I saw it in Australia and left really disappointed.
Ahhh!! I get goosebumps watching this!! But this is honestly one of those performances that you HAVE to see live. The energy, the lights, the voices….the whole product of this number is unreal!
Seen this twice and this number is the reason I decided to pay to see it a second time.

Seeing this performance in particular live was amazing. This and Roxanne stole the show. The movie has always been a favorite of mine so I was worried about the musical but it met expectations, loved it

HOLY LIGHTING this is so amazing!! the way they utilize each and every light so well, every beam has a purpose, this is such a phenomenal show technically i cannot even
you ain't joking and the whole show is a masterpiece of lighting. I have never gone home after a play before and looked up who the lighting designer was but I did this time. It's Justin Townsend's work and he won at least a Tony for it and I'm sure he has won plenty of other awards, too. well earned awards. If you have a chance to see this in person, go for it. I saw the N. American traveling tour cast and just.. wow. I'm still walking around on a high from the energy of their performance.
When I got to see this I was almost screaming at how cool this show's lighting looked.

Sonya Tayeh; and idk about Olivier awards and whether MR was even up for them, but she def won a Tony for her Moulin Rouge choreo (rightfully so)
This is my favorite song in Moulin Rouge musical! Especially the part where they get to the Toxic part. The ensemble is so talented
having seen this over 400 times on Broadway with the original cast and the subsequent replacements. This is so exciting to see on a bigger stage with much more added so glad that they did this. Although it is true seeing it live literally takes your breath away every night! Well done.

@@kaykov728 my sister is an usher and saw Hamilton 36 times, she knew every dance routine and all the whole script by the end 😂 it makes me jealous but then she had to watch Mary Poppins over 50 times and that would drive me crazy

Saw this in Hollywood a few weeks ago. Drove 2 hours to see it. It was worth it. Tears were on my face it was so damn good. I was totally blown away.

Was extremely fortunate to see this twice during its world premiere in Boston in the historic Colonial Theater in 2018. Each time, this performance not only earned a rousing standing ovation, but the applause went on for such an extended period, it became obvious that the performers became uncomfortable holding their frozen positions for so long. I have never felt energy in a room like that before or since.
Imagine having performed for over an hour and taking only a 20 minute break to come out and perform this BEAST of a number to open act 2! Bravo to theatre talent! Phenomenal. Other worldly. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
That's theatre for you love. It demands everything. Luckily it gives everything back as well.
Love how far this show has come since their days in Boston. It never gets old and i love seeing different casts as everyone puts a unique spin on their roles.
the musical is the best of all performances. I can't take my eyes off as long as I watch. amazing and beautiful both in terms of dancing and singing.
BGT is getting better and better after the season after season. Everything from the stage lighting and the stage set-ups, the make-up, and the sound system....the list goes on.....

This number is much better to watch when you understand what's going on in the show, but even without context this is a fun performance to watch ❤
We need more official musicals proshots - Heathers, Bonnie and Clyde maybe it's time for film Moulin Rouge, Back to the future, Wicked and Dear Evan Hansen (before last performance because it's only couple months for the last show this musical on West End) 🔥
If you want a film of Moulin Rouge, I have good news for you. It was released in 2001.

true, when I saw moulin rouge after the opening and ending numbers I had an ear ache for a solid hour because it was so loud , I was close to the front

I saw the show on Saturday in London… it was just brilliantly executed. Wonderful cast, music, performance, lights… everything was ace!
I saw moulin rouge in cologne yesterday and let me say it was breathtaking. The singers, dancers, acrobats, costumes, lighting, SET DESIGN omfg it was amazing
Honestly I think the most impressive part is how they incorporating lyrics and music from several songs. Bad Romance, Toxic, Seven Nation Army just to make a few

This was by far my favorite part of the show. It made me feel like I was in a movie.
love the movie and every time we would see it I would say it needs to be live. just saw it in LA and it was different from the movie but i enjoyed it some lyrics were change but still good...wondered how they were gonna do the tango roxanne with the parallel scenes of them singing, chrisitian singing in the street, and satin going to the duke and they nailed it, want to see again and love that sonyah tayeh is the choreographer love her work since sytycd

Moulin Rogue is a Juke Box Musical so it's not wierd to see it from them
Can't believe they didn't spend millions to try and attract audiences with period accurate plinky piano numbers and soggy melodrama from 120 years ago that clashes in every way from it's namesake movie's style.

THE best show of this generation hands down! Much better than Hamilton for sure! This is one of the best musicals of all time and should be up there with the greats! I saw this live and have the soundtrack on repeat at home and never get tired of it. Truly a spectacle and wonder to behold!

Got to see this in Minneapolis a couple months back and it was fantastic. Of course my opinion may be biased as this is based off one of my favorite movies of all time.

I discovered the musical "by accident", in July '23 when I was in London for Bruce Springsteen's two concerts. I know London very well, so I was looking for something to do in the afternoon before the show in Hyde Park. I was thunderstruck, literally. I sang, danced, cried, and laughed like I haven't in years. and I'm almost 60 years old, 40 of which I spent traveling the world to see Bruce. I've seen the musicaln at least once a month since then. I live in Milan, get my ticket as soon as I have some time, leave by fly at 10 a.m. and arrive at 12 noon in London, headed to the Piccadilly Theatre for the 2:30 p.m. show and then at 8 p.m. fly back home. and or I will as long as it's on in London. see it, experience it, love it. it's just amazing!!! Hmm I was going to buy tickets so I'm glad I saw this because I now know its nothing like the movie with songs like 'Roxanne' are my favorite and it's just been replaced by a noughties mashup. No thanks but fab performance and dancing 👍 I'll wait to fly to London. The Back to the future one, which I wasn't thinking of seeing looks amazing though. So it's goods awareness having these shows displayed thanks BGT.
no they have new music but still the classics like 'roxanne' and 'your song'. I watched it a couple of weeks back in London and it was amazing. It is completely worth it.

I have to say that this is one of the few times I imagen how it would be and then finding the video it was very similar and even better then I ever imagen it. I mean, normally you get a mental imagen when you hear something for the first time and it's usually a bit off the original.
