When I lived in Virginia, my next door neighbor was a plank holder on the Wisconsin. He served on her throughout WWII. When the ship moved to Norfolk as a museum ship, we went on the tour. The pride and memories were plain to see on his face. He talked for hours about her, all the secrets places men would stash some booze, where to get the best view of a Pacific sunset, and so many more things. lol. I've always been a fan of the Iowa class ships. RIP Ben, you were a lovely gentleman, and a good man.
Yea, big wisky was well worth the grind, has guns that actually feels like 16" guns on a fast fast battleship. Enjoy.

I do like the ship building animations. Her hull was built on the Slipways next to the dry dock she was finished in. If you look on google earth you can still see where they used to be. They should have made Nimitz the special US Captain in the game. Halsey was carried by the better admirals he was over.
If you ever make a trip to the USA, it's absolutely worth making a trip to one of the BB's. NJ is the closest to NYC (which has the CV Intrepid) and you can also visit the armored cruiser Olympia across the Delaware river. Boston has the Constitution and a Fletcher class DD right there, very worth a visit and then the Salem further south and finally Mass. down in Battleship cove. Wisky is down in Virginia if you go to DC. If you're visiting further south there's NC, AL and TX depending (although they are very far away from each other while the Mass, NJ and WI are all Bos-Wash corridor). California has the Iowa and Midway while finally the most remote is the Missouri out in Honolulu... which is quite the flight.

It is not a myth that more range will give better accuracy. The max dispersion figure is fixed, so when you increase the range the max dispersion becomes for the new max range not the old lesser range. So the dispersion equation becomes stretched over a longer range. If your dispersion equation says your dispersion is 100m at 15km, and you increase range by 20%, the 100m dispersion becomes the value at 18km instead of 15km. So you get a slightly better dispersion across the range. It is really that impactful? It depends, if you have range mod and you have a spotter aircraft, you will start seeing better dispersion. And of course, if RNG decides you're getting nothing, you still get nothing.
This is false and easily testable.
When you put on a range mod it increases base dispersion factor. So if without at 15 km you had 100 m dispersion, then with range mod you would still have 100 m dispersion at 15 km, but your new dispersion factor would be something like 120 m at the new max range of 18 km.

Wisconsin is basically an Iowa with better accuracy on the guns, underwater citadel, a funny button that takes 2 full salvos to charge, and a pretty good heal. Already one of my favorite ships in game

Thank You Sir. Oh, I didn't get the Wisconsin(so sad), but I was born and raised there and very proud to see Her in WOW.
Back in early 90s when the Missouri was doing its west coast stop overs before going to Hawaii it stopped in San Diego. It docked at North island where the carriers usually dock. Me my dad went to a spot across the bay and even then the Missouri looked huge.
The fact that he did almost as much damage to planes as he did to ships is in and of itself insane

Run the AA module in the 3rd slot, you already have the turret speed increase skill on Halsey. Big Whiskey's AA becomes hell for planes after that. The Wisconsin is what the Iowa and Missouri should've been like in performance. They've since been power crept on very hard.
Edit: While the citadel is way below the waterline, Wisconsin can be seriously hurt if you're caught in a turn or flat broadside from plunging fire. Turning exposes her main deck which has light armor over the citadel between B and C turrets. I would recommend switching to a dynamic sight. It's easier to use for targeting ships at 12km for target speed adjustments. I get far better results using the dynamic over the static, especially with ships that have cruiser/battle cruiser dispersion and better than average sigma.
Thanks to already having WV '44 I was able to get this thing completely for free. Some missions were insanely grindy but worth it. This was probably the best dockyard iteration so far.

Dude, the terrain indicator was cycling off and on while you were rounding the corner on Rupprecht. Right before you fired #1 and #2 turrets, it came on. It was still on when you fired #3. Game told the truth...this time.

I picked this ship up, look forward to sailing her soon, I've been too sick for competitive games but at least I have something to look forward too. Watching to see how you equip it and play it. Thanks for the content.
Hopefully he learns to use the F key more offensively, I mean every time you hit enough shells you get another charge.

I liked how the other battleships were pushing close to you all the time, really helped for plane cover, otherwise gg for winning this with that mogador.
I love the ship - the accuracy really makes up for the otherwise slow shell velocity and the ships lower hp pool. Even though the ship has three guns less in comparison to Montana it still feels like it packs the same punch mid to long range and it is far better in nose-in situations

Hey Flambass. If you ever get a chance to visit over here in the United States, Then I would suggest visiting the USS Midway in San Diego Or the USS Iowa in the Los Angles harbor. Both are great museum ships and worth the time to come see them.

It's Iowa with more accurate and faster shells, a little more pen too + the main battery & consumable reload booster with the F-key.......what's not to like about it? :)
I really liked the MS-21 along with the Decepticon Camo's. Both were dope.
Wisconsin is basically everything I want in a BB and I realized that during the first game I had, where I was able to consistently hit and citadel a bow on Salem 27 km away.

The only warship I have been on is the USS Constitution the oldest still sailing vessel from the 18th century. I say still sailing because if you say the oldest from the 18th century that would be HMS Victory. Being 6'4" you really get a sense that people back then were not that tall on average because you have to duck down if you go below deck. It's quite the sight to see if you visit Boston which it can be found in the Charlestown Navy Yard. I was fortunate to have some gold left over from when I used the 100% return coupon, they give on your birthday months before when I bought Tirpitz to be able to buy the two stages. So, I didn't have to spend any additional money on doubloons to get Wisconsin.

You need to mix HE with this ship, the guns are so tight it sets alot of fires
Great vid as always! Was curious if the matchmaking ship breakdown, particularly the overwhelming number of battleships will result in nerfs or was that ridiculous number of BB's an anomaly? I've personally noticed a disproportionate number of BB's in my matchmaking, so I was wondering if you had any thoughts?

I got mine completely free, so did many other people.
For me they overtuned it. For how accurate the guns are (even at range which is painful for a cruiser player), it absolutely does not need combat instructions. Give it Ohio's quick acting heals if you want, but the boost to gun accuracy + consumable cooldown is totally cracked. As it stands Wisconsin is basically now the meta for TX bbs.
