So they went down a bit. So what. Gold and silver have done a very steady upward trend which is what happens when inflation is present. Gold is amazingly high. So guess what…that means inflation is amazingly high as well

I would tend to agree with your friend's assessment that silver is poised for a correction. The runup was on expectations of a cut. Will have to keep on eye on CME Group's FedWatch to see if/how those expectations change. Silver futures date is well beyond the next Fed date of 1 May. I don't think these recent gas price hikes are cooked in the latest CPI either. Like the sheriff said, we are in a bad way.
