For sure the only reason the Venom movies are even watchable is cause of Tom Hardy for whatever reason he’s really into the role and has fun with it
He certainly loves the character. After all, he’s creatively involved with the story of this film and the last one.
The thing I've loved so much about the venom movies is that in the comics, venom never really had a set personality or clear cut story like every other character does. He was actually made from a fan who asked for a black spiderman suit design back in 1930.
Spider-man 2 game does more justice to Venom than all three movies combined.

9:00-9:25 Jonathan has a good point. Venom was the only thing that worked in Sony’s Spider-Man universe so why would they get rid of him?
Maybe it’s exactly as John says. Maybe Sony realized that a Spider-Man and Venom story arc CANNOT work with this version of Venom no matter how much fans want it. As funny and entertaining Tom Hardy’s Venom is, his version is probably too silly to work in the same film as Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. Marvel is probably going to do something different with Venom if they ever plan to do that.
My main issue with the whole "WE ARE VENOM" thing is, they act like they havent done it before though. He literally said it at the end of venom 1 in sync. So I dont get why its like they are figuring out catch phrase

The question is whether Lord and Miller are interested in it. Because it seems they’re more interested in animation than live-action. What was the last time they did a live-action film?
Yeah, Venom was a goofball way back in the 90’s it was never super serious and these movies are fun, I don’t know why people want such a dark serious take on Venom which could honestly work but I think these movies work just fine the way they are
Exactly. People pretend Venom is supposed to be a serious character but he always looked too edgy to be taken seriously. These movies know exactly what they’re supposed to be and that’s a good thing.
Knull needs to be earned. It’s an epic story, but it needs the same level of set up as Thanos.

You are asking questions and trying to make sense of just really dumb decisions made by Sony. It’s not the same character from the MCU. Just poor casting. Sony doesn’t think they aimlessly release.

Rhys Ifans appears in the trailer. Is he playing Curt Connors? Hardly BUT, something came to my mind. He appears on a scene with a family and he has both arms. There are some rumors that this movie will feature a kid Peter Parker. So, what if, that is indeed Rhys Ifans as Connors and Peter family, either his parents or uncle and aunt and this Venom trilogy has secretly being a prequel to The Amazing Spider-Man all along? It's so crazy to think about it but I do think it's something Sony would do.
Wouldn't work out since curt lost his arm before starting to work with Peter's dad, in which his goal was to get his arm back. Then after pete's parents left, connors distanced himself

The sad truth might be that Sony doesn't care about the continuity and just treats the bar scene as being in their universe. After the messy, nonsensical end credit sequence of Morbius, I wouldn't put it pass them to be guilty of "just not paying attention."

People keep saying that Venom is a goof ball in the comics so it’s okay that he’s an idiot in the movies. I highly disagree. This take on Venom sucks. When Todd Mcfarlene created Venom the character was imposing and scary. He was the greatest threat spider man ever faced. Now he’s a dummy who belongs in the three stooges movies. Not for me. I want a mature bloody and brutal version of the character. I’ll go “have fun” with Godzilla x Kong rather than this stinking pile of a franchise.

I think it’s an okay trailer. I’m excited but it was too long and explained too much. It should’ve ended after the military is revealed and the beginning was so dumb it almost took me out. The horse was amazing lol.

I think the bar scene could go like this.
Venom appears back to his universe.
They both leave the bar,
A symbiote lands near the bar and sense venom is there so it goes there.
Mordor actor hears that eddie is near the bar and goes to check it out.
The symbiote stays in the same place where venom would have been. And the bar tender sees a goo moving so he sees it and is about to touch it.
Mordor actor sees he’s that the bartender is about to touch it and then he covers it over with the glass.
I was never really a fan of how they handled the suit. I guess I was looking for something more along the lines of what Spider-Man has where he can takeoff the mask and such, sure you can use CGI to make it look alive, but it seems odd to me that Tom Hardy never wore a suit.

Loved it, the we are venom is a spin on the comics where he was no personality as opposed to in the movies where he's an intelligent alien, a superior change.
To me the venom movies are the absolute definition of disposable nonsense. I've only ever watched them once and have absolutely no desire to watch them again.

Its more likely they are positioning him to be in a Spider-Man movie. He's technically anchored to two Earths, with part of him still in the MCU Earth. If they passed up the chance for a Holland vs Venom OR team up movie they'd be crazy.
So this is his Last Dance on his Earth. How better to escape his home world if not for Eddie and Venom to permantnly jump Earths.

The bar they are referring to is not the same one in No Way Home. It's the Venom-verse equivalent of the bar. When Eddie/Venom went into the MCU briefly, they went from their hotel in their universe to the MCU hotel which is somewhere far more tropical. Eddie then goes to the bar in the MCU which is more tropical than the bar in the trailer before being carted back to his own universe. I think that Eddie re-appears in a bar in his own universe and leaves a bit more symbiote behind and that's what the soldier finds.
I agree because the bar tender in the venom verse is drinking at the bar, so i guess he is a variant of the bar tender but instead of working he is a drunk customer

I agree with John here. Tom hardy really make those movies. I think the trailer looks good. I hope he makes it into the mcu. I’ll be very disappointed if they recast.
I think when Eddie was transported back to the Sony verse a piece of the symbiote was left on the Sony bar as well. The bar is a little bit different and the bartender although the same actor looks a bit different than the MCU bartender.
I think it’ll be better than venom 2. I hope it gets more serious with light sprinkles of funny.
They could kill them both. If they left a piece of venom in the mcu they could kill both off then the mcu venom could go find the mcu Eddie Brock and boom done. Now it’s reset.
Public in MCU might not know who Karl Mordo is or what he looks like so they won't be confused when they see Ejiofor character walks in to the bar in US military uniform but the bartender from that Venom scene from Spiderman No Way Home is in Venom 3 but I don't think this the last we see Venom they might go with Harry Osborn as Venom against Tom Holland Spiderman
These movies are comedically driven. I’d rather see a more serious venom character if we ever get it in the MCU. Just give me the OG King in Black storyline pls

Some may think this trailer looks corny but I think this movie is going to be surprisingly good.
There's rumor of a R rated Venom movie being made by Seth Rogan. I like , well hope that Venom 3 is the end of an era for Sony. Cause MCU gave them a clear sign that they only want Spiderman, not their crappy version of Venom that they can't really do anything with. Hopefully they start to take more risks.
The first Venom was a bad 90s film in the best way. Second was still amusing, but not quite as enjoyable. This looks at least nuts enough to be entertaining.
They are going to put in Null and mess it up
One thing I disagree with is the “we are venom” part. Here’s why they did it great at the end of Venom 1. Then when Eddie says in this trailer “we need to work on that”. For continuity reasons I don’t like that. I get it though it’s funny. Haha, but maybe he’ll add in the line “come on man we had it down the first time”. Then I’ll let it slide.
