- FIRST LOOK: The GT-R is getting some big changes from Nissan for 2024. The NISMO edition brings the highest level of performance. Under the hood is a 3.8L twin-turbo V6 pumping out 600HP & is mated to a 6-speed DCT. Is the 2024 Nissan GT-R NISMO a performance car WORTH the PRICE?

The GT-R became the legend it is because it was affordable and meant to compete with the Supra, Evo, Sti, etc but now they are marketing the R35 as some $120k - $250k exotic car thats a out of reach for most people.
This is so true.
While the R35 GTR still has great performance for a platform from 2007,its held back by the 200k plus price point for the Nismo and the 115k plus for the base model. Its competition in the price point has caught up to it and has modernized, and if you want a R35 you have 15+ years of models to choose from for cheaper.
I agree, beautiful car but for 200k, I’ll take a Corvette Z06.

There are many things I can criticize about the GT-R but not the design. It looks so freaking good.

Dodge and Nissan have the right idea: don't try to change an already Perfect Design. It's what's under the hood and all four corners that count.

I'm a Z-Car kinda guy, but this wild beast is special. When it pulls up, you definitely know it means business. Sadly the price point is ridiculous.

I agree. Killer car. Looks, engineering. Outstanding. But price wise, its priced itself out of most pocketbooks. That being said, if you are able to afford one of these beauties, they do retain their resale value quite well.
Probably will retain it's value for a bit. Especially considering that the 13 year models can still go for about $80K.

This Nissan GT-R is the ultra apostle to the supercars and you know you have truely made it in life when you can get a supercar with Carbon fiber accents that's truely truely a sign of success!
You know what’s crazy? This car design hasn’t changed much in 15 years and it still looks great! The only thing that has changed mainly is the cost lol…with that said, If I had 200k in cash I’d buy it asap.

I know what many people saying about the price point but I think it still is worth compare to the previous models how this is evolved to be better Nismo 🎉 so unless you aren’t Gojira fan you should go for European or the American exotic 🎉I would love to own this beast 🎉thank you so much for the video🎉
Never underestimate the best that the Japanese can build - if I could only have two cars in my garage it would be a Nismo GT-R and a Land Cruiser.

The power needs to be bumped up to 700. And an extra 100 pounds of torque then I could justify the price. I can get the Z06 and still have 60 thousand dollars left over and the Z06 is a better car.

I love how they kept the proper handbrake and not that electronic push and pull one. It just feels much more reliable and you cant just accidentally press on it
I love the manual handbrake as well! I will say tho it is unlikely you’ll ever accidentally press a electronic hand break, I drive a 2022 Corolla and that’s never happened to me
Another great video! Best review channel by far. No matter what people say about the price , every decent car these days is priced at 50 k plus. Any exotic , foreign, and top domestic are all start at 100 k without specs and taxes. So I can see this being so legendary to gear heads and a racing treasure I understand the price tag. 2024 it’s out of hand unfortunately.
Oh. And most of all. Love the new GTR NISMO.
Man for $220,000+ you have some insane options G80 M3 (fully spec'd cost $160,000) M5, E63s, C63s, AMG GTR, 911 Turbo and even Bentley to name a few. You can buy an M3 tune it and push 750HP and it still wouldn't cost you more than $220,000. No flat bottom wheel, same old display like common. Wicked car but the price and design that has been the same for the past 14 years I'd go with a M3 or M5.
It’s a different type of passion you have for your job and love for your fans/ viewers to get down on your hands and knees to point out the details in the grill. 😂 Keep up the work bother 💪🏾

A lot of ladies and gentlemen will brag about its track times and speed, but most of them will be driven on normal streets with occasional track times. So 200k for this car is a hard to swallow pill unless you are a die hard fan of Nismo. I think the competition has caught up to it. You can buy a used one and mod it without 200kbbut then again, Nissan as a company is struggling all together. I hope for the best for Nissan but man that interrior needs an upgrade.
What a great car. It's rare to see around my area but it never fails to spin my head around.
I love it that Nissan steps into a segment and uses that Japanese pride in manufacturing and design to make something very special, timeless and desirable. This is like the Grand Seiko of sports cars.

I'm not sure if you saw the rearview on this car during the interviews they spoke about. But they were able to make the car quieter and lighter. I can't explain what it is but it was genius.

I've been doing some research into buying a R33 GTR as sort of a celebration of both entering my 40s and spending half of my life working with the same company (22 years) and finally being able to buy something I don't need but just want. Over the past year I've been reconsidering the R33 Skyline and going full on to a R35 GTR. The new one is amazing but I'm open to something used, say at least a 2015. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Do it, you won’t regret it. I am 40, midlife crisis, and I wanted a 32, but juts went all the way to 35 instead. You only live once

I went with a 2012.. Can’t complain, best car I have ever owned and don’t regret it one bit. I am glad I will have owned this car once in my lifetime. You should definitely do it if you can

I think Nissan should go back and improve on (or just tweak) the R34 body for the next generation but make it like a $60000 tuner with a twin turbo straight six putting out around 375 hp and 400 trq. Something ppl will love to mod AND that doesn't cost as much as a house 😅.
You're forgetting about the reality - Most people "just" want that "I must fit in" "bucket" list SUV. Why - because - "Fitting in" is more important than anything else.
This is #1 of my many dream cars I swear I’d be extremely happy just to sit in a Nissan GT-R 💯

This is what owner of Nissan wanted, GTR was already perfection, there was no need to mess with perfection just to make something. Every GTR series was amazing, and I am so happy they left one car alone and just let it shine. A super killing, spine breaking, tea stirring, nuclear lizard monster. I have a 2012 nismo and it's just as glorious as before.
For 200k+, that's pretty deep in exotic supercar territory. I'd be comparing it to high end porsche options, Lamborghinis, aston martins, the list goes on.
There is tough competition in that price range, it would be a tough sell even though it seems like a worthy vehicle. Drop the price a little and it could be a sweet spot or modify a few things.
Nah Nissan knows it won’t sell even with lower pricing so they might as well milk each sucker who buy one

Good job on the video, high energy, a little hyper but fun. Nissan was my first fun car back in the 80's went from there to BMW, then and now Porsche. But still love the Nissan.
The GT-R is a sexy car and its performance is amazing. That being said, not it, nor just about any other car on the market is worth their current market price right now. What made the GT-R sought after is it had a "relatively" fair asking price per performance, but that's just not the case today. I say the same for such Euro cars like the M series, and some AMG and RS models. Hell, spec'd out M3's are now in the 6 figure range.
This I think is still the god of all supercars . Keep it going, Raiti.

Still looking good still. Just need to drop the price because of its competition now. All so hopefully they added LED lighting to the interior and the license plate placement to complete the look with modern lighting.
a little search on my own, GTR is the R35. Now, for the location search in some state around when it comes. See which dealer will give me a better price.
Just like how the nissan frontier was before its redesign, the GTR needs a new make over as well. It may be new but the design says no. If you already own one why bother getting another one looking the exact same? "Oh performance blah blah" yeah performance changed but why not the design of how the performance has changed as well?
LOL, only the CF changed, engine and transmission is all the same so like you said, the old one's are performing just like this new one.

There’re being professional & doing it RIGHT! This car is OLD SKOOLZS!! Instead of jumping into the modern era with all the bright shiny knobs & devices, they went old skoolzs & made it an affordable upgraded classic car that gives you that legendary feel.❤️ looking at the dash was like taking me back! I know that in years to come they will change & modify the interior to a more modern look & feel with a heads up display, I don’t know,it probably already has that? But, right now, like everyone else “I’M JUST TOO DAM EXCITED FOR THIS CAR TO BE BACK!!!”
