Jesus give me strength. I’m trying to balance everything on my own, but Lord I’m failing miserably as a single mother. Both sons are special needs I’m so overwhelmed trying to support them on my own. I’m struggling to make ends meet, to pay bills, and to put food on the table for my children. Jesus guide me and give me strength. I have faith you will carry me through this difficult time.💕❤️

The RCIA [Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults] courses in the Catholic Church usually begin in late September, so this will be about the time to approach your local Catholic priest. If you can take this course you should be able to be received into the Catholic Church next Easter.

One of the biggest mistakes is taking biblical words out of context. 67 So Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you want to go away as well?” 68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, 69 and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.”

    • @adelbertleblanc1846
      @adelbertleblanc1846 Před 17 dny +1

Helo Teresa, Your comment is one of the very relevant comment on this video. I also love this verses of the Gospel of John : "“From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him. “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve. Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.” (John 6.66-69) - Yes very trully, let us mind and act as PETER did : there is NO an "other" JESUS CHRIST!
God bless You and Yours !

Jesus has plenty of room for you. The Catholic understanding of the Eucharist is wrong. It’s symbolic. Jesus is in Heaven on the right hand of His Father. He isn’t turning wafers into His flesh so we can be cannibals. This was a Greek perversion that found its way into the Church based on poor context of the scriptures.

I don't have a problem with you opposing The Church, if you choose. You've got free will for a reason. What seems nonsensical is opposing a church that doesn't exist (The Catholic Church that you seem to think exists ... does not exist).

Christianity's teachings are an embarrassment to humanity & must end.
Is there a greater arrogance than expressing you have some sort of relationship with a deity?
Question: How can you possibly take faith seriously? How can anyone in their right mind ask others to believe in the existence of a Deity who makes Mormons so Christians will know how Jews feel, having had their literature hijacked. Nothing fails like prayers in a children's hospital & indoctrinating children is criminal. The faith vocabulary causes the user to be avoided like the old woman with too many cats. Faith "comes not with peace, but sword." Faith comes with wolves dressed as sheep & preaching to the choir. Faith trades the last cow for a pocketful of magic beans & then expects everyone's appreciation. Jesus said, it is a wicked generations which seeks signs such as resurrection. Faith is as worthless as fantasyland magic, since you can't tell mountains to move. The "only sign given" in reality "is Jonah": A believer murdered by other believers because he is outnumbered. The context is Jesus seeing a gathering crowd.

I like how Bishop Barron describes the scene at the end of John 6 as that Gospel's account of St. Peter's confession. It's telling this moment of decision comes after the disciples are presented with this profound discourse on Jesus's Body and Blood as food and drink for us.
These readings are especially profound for me because they were proclaimed at the first Mass I attended after going away to college. As an 18-year-old about to start college in two days, these readings spoke to me the reality of Who God is and what He has done in offering Himself for us. This reality compelled a response, and I chose to be involved at the St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Studnet Center at Valparaiso University, which led to my faith flourishing anew. I was back in Valparaiso this weekend, and Bishop McClory celebrated a special Mass for the 50th Anniversary of St. Teresa's. Bishop McClory put it well in his homily that we are called to constantly make this commitment throughout our lives.

"Even if you don't fully understand it." That reminded me of Scott Hahn's conversion story, where he studied his way into the Catholic Church. Everything he sought to prove wrong, to his surprise was true. And at one point his wife asked him: "Scott, why don't you just convert to Catholicism?" He responded with one or two things he couldn't believe, but his wife pointed out he had dozens of things he thought wrong with the Catholic faith. Now he was down to two. "Can't you take anything on faith alone?" (even if you don't fully understand it). He was stunned, and converted, and now proudly says he believes everything of the faith."

What I do know is that I can’t accept going through this life , injustice, untold sufferings without Him not being here … makes no sense at all to me . Even the universe which is intelligible is mind blowing .
Wow , I’m all over the map .. I lost my husband a year before your brother lost his wife … it’s beyond description this grief . It robs and distorts every beautiful thing in life . Tell him I understand fully and send my compassion.. so random , sorry ♥️

To me theses verses are among the very relevant verses of the Gospel of John : "“From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him. - God bless You and Yours !

I like the way that the Church gives us these readings from John 6 from Week 17 to Week 21 in year B. It gives priests extra chances to give Eucharistic homilies concentrating of the Real Presence. Ours did on Weeks 18 and 20. This is in addition to the annual Eucharistic Homilies on Maundy Thursday and Corpus Christi.

    Our Lord, God and Saviour.
You are the one that I seek, that I’m glad I have found, yes you are my Lord. You are The Word, You are the Light, and you are my world… You are the reason I’m here, and the reason I live… for you created me, brought me to life, gave me my reason to live… And that is to know you, to love and to praise you, adore and glorify you. 🙏
You sacrifice your life for us, and you gave your life for us to live… for you are The Way and You are The Truth, and you are The Life… You are The One, oh Lord. 🙏❤️
Receiving the Holy Eucharist, in me, makes me stronger spiritually, psychologically, mentally, emotionally, and physically, as you will. Watching over us, always, I love you, trust you and have faith in you. I leave everything in your hands, you know best. You gave me life, you gave me hope, my life is yours… Forever grateful Lord for my life, for everything that I have, and for everything that you’ve enabled me to do… I pray and hope, they are pleasing in your eyes, and if not for when I get weakened, I’m sorry, forgive me Lord. Be merciful oh Lord. 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
    God bless us all. 🙏
