Thats your interpretation, mine is that you need counselling for mother issues. Or an actual experience to teach you why its bad. I had this party companion from a strict muslim country who had such issues, i strongly warned him about it but he still brought a 50+ lady to his room, the regrets was massive and he felt sick about it for days but he got thoroughly cured, now he dates happily with young women.

Howard is not a realistic character, they exaggerated his character. The whole show is not realistic and it was not meant to be so, it was meant to be funny. In reality, guys like Howard and Leonard will never have a chance with girls like Bernadette and Penny, but as I said, it is about comedy, not about reality.

And since i was one of the first out there (due to having seen the fire from my window). So i struck up a conversation with a few tenants around my age. Nice people. havent seen them again though.
Thoug there was an incident where someone got shot in the street next to mine. Unreleated though.

Love episodes like these, the earliest ones. As the show progressed, it started getting too complicated with a more serious edge. Actually, the first seasons with Amy and Bernadette were pretty good, but the show started losing its edge...
And for anyone who complains about Bernadette being mean, she's been mean since season 5 - starting with going behind Howard's back and telling his mother about Howard going to space, which she refused to let happen by taking advantage of her overprotective nature
I felt they could've just focused on Leonard, Penny and Sheldon and their daily hi jinks and the rest of the characters would just be fillers, not included as the main cast.
Funny how it gained a "more serious edge," but you say it also "started losing its edge."

Epic scene, but either "...if you catch my drift." or "The horror!" - because latter was said twice (1:14+ & 2:25+), would be the better title for this one.
Come to think of it, the introduction of Bernadette at the same time desleazed Howard a lot, and made him only the second most unlikable hero (I'm not counting Sheldon, he's unrankable)
