  • Here's a couple of tunes we recorded in the homestudio during the second year (./cry) of the corona lockdown, together with our good friend and awesome fiddlechick Anneke Eijkelboom.
The tunes are Sporting Belles, The Glen Road to Carrick, A Deanadh Im (Making Butter), and John Brennan's.

Sounds fantastic. Is it me or is there some bottom end added in the last tune of the set. Something way down in the bass range to give it a little more body. It gave it a bothy band vibe. Triona used to play those bass notes on the keyboard like that, which really drove the tempo. Sounded good.

They get close to the weight and controlled frenzy of Bothy Band late in the medley.

@@franksabatino7576 Agreed. It reminded me of this set. The last tune that starts at 2:55 has a similar feel. One where Triona is playing the driving bass notes like that.

By cheating ;) I've got a Boss OC2 octaver pedal hooked up to a pickup that gets only the G string.
