3 Things That are Making Your House Look Cheap- here are 3 Home Decor mistakes happing in many people's homes right now! These are easily avoidable and fixable mistakes.
As a kid who never had a fridge, it would've meant the world to me to see something I made my parents proudly displayed on purpose for my parents to see constantly
@@mojisolashabi I agree. That would restore faith in humanity and the truth that the majority aren’t as far apart as the media wants us to believe. Having stuff on your fridge doesn’t make your house look cheap. It shows you care about your children and display their art because you want to give them a sense of accomplishment. I display my grandchildren’s artwork proudly and my house my beautiful.
I agree. People who want to tell people how their house looks cheap - why? Load up the frig with that art! Does not look cheap - it shows there is life in that home.
Bruh imagine your kids watch you take there art off the fridge cuz they think it’s too ugly for guests? If people are ganna come and look at your house and be like “so cheap oh my gosh” then tell them they can leave
This is the problem with modern American homes. Everyone’s obsessed with making their home always look ready to be sold at any moment. Enjoy your house. Live in it. Decorate it to your taste, and don’t worry about what some future kajillionaire buyer will think of your interior decoration.
I think people were happier when homes were colorful and lived in now its trending for homes to look bare and cold, modern homes are just fancier prison cells.
Agreed best to ask so you don't have to deal with the consequences. There are renter freindly hacks or times they let you do more or unfurnished apartments that offer more choice ( unfurnished, but with big white goods is what me and my friend as students end up getting and are soon to move into).
Cou can use a pvc channel thats 0.5 by 1 inches in measurements to hide your cables. There are even shallower options with glue strips on the backside.

Don't recommend channel. - - That is like saying a wardrobe look cheaps because it is being used, to improve it leave everything at the store; skin looks cheap remain a baby, car looks cheap leave them at the manufacturer for a more luxurious appearance. - Absolutely ridiculous.".
Me too. That's like someone coming Tommy flat, and saying "I don't like the colours that you've painted the walls". If my flat isn't being sold, then it doesn't need to look like a showhome. I do like it to look nice, but not to the point where I'm pleasing others. I choose which colour schemes I want in the rooms of my own apartment. Choosing my own colour schemes for each room, and buying the stoff for my apartment that I like the look of, I feel way happier when it's my own choice. If I decided to please others instead of myself, by painting all of the rooms walls white, or whatever the latest trend is, in home decor, it would not be pleasing to my eyes. As long as it's your own home, then yes, you have personal choice. Others can't dictate when it ain't their own place.
yeah i remembered when my family moved into a new home, it was fresh clean, white, “aesthetic”. But after a while we added random decorations that “ totally” fit the color scheme lmao It wasn’t pretty, but it felt more comfortable and more like home.

me personally i love it when i go to peoples houses and they have a ton of stuff on their fridge. you can learn a lot about a person when they have photos from their family or magnets from places theyve lived, etc. i always have stuff on my fridge and it makes our house a home.
@@calisongbirdbut the kids feelings are much more important! A neat fridge is less less valuable than a child knowing that his/her parents love the accomplishments, art, etc. that their children make!

Wow!! I love this!! As someone who gets overstimulated by mess and clutter these are great ways to reduce that. But a few things 1. You don’t need to cut a hole to hide cords on a mounted TV, there are white cord strip stickers on Amazon 2. There could be a special place on the home for kids drawings (not the fridge, maybe a wall) with a cute little frame. 3. There’s nothing wrong with keeping visual clutter to a minimum while keeping your home warm and comfy. A balance is necessary! Not so clean it’s stale but not so messy and cluttered that it causes anxiety
I am keeping my kids art on my fridge lol if a guest comes over and that’s what bothers them and they think I’m “cheap” they can leave out of my life 😂

@@mmc9828 I have 20 magnets on my fridge to hang up pictures, family photos, lists, wedding invitations, etc. I really don’t care if you don’t understand what it is like to keep memories on your fridge.
Imagine having to tell your kids that you can have there art on the fridge bc your insecure abt what ppl think of on your house and if it’s expensive or not. It doesn’t make it looks cheap it js shows how much you care for your kids and appreciate what they do
we all want our house to look good, but girl if u have children you can't avoid the messy looking or make your house look cheap because of all the stuff they did. Don't advise people if you are not in the situation.
Try telling this to my parents, tv always on playing random music, clutter all over, out fridge is overflowing with art and random stuff, cords are all over, remember your not gonna remember what your house looked like 2 years ago but you will remember the memories. Live life and stop worrying about all this. Memories matter looks don’t.
Honey I live in military housing…if we put holes in the wall we could potentially get on a do not rent too list and that means the next duty station we go too we won’t have housing. 😂😂😂😂 So that’s a no go. Also since we only live in the house for 3 years the cords are the least of our problems. 😂
I agree. Cheap is probably not the right word. It's more that it's not visually inviting. Of course, some people really like to live in a mess and call it "lived in."
Don’t listen to anyone about how your house looks. Make it look like how you want and what makes you comfortable. If anyone tells you different they can leave your house.
Okay but like it means so much when our parents put our A+ tests on the fridge and those letters on the fridge are cute and nostalgic . Guests come once in a while and you are gonna be the one in your home all the time so decorate it according to you comfort and be happy in your style 😊
Exactly! My boys use to happily bring the things they worked so hard at in school and I was that proud mom putting their work on our fridge to display it.
Not the “cheap-side” having the worst camera quality, bad lighting, and then the more “expensive” side, having perfect lighting and better camera quality. Girl, you can’t be giving me false tips
Ok, so all I need to to is make my house look like a sickeningly modern sad beige mom house with so little clutter that it looks like nobody’s set a foot in it. I can totally do that
For those who are confused she wants the house to look vacant and like a white middle age man lives there with his cat as his only friend. Hope this helped❤
Hey everyone....just do your thing and don't worry about it. The best bet to have a comfy space that people will enjoy being in is to have it be CLEAN and smell nice. Not smell nice as in lots of headache inducing air fresheners but smell nice as in clean and cozy. I have lived in all kinds of dwellings....from a little mobile home to 3 story victorian to small apartment to large expensive places and I can tell you that none of that mattered to anyone who visited me because they always felt relaxed and comfortable due to lack of clutter and a clean inviting space.
Why would I take my children's art off the fridge cause "it makes my house look cheap" my kids don't deserve to think their mom hates their artwork it's just sad
Honestly some people don’t even have a TV nor Fridge so anybody who is about to change it please don’t it’s your house you pay the bills, she doesn’t. Don’t always take peoples advice you are who you wanna be
I have aspergers, and anyone with aspergers and autism, will agree that the condition, makes you attracted to colourful things. I love colours in pastel shades. That's just me and my aspergers. I will never apologize for it to anyone. 😊
I actually thought this would be good advice as someone who’s about to live alone with no roommates but I was utterly disappointed. This is great for minimalism but having a “lived in” look doesn’t make your home look cheap, it looks like people live in it. Rename the video.
I live in a 4 story Victorian that costed 6 grand, I don’t think anybody would even care about my clutter in my house. That just means that you live there and are comfy in the space. 😁
I’d rather my house look “cheap” if it means I would need to even consider removing my child’s art from the fridge. It’s there so everyone can see it, even guests. A home that looks lived in is totally fine. Some people care way too much about what other people think.
how does your house being messy make you look cheap I bet the most richest people house have a little mess and having stuff on your fridge now makes you look Cheap this generation is..... 😮💨
What are those goofy ahh, Boombastic expressions you were making in the first clip of the video?😂😂😂 people live the way you like don’t be told how to live👍
I feel like this is the most sensitive option. Doing improvement work for free for your landlord when you are living there temporarily is not advisable
Fair enough, having cords hidden looks nicer and is maybe even safer for children or pets. But the other two are just removing any proof that you live there- especially the fridge. My fridge has drawings and paintings me and my younger sister did when we were little and pretty magnets and pictures from holidays and first days of school- I’d rather my house looked cheap but full of happy memories than a blank emotionless one
Kindly, this is for people who WANT home advice. People that want to update their homes. People are so soft nowadays. Yall act like shes pointing right at you saying," this is for YOU!" The world doesnt revolve around everyones emotions. You can just not take her advice and thats that. I appreciate the tips!
Oh yes telling people to put holes in their landlords walls is such good advice.aybe she can pay for a good lawyer when those people are sued. And she said EVERYONE. Meaning she is telling EVERYONE their homes are cheap with these things in it. That means EVERYONE has the right to tell her to take her discount Walmart sweater wearing ass and shove it. Looks like your the snowflake thats butt hurt because nobody cares enough about your shallow ass opinions about their homes.
The one about the fridge is so grating and annoying and I don’t even want kids It’s: what matters more: making your house look “expensive” or making your house a lived in home that guests can see the love, care, and life fostered in it NEVER be ashamed of the stuff that points to you loving your family Clutter is whatever. Who cares? But if you are particular about looking put together in front of guests, sure, clean it up, but this is your home. You’re allowed to have jackets hanging off the couch. It’s ok But I agree on the wires one. Using “cheap” is condescending and weirdly classist but it does look bad and has no benefit or added value by looking like that, but girly, stop pushing people to have to do damage deposit on rental properties. Their best option is electrical tape that matches the wall color (put all the wires together and tape over them. Don’t kink the wires when you do this)
As a kid who never had a fridge, it would've meant the world to me to see something I made my parents proudly displayed on purpose for my parents to see constantly

You know what actually makes it look Cheap you in it
Honey I live in military housing…if we put holes in the wall we could potentially get on a do not rent too list and that means the next duty station we go too we won’t have housing. 😂😂😂😂 So that’s a no go. Also since we only live in the house for 3 years the cords are the least of our problems. 😂
agreed but ok and? be homeless, like your victims, if they’re still alive…
a bigger problem should be the fact you don’t have functioning heart&brain or respect, understanding, compassion, empathy, etc…
@@CassxowaryYou are delusional
Cheap is not a bad word, and these problems do not make it look cheap but rather unfinished or unorganized
I agree. Cheap is probably not the right word. It's more that it's not visually inviting. Of course, some people really like to live in a mess and call it "lived in."
@@loriar1027 stfu from some wires showing!?? It's NOT a snow room but you acting like it's a horribe mess?!😂😂 stupid pleb
I guarantee you, most people don’t walk into their friends’ houses and say, “wow this place looks so cheap!”
Of course. 😊
@@fitnessgoals8039 and trust me these lil things are what they are going to remember for the rest of their life 💕
Not the “cheap-side” having the worst camera quality, bad lighting, and then the more “expensive” side, having perfect lighting and better camera quality.
Girl, you can’t be giving me false tips
Ok, so all I need to to is make my house look like a sickeningly modern sad beige mom house with so little clutter that it looks like nobody’s set a foot in it. I can totally do that
😂
For those who are confused she wants the house to look vacant and like a white middle age man lives there with his cat as his only friend. Hope this helped❤
Naw not even the cat is gonna be allowed in those white prison cells
Karen Alert!!! Just because you actually have childhood memories on that fridge - you know nvm its just looks rlly 'cheeaaaaaaaapppp'
I would rather live in a house that looks cheap than one that doesn’t feel like home
Ok but the fridge is sweet with all your babies art work, it’s home not a show room, it’s going to be lived in
My baby’s drawing will forever remain on my fridge! Idc idc idc 😂😂😂 Glad I don’t let these types of people in my home anyway
So basically, be a sad beige mom
Yep that pretty much covers it🤣😭
Why would I take my children's art off the fridge cause "it makes my house look cheap" my kids don't deserve to think their mom hates their artwork it's just sad
*me who just wants a house and would literally be okay with an actually cheap living arrangement lol *
Nada wrong with that.
Nothing cheapens your home more than it looking like you live in it.....
Things that are making your house look cheap:
Number 1. Any signs of human life, apparently…
LOL
This woman looks like an escaped convict
Girl stop just stop it’s rude to say people’s houses look cheap tbh I would personally pick to look cheap than listen to this.
Nobody said they wanted a nice unlived in house- 💀
Aka a house that has no life and isn’t lived in. Truly a Kim K. inspired house.
I actually thought this would be good advice as someone who’s about to live alone with no roommates but I was utterly disappointed. This is great for minimalism but having a “lived in” look doesn’t make your home look cheap, it looks like people live in it. Rename the video.
”I shall take this woman’s advice… *cuts the wall, puts another wall over the chords*…why isn’t my TV turning on?”
I live in a 4 story Victorian that costed 6 grand, I don’t think anybody would even care about my clutter in my house. That just means that you live there and are comfy in the space. 😁
"Ugh, kids stuff.. just throw it in the trash to have 100 dollars more in your house value!!!! "
Not really cheap, just messy you mean
1. Cords showing
2. Clean up fridge
3. Declutter
I’d rather my house look “cheap” if it means I would need to even consider removing my child’s art from the fridge. It’s there so everyone can see it, even guests. A home that looks lived in is totally fine. Some people care way too much about what other people think.
Imagine your kid finding out that their drawings on the fridge are too ugly for anyone to see 💀💀
how does your house being messy make you look cheap I bet the most richest people house have a little mess and having stuff on your fridge now makes you look Cheap this generation is..... 😮💨
Doesn't everyone know your house can't look lived in? 😔
looking “cheap” makes your place look like it has more personality and memories put into it
But those cheap things makes my house a home
What are those goofy ahh, Boombastic expressions you were making in the first clip of the video?😂😂😂 people live the way you like don’t be told how to live👍
OMG I was literally scrolling through these comments to find one like this! you read my mind. This comment is underated and needs more liks bro
There's also cord covers...
I feel like this is the most sensitive option. Doing improvement work for free for your landlord when you are living there temporarily is not advisable
@@direfulkhakijaguar7306
Or even permanently
Imagine throwing your kids art away because you want to look modern
I couldn't do that if I had kids. I just couldn't do it to them. I'd be disappointed with myself if I did that. 😢
I always found it so sweet, when my younger sister's, brought their artwork home from school, and mum stick it onto the fridge. I think it's cute. 😊
well it’s not “cheap” it’s just untidy? like it’s literally two different things
Girl these are things that make the house a home. Would hate to see how unlovely your house is
I love this
Fair enough, having cords hidden looks nicer and is maybe even safer for children or pets. But the other two are just removing any proof that you live there- especially the fridge. My fridge has drawings and paintings me and my younger sister did when we were little and pretty magnets and pictures from holidays and first days of school- I’d rather my house looked cheap but full of happy memories than a blank emotionless one
Honestly kinda rude saying ur house looking cheep with those things like all u need is shelter u don’t need to make it expensive unless u want to :/
Blood really wants us to have our house robbed
Kindly, this is for people who WANT home advice. People that want to update their homes. People are so soft nowadays. Yall act like shes pointing right at you saying," this is for YOU!" The world doesnt revolve around everyones emotions. You can just not take her advice and thats that. I appreciate the tips!
@@gordel30 ❤️🙏
Oh yes telling people to put holes in their landlords walls is such good advice.aybe she can pay for a good lawyer when those people are sued. And she said EVERYONE. Meaning she is telling EVERYONE their homes are cheap with these things in it. That means EVERYONE has the right to tell her to take her discount Walmart sweater wearing ass and shove it. Looks like your the snowflake thats butt hurt because nobody cares enough about your shallow ass opinions about their homes.
Ikr? So many triggered people over a random woman on CZcams 🤣
The one about the fridge is so grating and annoying and I don’t even want kids
It’s: what matters more: making your house look “expensive” or making your house a lived in home that guests can see the love, care, and life fostered in it
NEVER be ashamed of the stuff that points to you loving your family
Clutter is whatever. Who cares? But if you are particular about looking put together in front of guests, sure, clean it up, but this is your home. You’re allowed to have jackets hanging off the couch. It’s ok
But I agree on the wires one.
