Many of the generation that came after my mother’s generation actually didn’t do as well as their parents even though they had more access to better education and resources. Mentality is what builds up a young person. Stability and access to education and opportunities is what most of our young people don’t have. We need to create more stable, marriages in stable environments. Also, we need to address food insecurity/poor nutrition, and rates of abuse. The black community has one of the highest sexual and physical abuse rates of any ethnicity. It’s time for us to take personal responsibility.

Hill Harper is a Awesome guy and I read his book ManiFest Your Destiny geared towards young men and I highly recommend black men of all ages to read it plus he wrote a similar book geared towards young women and both of these books is a great read for the black community. Hill's grandparents on his mom and dad's side were also educated black people so it shouldn't be a surprise for Hill to be so smart because in his case literally The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. If he was a woman I would understand why he is not married (let’s be ffr) but he appears to have a good circle of friends that value marriage and may know eligible, accomplished, pretty single women. Interesting that he dated a “video vixen.” Hill might be more led by his pants but not so much that he marries these ladies. He may have a certain vision for his life and children’s lives (cotillions, Ivy League admission). If something happened to him would these women be able to ensure his family legacy is executed as planned? Without a doubt Michelle Obama type could. I believe he’s the around the age when George Clooney lucked up on Amal. Maybe Hill will find someone who matches or closely matches his academic and/or artistic accomplishments.
My guess is that he spent a great deal of time in school focusing on studies. Second, he was diagnosed with cancer, which I’m sure might have resulted in a long recovery period. Third, it seems he is quite ambitious and went straight away to focusing on ambitions after he beat cancer. Third, maybe the cancer treatment affected his ability to have children and in which case would make him ineligible for a lot of women. Lastly, maybe he made the best out of his circumstances and focused on building a legacy and raising a kid that could possibly pass on the torch.
