 HP ‪@BMWM‬2? To answer the question, he drives an 8 speed automatic equipped G87 ‪@BMW‬ M2 around the #Miami area, across the state and comes away with the realities of living with a smaller performance M car, including insight on everything from fuel economy, cost of maintenance and even reliability . . . A far more in depth look at the M2 than we have ever presented over the car’s two generations.

I’ve been daily driving my 2023 M2 (6 speed) for over 3 month now, with 4600 miles so far, and I can honestly say that the experience has been nothing short of amazing. It’s very practical, comfortable, easy to drive, not too big or small, sporty, and most importantly the fun factor is top notch. Couldn’t do everything with a 2 seater ( e.g. cayman, Supra, 400z), and wouldn’t be as sporty in a bigger 4 door sports car ( e.g. M3, etc..). Great video btw!

Owning a BMW for 71K miles as of now, i have no doubts about the reliability of BMW. it has been to garage less than my newer RAV4.

  • @The_Stanman

To clarify - M2 comes with LED headlights. The option is for "adaptive" ones that turn with the steering wheel + auto high beams.

    87 octane gas?

Man, filling the M2 with 87 octane gas is really bothering me. On my M2 Comp the minimum is 91 and recommended is 93. I can't imagine it being lower on the G87 M2.

What a great way to start my Saturday morning! Another great video from MM! This is the best video on the new M2! Great points made by MM. Agree on all points! This is BMW’s best quasi sports car today (ever?) no question about it. No car is perfect. The new M2 is a bit porky, and I hate the ridiculous electronic HVAC/gauges! That’s it; everything else is spot on! I just sold my ‘19 240i XDrive a few months ago. It was my favorite DD that I’ve ever owned. Miss it already! Looking forward to the new 2025(?) M2 CS with AWD. That will be my new DD! MM, more of these type of videos, pls. This “living with” format is interesting/entertaining, & worthwhile… Cheers/B

As far as long term reliability, BMW has come a long, long way.

I like this video format about what is really like living with a car , hoping we can get more

  • @cls63amgwagon34

Uhhhh why did you put regular in that car, not premium???

  • @chuckcribbs3398

I really like your straightforward reviews…with a hint of sarcasm. 😁 Great review. This M2’s on my list.

  • @lordvader9408

Great video. Very informative. I just ordered a manual M2 and I can't wait to take delivery!

  • @gregpapagno5683

    I have owned a s55 f I r nine years now. 100k miles been very reliable overall

  • @adammarkowitz7944

Another professionally done video, thank you. I can't get past how BMW DE-beautified this once-beautiful car.

  • @MG-ot2yr

Thanks for the video, I'm getting ready to buy a new M2. I've had various BMW models over the past 40 years or so and can comment on whether to keep them over 5 years. They are hit or miss, and generally the first production year of a new redesign has the most problems...but that's not always true. If its a miss though, you'll know it usually within the warranty period, and if its presenting problems then get rid of it when warranty expires. If its hit, hang on to it. My current one is a 2015 435, having bought it on late 2014 so its 9 years old now and have had no problems with it, just your routine maintenance, oil changes, filters, etc, in fact its still got its original brakes....so this one has been a keeper.

400 miles in with MY G87 M2. Worthy replacement for the 1M, very good daily! 6MT. His points on this car are spot on, great video!
