That "NOOOOOO" has to be the most iconic and funny villain noooo i have ever seen its like a cartoon videogame nooo that makes to laugh amd have fun.
That was funny and good at the same time
And also captures how Eobard is an absolute loser who ruined his own life because he was being a man child who threw a fit over how he couldn’t get all the attention a glory he clearly didn’t deserve.

This is where The Flash ends for me. Barry finally accepting his fate to fight Thawne and saving his younger self.
It is a perfect ending because you don't have to see all seasons to understand it (that Black Suit Thawne in Season 8 arc was awful). The only thing that matters is that Barry was willing to erase the timeline where he was happy just to save Thawne and stop him to be stuck in the past. The story should have ended there; but they had to do the Cobalt Blue thing that ended in the worst finale imaginable. At least Matt's Thawne wasn't ruined like Tom's Thawne, as we had few episodes with him, but each of them were special.

Barry's forgiveness are the best Revenge. because this whole time Thawne *wanted* Barry to hated him so he could spend more time with his idol. so by Forgiving Thawne, Barry finally found peace and instanly reset Thawne existence.
Tom played the role cold and intelligent, yet with a hint of affection for Team Flash. Mark played it friendly and warm, till the mask drops and the raging psychopath beneath is revealed.
Matt could've done both if they gave him screen time. They ruined Matt's Eobard and killed him off

Matt didn't get enough time, but he did play both the cold, calculating Eobard and the petty, rageful and batshit insane Thawne.
I just realized that for 9 years Barry has had ptsd of this night over and over until now
Earlier he was gloating and basking in his supposed victory, now he's full of resentment as he's stuck in a time he can't escape without giving Barry his powers.
That is the thing. He doesn't have to give Barry his powers. He won Barry no longer becomes the Flash. His obsession with his speed is why he brings Barry back as the Flash. Barry even gives Eobard the out to change history to win cause Barry knows he wouldn't become the Flash if Eobard doesn't kill Nora. This acceptance though of her death is a great arc here for Barry.

@@jasondiend4248 No man. in the original timeline, before RF kills Nora for the first time, barry became the flash in 2020. But since RF killed Nora and lived in that timeline for 15 years to create the flash, the timeline cemented and the time loop started so the OG timeline seized to exist completely. Thats why when Barry saves Nora theres no OG timeline to return to so he creates Flashpoint, which is just a new timeline alltogether.
What's funny is that even though he promises Barry torment, he actually grew to love Barry and admire him for the man he has yet to become. Think about it. This thawne is far more ruthless and sadistic than the one that became Wells. He taught Barry to go back and prevent his mother's death, paid for the murder of Nora and even said he grew fond of his time in team flash.
He enjoyed living amongst ghosts, but was anchored by his need to return home

He IS the one that became Wells. This is Wellsobard. This is S1 Thawne. Technically pre-S1 but they are the same person. Your comment is right and it is beautiful, but the negative speed force in this episode said “Thawne died. So can you.” Confirming Wellsobard’s death in the finale, also in the episode “Thawne kills my mother tonight!” Barry wouldn’t have said that if he didn’t already know this was the past version of Wellsobard. Every moment from that Thawne should be credited to him as well, because they are the same
I think he did like them for a while, but not love. They were a different experience, one that he enjoyed sometimes, but once he betrayed them, he was slowly consumed by his old hatret towards Barry and everything he stands for.

Thawne gotten plentiful of warnings that he was never gonna make it. S2 Barry (fixed it) straight up told him that he’s dead. S9 Barry knew exactly what he’s gonna do and warned him. Nope. For someone renowned as the genius of 31st century, he’s as sharp as a rubber ball.
The thawne from season 1 died last season I think this thawne is the original time line thawne since he didn't know about the fixed point.

25th century. The Legion of Super-Heroes are from the 31st century. Eobard Thawne and Booster Gold are from the 25th century (Booster doesn't show up in the CW shows. A Legion member sort of does, in that XS (Xcess/Excess) was originally Jenny Ognats, a descendant of Barry and Iris from the 31st century).

Ironically now they both let eobard kill nora. 3x01 eobard had killed her because of Flashpoint. And now this Barry had to because of the timeline.
Barry wasn't trying to save the timeline though. Otherwise he wouldn't have given Eobard the out and the chance to change history. He gave Eobard the chance to win by doing nothing because the timeline would change. Barry just ensures Eobard doesn't kill young Barry and time plays out when Eobard goes to kill Barry.

I loved this episode and how it was a full circle moment. With Barry saving his younger self from that night and stopping his season 1 self from saving his mother. I was really glad they brought about Tom as the Reverse Flash. He’s the original and he’s the best. He nails every scene he’s in he saves the show whenever he comes back lol

The only part is missing is where Barry creating Gideon. Gideon told us in season 1 Barry created her, i wanted to see that moment
Technically, he already did. In season 6 with the crisis, he put Gideon into a small earpiece to guide him, so Gideon was always technically created.

2:32 I would laugh if somebody opened their door and said "will you shut the hell up? People are trying to sleep." Or hell throw a shoe at him at least.
I may have an idea for the season finale plot… Barry could take Thawne back to when he was about to present himself to the world as a speedster, but this time, without stealing the moment. That way they have ended the series in a timeline where both are heroes instead of mortal enemies
If they follow the comics the moment Eobard is talking about was staged. He deliberately puts innocent people in danger just to look like a hero. Flash stops this because he knows he has to. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy.
I reckon Cobalt Blue is taking Barry to the key points that led to Eddie Thawne's death as revenge. This is Reverse Flash getting stuck, and now Cobalt Blue is taking him further and Barry was just teleported to where he's going to steal the spotlight
@@TehBellcarl Yeah with Eobard it was never about being the hero but the adulation of being a hero. Even if they don't go with the staged element it was still never be about actually saving those people it would be about him being the hero. That is the difference between him and Barry. Barry is the hero it isn't about himself it is about them.
It wouldn’t work. Like thawne said killing Barry’s mom is a fixed point. A fixed point is a moment in time that needs to happen or time itself will be destroyed. The flash and the reverse flash both need to exist in order to keep time stable. Which is why Barry said “you don’t win the war, neither of us can” and why the reverse flash can’t kill Barry as a kid. It also explains why thawne lost his speed after he killed Barry’s mom and why he had to do what he did in season 1. Flash preventing thawne from becoming the reverse flash would indirectly cause that fixed point to not occur and it has to. There is nothing anyone can do to prevent it, except the presence (god)

always confused me why Thawne didn't just recreate the experiment that gave him his powers in the future instead of waiting 15 years to create the flash
Lack of availability of tech as thawne was born in 2149 and in 2000 there was barely any tech of that level so he stole Harrison Wells idea and brought up the particle accelerator few years prior thereby creating the flash in 2014 whereas in the real original timeline the flash was born in the year 2020 i think
@@lukecullins9934 there is no reverse engineering because there is no flash to use for the experiment, so thawne had to create him. Also, there is no star labs with a particle accelerator.

After hearing eobard thawne said, he still doesn't know that making Barry the flash to send him home, and the other things yet, only to suffer a fate worse than death "defeat" at first yes it took a long time just to get to this point, but it makes no matter what thawne will never go home and win or lose a few battles, he can never win the war
And ultimately, Eobard Thawne will die, overloaded by the Negative Forces.

@@jaimywieanders3613 We know that isn't true. Thawne is a time remnant to start with. Because of the events of Season 1 Thawne is erased from time. I'll be calling them by their actors name just for ease of conversation. We also know that Tom's Thawne had gain more knowledge of time traveling than Matt's Thawne. Tom's Thawne isn't as sloppy but he was time traveling already in season 1 timeline. As that is the only way time remnants of Tom's Thawne exists. Matt's Thawne got sloppy while time traveling and cause the Black Flash to notice his ass and chased him down to the point the legends used it against him. Tom's Thawne has a whole book on how to remember and how to alter time.
@@jasondiend4248 Your right about that he is a time remnant, but this is the original story of eobard thawne. Season 1 with tom was actually a sequel to this eobard thawne. Thats why the cycle is now complete. Season 1 should have come after season 9 for logics.
@@jaimywieanders3613 Well yeah it is a circular paradox. This timeline events had to play out exactly like this. This also fixes a number of continuity issues they had. It was the perfect end of the Thawne Barry feud on screen.

Firstly he recreated the experiment that gave Barry his super speed, staged the accident to unveil himself as a hero that barry stops instead, him hating Barry now and wanting to find out what time period the flash was born in, this is followed by the season 2 appearance of him, which is where he learned everything about the flash when Barry sent him back to his time to save Cisco from being erased from existence, this leads to the event of thawne killing Barry’s mom and the entirety of season 1 occurring, and he died when Eddie shot himself. Even the thawne that help stop Godspeed wasn’t a time remnant, he was recreated by the speed force which then leads to his death again in this season. All of these events featured the original thawne and included no time remnants
But what I didn't got from the beginning. Why did Thawne lost his power to go back to the future? I mean why is Noras death causing that?
Originally when Thawne went back in time and killed Nora after he failed to kill young Barry it changed the future so that Barry never became the Flash. With no Flash to inspire Thawne to create his own speed powers he never gains them. Thawne loses his speed after he killed Nora and couldn’t go back home. This forces Thawne to kill the original Harrison Wells and replace him to ensure Barry gains his powers and become the Flash again.
Basically Thawne cannot exist as a speedster without the Flash coming into existence.
This is season finale and no other episode after this is canon, it's just Iris's weird dreams as she went into a temporary coma after giving birth, when she wakes up, she sees barry holding her hands beside her- they now know it- peace is finally here.

he travelled to the future chasing a villain, ended up saving those ppl by coincidence and stopping reverse flash. it's also a point to note that RF set the people up to be in danger so he could save them in the first place, so he was already a villain even before he began lol

Nora dying was in Thawne's original timeline, he just didn't realize until after he went back in time and killed her.

This would have been a great finish to The Flash. Instead of despairing Flash just runs and leaves Thawne and we get the running monologue at the end.
