You are wrong. Scripture is clear, you have to obey the authority. The authority did not stop you from worship the Father. They stop the gathering for health reasons.
Because of their disobedience to the Father, they brought judgement on themselves.
Rom 13:1 Let every being be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from Elohim, and the authorities that exist are appointed by Elohim.
Rom 13:2 So he who opposes the authority withstands the institution of Elohim, and those who withstand shall bring judgment on themselves.
      Here is your second witness:
Tit 3:1 Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work,
      and third witness:
1Pe 2:13 Be subject to every institution of man because of the Master, whether to the sovereign as supreme,
1Pe 2:14 or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of doers of evil, and a praise for those who do good.
1Pe 2:15 Because such is the desire of Elohim, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish men,

@AntiCap Atheist Christians obey Romans 13 when the government is in its lawful jurisdiction to uphold righteousness, punishing evil doers and rewarding those who do good. The covid bylaws interfere with Gods command for us to meet publicly for worship. Biblically, government was introduced to protect the God given rights of humans when there was murder of theft done to a human. When government infringes upon those rights we have the right to resist and make inquiry about their democratic duties, their job is to protect our rights and not take them away in the name of "safety".

@AntiCap Atheist Just because a government like Rome was barbaric, Romans 13 still commands us to obey government to a certain point (pay taxes, honor the king), but there were areas where Christians clearly disobeyed government, like in refusing to offer incense to the Emperor. This does not contradict the command in chapter 13. We are to obey government and live peaceably with all until their laws dictate our worship or force us to do something sinful. Jer 27:9 ‘So do not listen to your prophets, or to your diviners, or to your dreamers, or to your observers of clouds, or your sorcerers, who speak to you, saying, “Do not serve the sovereign of Baḇel.”
Do not listen to your pastors telling you to disobey the authority.
If you read Daniel 6, you will also learn that Daniel had to and did obey King Darius. But then the govenors weren't happy that the King blessed Daniel the way he did and wanted to get Daniel to fail. But they knew he would not disobey the king, but he will disobey if it goes against His Elohim.
Dan 6:4 Then the governors and viceroys sought to find occasion against Dani’ĕl concerning the reign. But they were unable to find occasion or corruption, because he was steadfast, and no negligence or corruption was found in him.
Dan 6:5 Then these men said, “We shall not find any occasion against this Dani’ĕl unless we find it against him concerning the law of his Elah.”
And this Daniel disobeyed, because it was against Yahuah's Torah:
Dan 6:7 “All the governors of the reign, the nobles and viceroys, the counsellors and advisors, have consulted together to establish a royal decree and to make a strong interdict, that whoever petitions any elah or man for thirty days, except you, O sovereign, is thrown into the den of lions.
And he was thrown in with the lions. And Yahuah protected him.
This is the word of Yahuah, you decide if you want to bring judgement on to yourselves:
Rom 13:1 Let every being be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from Elohim, and the authorities that exist are appointed by Elohim.
Rom 13:2 So he who opposes the authority withstands the institution of Elohim, and those who withstand shall bring judgment on themselves.

Isa 30:21 and your ears hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the Way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right, or whenever you turn to the left.
Scripture is clear, we must obey the authorities. If you don't you bring judgement on yourselves, 1st witness:

When our Father repeats Himself, we better listen.
The only time we may disobey the authority, is when we are expected to disobey His Word.
Like in Daniel, when they tried to trick Him to bow to the king.
He refused rightly and our Father protected Him.
Same with Mordekai when He was expected to bow down to Haman. Again the Father protected.
But otherwise we obey the govenrment, because we are commanded to.
No pastor can say any different, if they do, they are wrong. Just as they are wrong with the Father and Son's Sacred names, with the Sabbath, with Christmas and Easter, with eating of unclean foods.
Our Father does not change, but Christianity changes with the time.
Mal 3:6 “For I am יהוה, I shall not change, and you, O sons of Yaʽaqoḇ, shall not come to an end.

@@carleenpring3404 Thank you for your kind words. But i have to decline to listen to other preachers. I was a Christian for more than 40 years and lied to all the time. And the Father has shown me the errors of the church. And it's blatant disobedience to His Word.
They call Him by pagan names, disobey His Covenant sign, the Sabbath and many other errors.
The theology of the church is not Scriptural, close but not right.
Ask yourself how is it possible to get 3 days and 3 nights from Good Friday to the 1st day Sunday? Which is what the Scripture says:
Mat 12:40 “For as Yonah was three days and three nights in the stomach of the great fish, so shall the Son of Aḏam be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
Your pastor will not be able to tell you. If He knows the answer, then it will go against the teaching of the church. That is why this is never discussed in church.
Because the church threw Yahuah's Redemption Plan, out of their theology, many things the Christian do not understand.
Ask yourself why would our Loving Messiah Yahusha, live to be our example and die for us to set us free from sin.
Just so that the church can changes His Laws after our Messiah departed to be with the Father.
What use has the following Words, if we remain sinners according to the church?
Rom 6:1 What, then, shall we say? Shall we continue in sin, to let favour increase?
Rom 6:2 Let it not be! How shall we who died to sin1 still live in it?
Do you want to be free from sin? You can be, but not as a Christian.
Rom 8:2 For the Torah of the Spirit of the life in Messiah יהושע has set me free from the law of sin and of death.
If you truly Study Scripture you will learn our Father never changes and neither does the teaching of Yahusha.
Mal 3:6 “For I am יהוה, I shall not change1, and you, O sons of Yaʽaqoḇ, shall not come to an end.
      Confirmed that He is unchangeable:
Heb 6:17 In this way Elohim, resolving to show even more clearly to the heirs of promise the unchangeableness of His purpose, confirmed it by an oath,
In Whom there is no shadow of turning:
Jas 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change, nor shadow of turning.

10, 15 or 20 years? It's right on our doorstep here in America. They just passed the 'Equality Act' on the House floor today, which will have a chilling effect on churches and Christian organizations. It still has to pass the Senate.

Praying for Pastor James Coats and his wife, and their family and church. We are really starting to see the beginning of persecution. I use to wonder how is it that things like what happened in WWll, to the Jews, and other horrific genocides that have happened like Mao and the Bolshevik revolution, and even now in other countries like China, and several countries in Africa. We are seeing the same gradual things happening, it was especially even more clear when I read some of the communists goals, and saw how many things have happened over the past 20-30 years. Little by little, it’s gradual and so many people don’t see what’s really going on. Thank God that whatever happens, we have Jesus gift of salvation and the holt spirit to help us through whatever we go through. Thank you

Where can we write, email or snail mail, to let the government officials in Alberta know that what is happening with pastor Coates's is unacceptable? Of course he will be on my prayer list.

I could “believe” hurting or abandoning someone is “protecting” them, does not make it true. Abandoning the flock in a hard time is cowardly and not “protecting” them.
    Edit:
My meaning here is that those who shrink to livestream “services” are not living a call worthy of the one who gave His life in our place.
