These hills in kudremukh used to be mined for iron ore a long time back but were stopped by SC after objections from environmentalists. The ore is considered to be one of the highest grades in the world with more than 90% pure iron and is the most expensive one in the market. There were plans to have underground mining of the ore but even that was scrapped by the courts. Due to the high ore content the hills also have high magnetic energy and hence also known as magnetic hills

Absolutely fascinating! You rekindled my memory of Kudremukh! Between 1991 and 2002, I had been to KIOCL/Kudremukh nothing less than 70/80 times, in all seasons - from Bajpe airport/ Mangalore city and by road from Bangalore too. All these were official trips. I know the area like the back of my palm. My job was to travel all over India and few countries abroad. But Kudremukh remains by Best travel destination where my wife accompanied me on two occasions.
Your drone shots are amazing.
My purpose of visits were to help KIOCL to stop draining of very high grade Hematite ore which amounted a loss of several crores of rupees every day. The technology my US company supplied successfully solved the loss of several hundred crores rupees and helped them earn foreign exchange. KIOCL was one of the best managed public sector company and always generated profits.

Dear Roving Couple, Your videos are such an inspiration, after watching Udupi series, we travelled to Kuduremukh and Kalasa for a short trip on October 1st and 2nd. We enjoyed it so much. It was a sudden planed family trip with our pet cat Alisha. We got the accommodation for 4 of us in horandu with great difficulty. Thank you so much for making such a beautiful video. The places are like heaven on earth with beautiful landscapes, water streams, waters falls, hanging bridges across rivers, tea gardens and coffee estates with black pepper creepers.

I suggest you to explore Kodagu to Wayanad Route and then continue to Kannur. Its also a beautiful route
@@rizwanalibaig1850 yes I did Kodagu to Wayanad in one for the video “NatureFresh Homestay” however Kannur was done long time back with parents. That time we stayed at the Cherai Beach Resort but din use to vlog. Will do one soon again 😊
You could have just deviated from Kottigehara for about 12 Kms and visited Devaramane. It has a very beautiful landscape just like Windows XP wallpaper 😀😀

@@RovingCouple Yes its a bit offbeat place but an excellent place to visit. The name itself states Devaramane... means God's home 😀😀 There are lots of homestay's near Mudigere to stay as well.

I have spent 8 years of my childhood in Kudremukh. My dad was a Mining engineer. He was the head of an explosive manufacturing plant. Kudremukh is heaven. I live in Bangalore now.

Malnad region in Karnataka receives heavy rainfall so throughout the year it's evergreen. Monsoon, Winter, Summer all three major seasons are very beautiful here. It's one of the pure tropical climate zone in India.

Just wanted to to tell you something about pepper, when ripen they turn red and the ripen ones are put in boiling water and the skins removed gives us the white pepper. The normal which come to its size are plucked and then they turn black.
Hi, Nice videos.. Is it possible to use a selfi stick etc. while shooting front view as front windshield view is not coming fully as shoot from middle seat.
Your all videos are very good. We always wait for next video. My 7 yrs old kid also watch this channel and wait for next videos.
Stick is not needed as I tell Pallavi to zoom out a little for better view angle. Will take care.

The video is awesome. I m sure the camera cannot capture the same as we see with our own eyes. But i feel sometimes you are spoiling the shorts with bad color grading/saturation. Specially in the drone shots. Please try to keep them normal or don't edit the colors so much.

You are right we are not good at colour grading. Though it's taken as D-Cinelike and later try to colour it but sometimes I don't have that good knowledge in doing same with iMovie and final results comes bad. Also, drone angles with light have different effective which requires that editor brain but we do just quick one and still learning .... sorry for same 🙂
