Thats John Travolta dancing in a scene from the movie "Saturday Night Fever". The soundtrack is filled with the Bee Gees songs...disco ruled in the '70's!!😁🎶🎵🎶🎵
I love this video because Barry, Robin, Maurice, and Andy are all together on stage!
Singing and harmonizing with your brothers is like an instrument no one else can buy. It's heartbreaking that Barry has lost all of his brothers. RIP
Cameo by little brother Andy Gibb who I absolutely loved my seven year old hearts loved him in the late 70s also if you didn’t notice that’s John Travolta dancing it’s from the movie Saturday night fever
Andy was due to join his brothers for the "One" album and concert tour. They announced this in January 1988. He died in March before the Album was completed.
*Bee Gees - " I started a joke" Brother Robin sings this one solo. It's a beautiful song. Their voices are amazing together and separate. This is one of them.*
The Bee Gees had 7 songs on the album of the sound tracks of the movie “ Saturday night fever” to this day it is still the 2nd highest selling album of all time 65 M albums sold. Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” album is still number 1#
AC/DCs Back in Black is the second selling of all time with 50 million Dark Side of the Moon 45 million Rumours by Fleetwood Mac and Saturday Night Fever have 40 million sold
The Beatles have sold the most albums in total. Close to 300 million
@@alrivers2297 ~ They are talking about 1 album being sold by a group or solo, not all ever recorded by that artist.
But you still would be wrong. Elvis Presley has sold over 1 billion albums worldwide. The Beatles are at 600,000 worldwide...
Wow!
thriller is not a sound track idiot
John Travolta was a beast at dancing. Such a talented actor. Love him! I would be surprised if you have not watched any of his films. Especially, Pulp Fiction.
Their little brother Andy Gibb was definitely one of my childhood crushes. All the way up until he died of a drug overdose. The Bee Gees were always one of my favourites. I was little (born in 1970), but I'd be dancing to them like I was in a club then! My mom introduced me to so many really great British musicians. Along with some great Blue-eyed soul!
Andy died from Myocarditis (heart condition) not from a drug overdose incident.
Not a drug overdose, get your facts straight ma'am.
@@nancyberry1039 while he didn't die from drug od, his heart was greatly compromised by years of drug and alcohol abuse, ultimately leading to his very sad, untimely death.
I was born in 1969 and I always had a crush on Andy too.
not a drug overdose!! please read nancy berry's longer comment to explain what it was end please correct anyone who is mislead going on ta!
Saturday Night Fever great movie, John Travolta is the guy dancing. I'm sure you'll recognize him from other movies. He's been around for decades.
Watching you two enjoy this type of music . I was born in 1970 I have four kids. My oldest son is 31 my youngest son is 22 I have two daughters 23 and 25I have done my best with them and musical journey. It's totally awesome watching the youth enjoy the music of the past.
I am a 71 baby, My youngest (20) LOVES 80s music, and will not let me listen to anything other than 80s
I was a teenager! 14 years old when Saturday Night Fever came out. The greatest time to be a teen!
My children, and my Grandchildren are Bee Gees fans. 3 generations!! They grew up listing to my music. And I like most genres: old soul, R&B, Blues, Funk, Country, Rock, Christian, etc. etc.. I loved some of my moms music: Marty Robbins, Johny Horton, Dean Martin to name a few.
I agree my mom also listen to the classics old music. The corners Era all the way to Motown. I love listening to them all still.
71 here ... you guys must love the comeback of real music. If you haven't, check out Silk Sonic's full album.
So Grandma and Grandpa were getting down to some pretty cool music.
I grew up with the Bee Gees and I graduated high school in 1976. Best times of my life!!
Saturday Night Fever!!. Bee Gees are all over the soundtrack!
John Travolta plays the main character and kills it with his dancing!! A great movie!
Barry Gibb and Barbra Streisand with a duet Guilty ( live ) is amazing
If you want to see the little brother (Andy Gibb) sing solo, check out "Shadow Dancing" or "I Want to be Your Everything."
The brothers loved bringing Andy into the group. Maurice shared his mic with Andy and said- can you believe this shit?! Andy was awe struck.”Nights on Broadway” is really good.
Just to clarify misinformation & confusion- I see many folks saying that Andy died from a drug overdose and that is INCORRECT. Yes, Andy had an addiction that he battled for many years. It was the heavy use of cocaine which lead to heart damage (weakening of the muscle). The official coroner's report states that Andy died of Myocarditis - an inflammatory virus that his weak heart could not overcome. I saw an interview once where Barry (or maybe it was Robin) saying that it made him very upset & angry that the general public believes the lie that Andy died from an overdose like some junkie in a back alley, when in truth he had died from a heart condition (exacerbated by drug use) which most people were not aware of...
Thank you Nancy!! I didn't want to correct anyone but facts are facts & you are correct. 💯
Thanks, Nancy - and the deaths of Maurice and Robin - while seemingly not similar - both were apparently related to some possible genetic "defects" -- I just love and miss them all -- how sad it must be for Barry to be the only one... and as the "oldest"... all we can do is to continue to appreciate them all --
Myocarditis and endocarditis are also infections of the area around the heart and heart valves caused from IV drug use. I know someone who almost died from it.
His addiction caused his death. That's a fact.
true you are right.
he didn't. die from an Overdose
he went to hospital complaining of chest pains
his birthday was April the 5th
he died on April the 10th
Unbelievably talented brothers and musicians. 🤩
Bee gees -emotion is a vibe too
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥John Travolta Killing it dancing ❣❣❣❣❣❣
I love this performance above all the others because their little brother Andy is on stage with them (sharing the mic with Maurice). Andy was very popular in his own right & had a huge fanbase. He was a solo artist but collaborated with his big brothers many times. They wrote songs together & sometimes Andy would show up at their performances. Sadly, he died at a very young age way back in 1988. He passed away just 5 days after his 30th birthday... He was the baby of the family & the first sibling to pass away. Followed by his twin brothers, Maurice & Robin. Only Barry & Lesley (first born & older sister) are still with us. Please check out some of Andy's library of songs - Shadow Dancing, I just want to be your everything, Thicker than water, An everlasting love, & Don't throw it all away.
In a 2001 interview, Maurice said having Andy join them (for this song, in Houston) was "magic." He said, as they were sharing a mic & singing, Andy had tears in his eyes. Maurice said he (Maurice) looked across the stage &, seeing all his brothers, it "felt whole." So sweet.
The saddest part is they were only weeks away from officially adding Andy as a true member of the band before he passed. It was going to be a huge announcement. The BeeGees were always supposed to be the 4 of them.😢
Saturday night fever it’s a great movie with excellent soundtrack
Pls react to..Nights On Broadway..on the Midnight Special. Great Bee Gees song..Very Soulful.
My favorite group! They wrote great songs and sang them beautifully! They also wrote hit songs for other people too!
The Bee-Gees Totally Jam!
That move you're asking about is a a traditional Russian dancing move (not sure of the name). A version of this move also ended up being used a lot by dancers who do the OG hip hop style of locking. Several of the moves he does in this scene are locking moves.
I think it is called the Cossack step. Traditional in Cossack and Ukrainian dance. It is sometimes seen in Russian ballet too.
@@catherinelynnfraser2001 The style of dance as a whole is sometimes called Cossack (or always sometimes hopak), but I don't know the name of the different steps in this style.
This was the shit back in the day
The dance move you were asking about where John Travolta goes down on his knees is a move taken from Russian Kosaczan folk music.
The Bee Gees documentary is excellent - it'll give you their whole background. As others have said, the movie scenes are from "Saturday Night Fever" starring John Travolta. He actually received an Oscar nomination for the role of a young, Italian man from Brooklyn, going out with his friends to the discos - his home life, his work life and him wanting to go further in life. But when they were making the movie, from what I remember, they needed to find someone or someones to create the music. A producer was told to ask the Bee Gees (and they weren't well known here in the U.S. at the time) but he was assured that he would not be disappointed. The Bee Gees could go into a studio in the morning and come out with five songs in the afternoon and they obviously hit it out of the park. The Saturday Night Fever album is one of the highest grossing albums of all time and rightly so. Love your reactions!
If ya'll ever check out Andy Gibb's music u will see Andy looks like a clean shaven version of Barry.
That BeeGee in the middle w the long hair that’s on the mic by himself by Barry singing cracks me up just moving his hips side to side .. lol 😂
😁 I Started A Joke and Massachusetts are Two Songs Robin Sings and I think has the best Voice of the four Gibbs. 😁❤🤘
Can't you acknowledge at least that its JOHN TRAVOLTA. That blank stare on your faces is so zombie-like. SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER!!! omg!
More than a Woman... Ive Gotta Get a Message to You ( Live in Las Vegas ) ...Jive Talking...Night Fever.... Nights on Broadway (Midnight Special)
Are you telling me you have never seen Saturday Night Fever? This whole as a classic movie. This is what revitalized Travolta's career and made him a Superstar. Bee Gees did the entire soundtrack 😊
That is John Travolta dancing
The male dancer in the video is John Travolta. These are scenes from the movie Saturday Night Fever!! John Travolta was a professional dancer before he was ever an actor.🕺🕺🕺❤️❤️❤️ The Bee Gees wrote the soundtrack for the movie🔥🔥
Please react to NIGHT FEVER - the song that gave Saturday Night Fever it’s name!!! The official video was shelved by management because Barry had shaved, and was not released until 26 years later.
Their little brother is Andy Gibb...who started a successful solo career of his own (before his death from a drug overdose). Check out his Shadow Dancing or An Everlasting Love. His big brother Barry co-wrote a lot of his material so there's more than a little crossover in sound.
And the movie you're seeing clips from is Saturday Night Fever, starring John Travolta. It was a bona fide cultural phenomenon! The soundtrack is iconic.
The SNF soundtrack is actually in the National Recording Registry, in Library of Congress, for being "culturally significant."
Andy died from Myocarditis (heart condition) not from a drug overdose incident.
@@nancyberry1039 Thanks for that correction! The doctors did say, however, that his condition - his Myocarditis - was very likely the result of his prolonged cocaine abuse.
@@Pixelologist yes but saying he died from a drug overdose just isn't right
@@metalmellie4371 And I did thank Nancy for the correction. Peace out.
THE 2nd PART OF "SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER" .RELEASED IN 1977, IS CALLED "STAY'IN ALIVE". RELEASED JULY 11, 1983 The film was directed by Sylvester Stallone, who co-produced and co-wrote the film with original Saturday Night Fever producer Robert Stigwood . MORE BEE GEES🟥🔴🟧🟠🟨🟡🟩🟢🟦🔵🟪🟣🟫🟤⬛⚫.
i was blessed to grow up listen to them and dancing to their music at the discos, i haven't see anythng like that era ever after
Fire!! Those disco songs ain't my favorite, but I like them all.!!
It's gonna be interesting when you react to their other voices. Songs like "Started a Joke", "Massachusetts".
The Bee Gees wrote GREAT music, nevermind the year. And I was born in 1948 (older than dirt!) Still love this music.
Tons of good music on the Saturday Night Fever sound track... enjoy!!
The movie is Saturday night fever.. john Travolta killed it on the dance floor.. so happy they kept it in the movie..
The other two brothers are twins. Andy, the youngest, made it on his own, but his brothers wrote his songs and produced them. Saturday Night Fever
So glad I got too see them live and see Andy live yea I had a blessed momma that loved music and concerts
GROUP: The Time
SONG: Jungle Love
👏👏👍
GREAT DANCE SONG
This song actually has a dance created for it
Find The LIVE 👍 PERFORMANCE VIDEO
Saturday Night Fever. Check out some of Andy's songs. Most of them were written by Barry.
They wrote the entire soundtrack for the movie in 3 days. They were geniuses
Your Granmother and Grandfather had alot of fun in those days. That´s way you are here.😂
John Travolta is such a great dancer !! He shows off in this movie Saturday Night Fever and Grease and others
Saturday Night Fever and that’s John Travolta, who you may or may not know. This movies catapulted him into super stardom.
"Saturday Night Fever" was the movie. A young John Travolta lol. I was 8 years old, when this movie came out. John is in his 60's now, and bald, but that's what age does. He had the moves, and the Bee Gees were the rage back in the day.
This song was created when our country was happier than it is now.
They were rocking in tho day in 70,s still rock now not many left now
Saturday Night Fever, you will love the soundtrack in this movie.
Too much heaven that song will floor you to the ground
"You Should Be Dancing" had a huge impact on the dance club scene. According to Nicky Siano, a DJ at various clubs in New York City (as told in the documentary The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart), it was played at the hottest clubs about three times a night during its heyday, and helped bring disco culture - previously the province of the gay community - into the mainstream. If you want to hear songs from other Gibbs brothers check out I started a joke by the Bee Gees ( which features Robin Gibb on lead vocal ) and also I just want to be your everything by Andy Gibb. 🙂
Dance clip from the movie Saturday Night Fever starring John Travolta.
THATS JOHN TRAVALTA DANCING
This from the soundtrack of Saturday Night Fever. The Bee Gees had 7 of the songs and it launched the entire Disco seen
The BeeGees are brilliant; their music was so much fun to dance to; crazy hair, bell bottoms, lit dance floors; I grew up in this era; you don't see this kind of music tdy
Andy Gibbs chose a solo career and the 3 older brothers totally understood. The movie is Saturday night fever with John Travolta
Please do Shadow Dancing by Andy Gibb!! 😍😍
Oh man! That's Saturday night Fever!! John Travolta dancing....this is the soundtrack to the movie.
That Move is called The Nutcracker "
You know why!lol
John Travolta practiced months for this role.
I was 18 in 1976 and hitting the disco's in Denver, Colorado hard with my friends. The best times ever.
They wrote all the songs on this album (Saturday Night Fever) for the soundtrack to that movie in a week and they never saw the movie until the music was put with it in final form. You can't sit still when you hear this song!!! You need to listen to their song Tragedy.from 1978,
You can react to other Bee Gees songs such as Night Fever, More Than a Woman and Night on Broadway as well as How Deep is Your Love.
I read that the move John Travolta did was known as the “knee breaker” in that it’s extremely dangerous, because you can do serious damage or even break your knees. He was asked not to do that particular move, and he did it anyway! The movie is Saturday Night Fever .
GOOD YEARS THE 70;S IM 62 AND THIS WAS WHAT WE DANCED TO IN CLUBS, WHEN PEOPLE COULD SING AND RECORD WITHOUT ELECTRONICS TO CHANGE VOICES
1976 I was fifteen years old, so I know that song very well. It was a very popular song, like so many of the Bee Gees songs. I don't remember the name of that movie, but the guy dancing is John Travolta.
This track is a Disco Anthem ........ Was in the charts on both sides of the Atlantic in 1976, a couple of years before the movie Saturday Night Fever was released ......
Reacted to how deep is your love, too much heaven, more than a women, love you inside out, spirit having flown, and first of may.
That guy dancing is John Travolta from the movie “Pulp Fiction.” I never saw this video. Didn’t know Andy Gibbs was in this video singing with them. Very Cool! RIP Andy
John Travolta.. Saturday Night Fever... Bee Gees soundtrack...1976, I was a senior in High School...
Gee, you guys make me feel so old born1943. Didn't know the beegees? Well there was so much great music being written in those years........
Saturday Night Fever!! CLASSIC! MUST WATCH!
Words, by BeeGees.
Cool story about the youngest brother, Andy. First, he was sexy looking like Barry. Second, Barry wrote a lot of "hit songs" for Andy on his debut album.....and Andy became a super star after that first album. But it was Barry's writing, and Barry produced Andy's album. Instant success for baby brother and launching Andy's solo career.
The Bee Gee's: Nights on Broadway 💗
I'm sure others have said, the movie is "Saturday Night Fever" staring John Travolta showing his dancing skills. He later showed them in the movie "Pulp Fiction".
1977, two seventeen year olds, baby on the way, went to see Saturday Night Fever. The most awesome movie we ever saw. At the time of course 😆. Dipped into disco, still love the Bee Gees, even though we're rockers! Yes, that baby on the way is now 44! He'd sooner die than listen to the Bee Gees! Rocker like his parents!
Night Fever, Jive Talkin & Nights on Broadway are the best Bee Gees songs.
Saturday night fever. That's John travolta dancing
This is the Disco era. That dancer is John Travolta - really dancing. Also from Saturday Night Fever movie.
I'm an old army metalhead , this song rips and I dare people not too move. You should be dancing ya...
You need to Check out the movie Grease, Barry wrote several of the songs on there.
Barry only wrote the title song GREASE, then produced and sang backup on Frankie Valli’s #1 of it. They years later wrote a new song to be used in a new live play, but no others for Grease 1 or 2 movies.
That's John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever - one of the most successful and cultural changing movies of the 70's.
I was going to Disco's when this came out...
It was a huge song at the 'Roller Rink' as well.
Man I feel old!
It's John Travolta dancing from the 70's movie Saturday Night Fever. The Bee Gee's did the soundtrack.
I told you before John Travolta in "Saturday Night Fever" in the club "2001 Odyssey" in Brooklyn NY. In my stopping ground of the late 70's early 80's.
Barry wrote so many of Andy’s songs. As great as they were as performers, the BeeGees were great songwriters too.
if you were born in the 60's..there was nowhere but up with music..it just go better and better
Saturday night fever
this brings back so many memories. i was 17 when this was released!!!!!! where have all those years gone😂😂😂👍
The movie is called Saturday Night Fever with John Travolta and the Beegees did the entire album and sound track for the movie
Saturday Night Fever, that’s John Travolta dancing! Great Movie!
You need to watch Saturday Night Fever!!! A lot of The Bee Gees music is featured. This video is a little off as far as the beat of the music matching with the video. Watch the movie to get the full effect. You won’t regret it. React to More Than A woman next!!!
Deney Terrio (Mr.Disco) was the choreographer who taught Travolta the dance moves for the Movie. Terrio taught many dancers.
If you want to be blown away with harmonies you have to listen to Fanny be tender with my love and nights on broadway
