Touhou Gathering With ZUN (Anime Expo 2016)

- Footage of the gathering that took place in Anime Expo 2016, featuring Zun himself taking part of it. I was cosplaying as Eiki Shiki, thus it was a bit hard to film at all, but this bit of footage I have is some of the best highlight moments. This also means I got to meet and take pictures with him, shown near the end (not to brag or anything, but I think I can die happily). Truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Credits to the authors of the images near the end, since I do not know who they are. All the videos before are mine. Music by JustSomeRandomMusician, including both his songs Nuclear Fusion and Phantom Drive Electro Remixes.
i wonder how zun must have felt seeing people dress up as the characters he created right before him :O

Of course he would be proud, he probably didn't expect that he has Western fanbase that's quite big.
@@HyperVanilo ik BeatMARIO is aware of it. Idk if ZUN does tho. I think he may by now, but don’t expect its pretty large. Maybe not as large as the main Japanese fanbase but it’s relatively large still

This seriously makes me emotional... back when I discovered Touhou in 2005, IN was the newest entry and it all was such an obscure fandom. No one back then could ever have imagined the creator visiting an anime convention in a Western country. Happy for everyone who got to meet him. :)

I wanted to let people know that I was the Miko cosplayer helping to organize and 'direct' this gathering! NISA contacted me about promoting and coming out to the gathering and of course I said sure! They also brought the guests in and I can tell you my heart was pounding so fast when ZUN-san came down those steps and stood right in front of me! It truly was an honor for all of us to be taking photos with him and I was told he also was having a great time! Thanks again to everyone who helped make this the best gathering!
Lucas Chang AAAA I wish I found Touhou 4 years earlier, I absolutely would have went to that event! It’s too bad that there probably won’t be more ZUN America visits, unless Touhou has a revival in popularity....

I'm not lying, I smiled the whole video long, being happy for all those Touhou fans finally being near their "creator", while wishing I could be there, once in my life as well
Does zun know English? I feel like if I was lucky enough to see him one day I probably couldn’t even tell him how much I love his work
He only knows a little bit of written english, which is why the guy with the megaphone speaking in English to him is pretty awkward
im pretty sure that to be a programmer you'd need to be able to atleast read english. since most programming languages are in english. so he most likely does know english.

Imagine if some of the cosplayers of Touhou has real and working things? What I meant is what if the Miko cosplayer has real headphones? What if the Hatate cosplayer has a real cellphone that look like in the game? etc.
I remember seeing a blog of someone's hatate cosplay, and they painted over a real flip phone.

I wasn't a cosplayer I was a person taking video. My autograph photo was ruined by the person who took it and the only thing that put me in the same room as ZUN was a really far away picture, so I kinda wanted something to cross reference to prove... yeah I was definitely there, I definitely saw ZUN
