I love how weirdly competitive this was, like you each literally built and manufactured your respective mixers 😂 Love this crew!
I know Im only a few minutes in and I’m laughing my ass off 😂😂
Haha to be fair I get like that with friends too. One of my friends has a Bosh MUM, the other has a KitchenAid and I have a Kenwood Chef. Whenever we talk about baking it ends up in a competition which is silly because OBVIOUSLY my Kenwood takes the cake :P
My daughter loves baking and a few years ago i got her a kitchen aid mixer in almond cream for Christmas, she proudly shows it off on her kitchen counter so i got her the matching food processor and thermal kettle
Can I be your daughter as well please
I'd like to be adopted please
@@sylvieseguin9057 ha ha ha
How lucky is she?!
Wow. My mother got me the EXACT same thing for Christmas
Our poor Kitchenaid has endured years and years of 100-500 cookie orders and cakes and it's still going strong! I love that mixer and I wish to everyone who love baking to be blessed with a Kitchenaid on their counter ❤
Don't forget a Kitchenaid can be bought used for a fraction of the price... just plug it in & run it, if it smells fine, it'll work 4 you at home.
Besides, they're pretty cheap to rebuild... LOL
Please test an ankarsrum too🙂
I have my late aunt’s Kitchenaid which is over 60 years old. It runs as if I bought it yesterday.
Janine Lew I know people who’ve had theirs for several decades too. I got mine about 8 years ago. Looking forward to many long years with it.
I have 4 kitchenaid mixers my oldest one is from 1941, then I have 2 6 quart professional models, one is a pro HD, and the last one is a tilt head with no bowl or attachments (my sweetie picked that one up at a yard sale for 10 bucks ) that I mostly use for my pasta attachments and the meat grinder and sausage stuffer
I just gifted my mom's first Kitchenaid to my son. it's at least 40 years old and works just as well as my much newer model.
It makes me sad that the "new" ones aren't made nearly as sturdy as the ones from say the 40's.
Waouw! I'm so impressed ! She sure took good care of it ! My first one broke after 1 year of use, i bought it while i was in pastry school, i felt like i was not a beginner who mis-used it ( sister and mum are pastry too)
My retailer finally agreed to exchange it after 4 years because it would break once a year. The new one looks ok now but i still have 2 other brands stand mixer that i use from time to time
It's taken me a while to get round to watching this video because I could see it was quite long and also wasn't thinking of buying a mixer, but now I've watched it, I have to say what a great video this is. The quality of content on the cupcake jemma channel just keeps getting better and better. The whole team at crumbs and doilies really care about the subscribers and I really appreciate the effort you all put in to making entertaining and informative videos. Thank you.
I have had my Kenwood since 1976. It was used daily for 30 years and I still use it a couple of times a month.
I absolutely loved your reviews of the mixers! I have the artisan but in my cooking school they have the kenwood so I was comforted to hear all the same plus/minus of each, and I really appreciated that while you had your preferences at the end you gave objective reviews in the conclusions. Very pro guys thanks!
What would you say is best? Kenwood titanium or kitchen aid artisan?
I would love to see an update as to how well the machines have done after a year.
My kitchen aid has been used for 35 years and is still working as good as the day it was bought
@@CrimsonArchon Which means absolutely nothing today. Your Kitchenaid was made 35 years ago when appliances were made to last. What about the new models? I would love to see someone disassemble a 35 year old Kitchenaide and compare it to a current new disassembled Kitchenaide. I would like to see if the same quality parts are used. I've seen many online complaints that Kitchenaide no longer builds to last. Though I wonder if the lesser quality ones are the ones Wal-Mart sells. Sometimes brands sell inferior products to Wal-Mart to sell. I know HP did with their computers. Also, there could be counterfeit look alikes. Never buy name brand on Amazon. Too many 3rd party sellers there.
Yes that wluld be super!
I e had my kitchen aid 6 years and it’s just amazing , it’s in use all the time as I’m a cake maker , can’t speak highly enough , better than my last mixer which was a kenwood , feels sturdier , and copes with anything !
@@CrimsonArchon .
I have been waiting for years and years for a Kmix vs Artisan review. Love love LOVE it Guys!!!!!
learnt so much about stand mixers! Amazing video, as always! I am amazed at how you guys have managed to stay relevant over all these years (I started following you in 2014)
Great review! I've had a KitchenAid Artisan for about 10 years and love it. Only thing I thought you missed was making a bread dough with the hook. It would have been nice to see how they compared on that.
I have had my Kenwood for 32 years and it is still going strong. Here in Australia. I have used it heaps over the years .
Yes mine is also 30 over years old! It’s made in UK. But the ones in the shops now r made in China! The quality is not the same!
@@bania6180 Their top of the range Kenwood Chef mixers are top quality but you do also cost a premium.
This was SUPER helpful! Especially the actual noise levels for each machine as it's a big concern for me and it was the main thing I was looking for in this video! Thank you so much, guys! ❤️
I've just received my candy pink kitchen aid in a delivery.... I absolutely love it ❤️ it's so powerful too 💖
Thanks guys, that was very informative. I look forward to seeing you review other kitchen equipment. I personally have a Kenwood, which came with a splash guard (very useful) and silicon edged paddle. I bought this as my previous Kenwood lasted over 30 years, medium usage. All the extras such as a grater, food processor, mincer and liquidser bought to go with the old mixer also fit the new machine. I love your tutorials and have learnt a lot.
I've had my kitchen aid for 10 years and it's still going strong. Thanks for the video I have wondered what other brands are similar to the kitchen aid. Great information!
Well girls and boys, I’ll be honest, I couldn’t live without my kitchenaid ok it’s really really old and it’s been repaired loads of times, but I still love it, best think they have ever made, iv really enjoyed this , especially watching you all get them out of the boxes last week , love you all xxxx heather
I also have to say that this video is extremely useful. Thank you and your team for the effort put in to give us an idea of which mixer to choose.
I loved baking ever since I was little. When I turned 16, the only present i got was a combo gift from all my family - a small kitchen aid! It’s been 14 years and never had an issue. It’s amazing and I use it all the time. Such a fun video!
This was a great review, well done.
I’ve just purchased a KMix (picking it up tomorrow), so this has really helped to set my expectations, thank you 😊
wwwooooowoooo, thanks to all of you, now I know that my kitchen aid is the best for mi. I used it only for my house but I had questions about the other two. thanks to all of you love your channel and to see you, you inspire me to bake. God Bless all of you and your love ones. ; )
Even though I have a KitchenAid I was still interested in hearing your thoughts on other brands. Good job you guys.
Thanks! 🙌🏻
thanks for the video, I found it really helpful even though I bought my kmix half a year ago. back then I searched for a video like this because I wasn't sure if I should choose between the kitchen aid or mix. now after testing the kmix for a while I'm really happy with my decision. and the video showed me again that the kmix was the right one for me. I think it will be very helpful for many bakers out there which are in the same position as I were. thanks Jemma for inspiring me to bake, I really fell in love with my new hobby!
Kitchenaid has always interested me, and I love the idea with that special paddle! I use a SMEG stand mixer and I adore it. It's basically on the same level as a Kitchenaid in terms of quality and performance, and has a whole bunch of attachments that can be used. I personally love using the pasta attachment for making spaghetti!
Ugh thats my colorrrrrr. Ive been eyeing it for easily 8 years. I just need to get one already 🤪😍
I've had an Aucma mixer for 6 years now, been used roughly once a week so it's been used but not overly intensive, no damage to it at all. As you say it's a little tricky to clean and the older model you are able to trap fingers in when putting the top down. For the £80 if I had to replace every 6-10years I'd still say it's a pretty good hard wearing machine.
Nice comparisons, I would have loved to see how the dough hooks work, especially since they are in the three different major shapes; the KitchenAid’s “C” shaped dough hook, the Kmix’s spiral dough hook, and the Aucma’s “J” shaped dough hook. I reckon a yeast dough test would really be an interesting one to see.
Yes, I agree. Bread dough has been the downfall of many a machine.
If you make dough in small batches aucmas J shapes worked pretty well. I found that if my dough ball was any larger than 3 or 4 cups the dough would move onto the top of the attachment and eventually get in the attaching part of the hook and the slings which got annoying fast. It made me really want the kitchen aid since their attachment thought about that and blocks out the dough from touching anything that it doesn’t need to
@@flowergod12 The kenwood attachments also have that disc at the top to prevent this. If you can afford them, the Kenwood Chef range of mixers are the best.
I have been considering the Aucma for a while now due its affordability. Do you find that the ingredient's get stuck to the outer edges of the bowl? Cause I like the scraper paddle offered b Kitchenaid.
Yeah, dough is the critical thing. I can say the KMix handles my pizza dough needs well, it'll take about 1.5KG but not sure if that's a 1000W thing.
I just purchased online the Kenwood Chef XL because my exisiting Kenwood Chef XL from over 30 years ago is starting to show signs that it is going to breakdown anytime now. It was passed over to me from my mom. Hope the new one will last as long as the old ones.
i've been using my kenwood chef xl for a few months now and i absolutely love it! especially the LED light and how it illuminates whatever i'm baking
I have the kenwood chef XL. Its really great but I did have to get my first one replaced (for free by John Lewis) because it overheated when making bread I was only kneading it for about 10mins. This was over a year of having it. The metal notch where the attachments go in massively over heated (it could burn your hand) and the top of the machine was hot but not so hot that you'd be worried about it. I'd describe it as warm. I only noticed that the metal notch was burning hot when I smelt a burnt plastic smell. The plastic around the notch where the attachments go in had melted from the heat of the metal! But thankfully the whole machine got replaced.
My old Kenwood was such a workhorse and lasted 37 years. It finally went up in smoke!
I wish that said more about the Kenwood model and the Wattage of the mixers.
I would have just fixed it. Everything in a kenwood is fixable/replaceable .
Really enjoyed your video guys. Love the review. So sweet how Sally looks at Dane with such pride when he's talking 😌
Loved this! I got a kitchenaid artisan for christmas last year! I’ve been absolutely loving it!!
I’m getting quite serious into baking but I am struggling with a few things like developping recipes, time management and things like how to start being a home baker! I also have a fulltime job in a supermarket and I’m still going to school! So I’m often very busy. Could you maybe do a video on starting a buisiness from home? 😇
Honestly, just love you guys. Great to see you having some fun and giving us some laughs in this apocalypse
I have only ever used my mothers KitchenAid that she got as a wedding gift. it is still going strong after 23 years
would be really surprised if the KitchenAid of today was able to still work in 23 years. Lucky you!
@@bleumarin1968 it is from 1997
23 years! That’s crazy good!
Ive had my Kitchenaid for 2 years and hopefully mine will many more years. Great to hear. 👍🏻
I use my mom’s when I go back home and I have the fancy lifting KitchenAid one and hers is way better...and it is over 30 years old.
I bought a kitchenaid last month, thank you for justifying my choice 😂 I the artisan in red on special offer for €380 euro so keep an eye on the sales if you don’t mind what colour kitchenaid you get
I have the KitchenAid but was so excited to see this review. Thank you!
So useful! Thank you for taking the time and for sharing such a complete review. It was great to see them working and most of all, to hear them!
I bought my first KitchenAid a good few weeks back. I became inspired by Jemma's bakes and gained more confidence in myself when it came to baking so I knew it was about time that I invested in one and I love it🥰 It was a good bit cheaper than Jemma's one, on sale in a local shop but I like that even though I don't have the extra attachment like Jemma or the bowls, I have the option to get them. Prior to it I had a cheap style one like Dane's that I bought in Aldi and also similar to Dane's, it worked very well for small scale bakes and cookies but as I wanted to expand my baking ability I knew I had to change my mixer & I am in love with it😍 My fiancee convinced me to get it and I'm glad she did 🤗 She also bought me my Cupcake Jemma book😊 Having said all that my Nan is an old school, traditinal, Irish nanny baker who has had a Kenwood for years and she has never had a problem with it. They are all good and serve their purpose in their own right😍 Thanks for the video, always puts a smile on my face to watch you guys, love to see Nikki in more videos, her & Dane are hilarious 😅 Take care and be safe thanks for everything that you and all the C&D gang do to make life full of colour and batter😊😋♥️♥️ ♥️KitchenAid Love 😍♥️
I love my kMix glass bowl, it means I can see when things aren't quite mixed in and it's really durable. I've had mine years and it hasn't broken and I have the scraper paddle attachment which is amazing!
Same and also you can put it in the dishwasher just like the metal one.
As much as I would want kitchen aid that to much money for me. That my month salary. Thank you for showing that you can get one cheaper and its works
Keep an eye out, there are occasionally deals that bring them right down in price. Also sometimes you can get them in a colour that no one else seems to want for a much cheaper price. Got mine about a year and a half ago. Originally wanted it in candy apple red but in a pastel blue it was £100 cheaper. Bought it in the blue and don't regret it
If you are in the US you can get one on sale for $199
Sounds like you need a better job.
But hey, never forget we lasted thousands of years baking without mixers.
Keep an eye on amazon I got a 6qrt at 250USD when the normal price is around 450 - 600 . If you live in the states target and Walmart have them for about 220 (that is the classic one)
Classic and Artisan are 2 different models. Different motors and different size bowl capacity. If course different prices.
Thank you so much for your review. I have been contemplating getting a new mixer and this will help with my decision. I do bake quite frequently especially your chocolate cupcake recipe! I have had my KitchenAid mixer since 1995. It is still going strong!
I love your style, love your way of testing and the way you discuss your experiences. It's fun to watch the video, there's a whole lot of information and - which is not easy to produce - it helps anyone with her decision. This is without any doubt the best kitchen stand mixer review I found in CZcams so far, and it seems to be the most practical and real world relatable at the same time. Thank you so much, best wishes from Germany
I would love to see how each mixer fairs with bread making and kneading! I use my mom's Kitchen-aid and love it, but I would be more likely to purchase the cheaper brand for myself. I'm curious how the plastic would hold up to some rigorous dough mixing! You also mentioned how the powder coated Kitchen-aid beaters might fleck off over time: we've had ours for maybe 5/6 years and the paint does chip off.
My KitchenAid bowl lift mixer with all of it's attachments is my most precious power tool! If there was a rule that said I could have only one kitchen appliance, this would be it. It's about 35 years old and still going strong. 💖
I have been waiting for one of these kind of comparison videos though since I was thinking of getting a kitchen aid I was wondering about the differences between the models. I appreciate whoever it was that decided to match the food colouring and spoons to the mixers. I like details like that :D
Such a fun yet information-packed product review! Thanks so much - have been thinking about buying a stand mixer for years and this will help my decision!
“It’s a race to the peaks, let’s goooooo!”🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
I love that dance studio Dane just came out of nowhere 😂
I loved this! I had to rewind and watch that bit again. :P
lesssgoooo!
I got the Aucma about a year ago and on seeing the thumbnail for this I was surprisingly defensive about my little mixer, it may be cheap but it gets the job done!
I've got the exact same colour and everything!
I would love a Kitchen Aid but I don't bake quite enough to justify the expense - but it's on the wishlist for another time!
Lol same I love my mixer and it is rather good for its price I got one for my birthday almost 2 years ago although I wish it was easier to find parts for it
I have one as well and i love it. For that price what a bargain. What parts of your mixer broke?
@@johnoni5166 none of them did but if I am marking multiple things with is it sucks to have to wash the bowl and attachments in between
This was SO informative! I love watching your videos! I purchased a Majestic Yellow Kitchen Aid last week and am waiting on it to be delivered! I'm so glad this confirms my quality purchase 💛
I bought a KitchenAid Artisan about 15 years ago and it still works fantastic! My mom had the KitchenAid Proline which is about 25 years old. When she passed away in 2016, I got her Pro and gave my sister the Artisan. Both work great, but I found the Artisan to rattled a little while mixing cookie dough. So I am really happy to have more power. Thank you guys for your informative demonstration of different stand mixers! I have to say I love the color of Dane’s robin egg blue and Jemma’s pistachio green (which is the same Artisan I had). My mixer is dark gray and it matches my soap stone counter tops. I love it even if it isn’t a pretty color.
I absolutely loved this style of video!! I really needed a good quality review on these mixers and this has definitely helped! Thank you very much! I would love to see more videos like this, maybe on utensils? Love youu!
Love the review! I’ve got a kitchenaid in pale cream and it has a shimmer to it that I didn’t notice in the pictures.
The only thing I would disagree with is the open lever review. Most people like me wouldn’t be baking from behind the machine so actually having it on the side compared to the back is actually easier, so you’re not leaning over the machine to open it. ❤️
There is an Artisan and Classic in USA. I’ve had mine for 6 years and it was my grandmothers. She bought this one about 20 years ago and it still works great. Mine has the spring you mentioned. My mother and mother-in-law both have the ones they got when they were married. So at least 30 years. Still good to go. I do wish it had a slightly lower speed since I don’t have a hand mixer. But sometimes you just have to whip it yourself. Lol. In love with the little bowl Jemma got. Definitely getting one.
I’ve never owned a stand mixer before but it’s always been a dream of mine! This was so helpful and perfect timing! Thank you
32:53 - well - I never needed a stand mixer - I'm completely content with my hand mixer - yet I've enjoyed your review very much. You did a great job at explaining the pros and cons of each machine and I feel like if I ever wanted to buy one I'd be very well informed now ;) And your stunning personalities obviously helped with my attention ;) I wouldn't mind to see more videos like this in the future. Thanks for the effort and stay safe :)
The on-camera chemistry between you guys is so charming! I love watching vids where you're working together
I bought myself a kitchenmaid for mothers day 5 years ago and its my favourite thing ever!! Its in the colour raspberry ice, I remember saving for it for years!! Love it! Used that batboy to make Jenna's recipe lemon drizzle cake today and cinnamon rolls yesterday! Quarantine baking is real haha!
Mine is a light blue sunbeam standmixer (I christened it Bluey) that I bought on special when I was a broke student, loved baking but couldn't afford a KitchenAid so I read so many reviews and waited for sales. I've had it for years now and I'm pretty happy with it, the paddle is silicon coated so mixes super evenly, and has 12 speeds. If the sad day comes that Bluey ever passes, I will definitely invest in a Kitchen Aid now that I can finally afford one lol. Thanks guys, really appreciate the unbiased opinions and tests, great episode!
Been wanting a kitchenaid for years my cousin has one and i always drool over it 😂😂
Where can I get kichern aid stand mixer
I have the Aucma and bake cakes, make meringues, macarons, madeleines, etc. Etc. It has performed very well for the 6 months that I’ve had it. Don’t forget that you can buy 5 new ones over time for the price of those more expensive mixers. Plus I can hide it easily in a cabinet. The sticky feet hold it firmly in place without all that weight. The whisk looks flimsy, but in your test it outpaced the more expensive ones in beating egg whites to stiff peaks! That was a surprise for me since I don’t have anything to compare mine to! It has the highest wattage and I think the power to the implements is comparable to the other two. Probably longevity will be its weak suit, but what the heck...throw it out and get a new one!
Thanks for the great review! I watched it twice and ordered my KitchenAid Artisan in Ice Blue and additionally bought the tilt-head flex edge beater and the white gardenia ceramic bowl. I nearly bought pistachio; yours looks so beautiful but I fell in love with the bowl which looks so gorgeous with Ice Blue. It's currently on sale $349.99 CAD. $448.22 CAD with the extra bowl and flex beater.
This is so so helpful
Better than any commercial
And first time someone has helped compare and make decisions based on that many criteria and performances
I've just got my Kitchen Aid artisan, based on this review. Thanks, Jemma!
I love my Kenwood but like Sally would definitely recommend getting the stainless steel both both me and my friend had the plastic ring on the glass bowl crack. It seems to be a known fault. But everything else great quality. Great video!
Thank you Jemma & co for the update on stand mixers. I had always wanted a Kitchenaid mixer and 1 1/2 years ago my husband bought me one. WOW love it have used it many times, for cakes, pizza and mashed potato. I stuck to the colour black as all of my other appliances are black. What a great appliance for your kitchen
I've been a long time KitchenAid fan and a proud owner of two full-sized ones and a newer mini model, the first one I bought many years ago and has lasted so so well would definitely recommend, really enjoyed this video xx
I’ve been looking forward to this all week! 🥰
Me too!! ❤😍
😘😘😘😘😘
I have my K-mix for 10 years now. It was super expensive on that time (and stainless steel bowl was a standard) but it's to this day it's one of the best kitchen gadget/small appliance I ever bought.
I appreciate the time you guys took for the making of this video. Thank you, it was helpful.
My dad got me my first KitchenAid Artisan Mixer about 6 years ago for Christmas. It makes baking so much easier, and since getting my mixer I bake more often. I also use it for making mashed potatoes, and making shredded chicken or pulled pork both boneless. Being able to do more than just baking with it is so great. My KitchenAid Artisan Mixer lives on my countertop because it is a prized tool in my kitchen I use when cooking.
I’ve been using Kitchenaid mixers for 30 years. My first one was handed down to my son and is still going strong at 28 years old! My newer model is going on 6 yrs old and gets used several times a week.
Yes thank you for providing us with this informative video! Off to save up for a stand mixer now :D
We love Jemma, my daughter Arianna (6) is a huge fan and loves her shop. We have to visit every time we go to London. Jemma inspired me to start baking only a few months ago when I turned 30, better late than never. I have a yellow kitchenaid and I love her, she’s my happy place in stressful times. Thank you Jemma x
I have a Kitchen Aid and absolutely love it. Recently bought a stainless steel beater and shredder and slicing attachment - brilliant.
I know everyone is talking about the Kitchenaid but I was kind of rooting for the Acuma. It's an affordable machine that works for the everyday user.
I have an older version of the kmix in candy blue color (light turquise ) with a stainless steel bowl and I love it😊 you can also get a flat paddle attachment with spatula for the kmix. I have it and it is great.
After looking for a review I finally found one which is brilliant and entertaining. Your an inspiration Jemma love all your recipes. All on point. Thanks you for helping me decide.. Definitely going going for the kitchen aid... 🤗
That was a very nice demonstration and I'm sure it will be very helpful for a person who is in the market for a new mixer. We own a kitchenaid and it is a great machine. Unfortunately, ours doesn't live on the counter, so we have to lug it out and lift it up onto the counter every time we use it. It's heavy and bulky, but still worth it. Years ago, from amazon we ordered one of those paddles with the bowl scraper attached. I love that thing. It does a really great job.
God I just love Jemma’s sass and pizazz!! What a legend lol!!
This helped me so much - thanks for the entertaining and thorough review!
Love how informative all of your videos are how well you break things down for newbies despite being an absolute pro! Curious if you have any opinions between kitchen aid models? Thanks!
This review was very helpful. I've recently started baking a lot at home, thanks COVID-19, and I'm really getting into it and want to purchase a stand mixer. There are so many out there with varying prices, so it was good to actually see these in action. I especially wanted to see how the "cheaper" devices compared against the mighty Kitchenaid. Again, thanks for the review guys, it was very informative.
I'm so excited about this!!
I would store that Kitchenaid on my mantle piece!
amanda bell I’m very tempted to 😂
@@CupcakeJemma it's too beautiful to be hidden in a cupboard x
My artizan lives on my bookcase 😂. I have had it for a decade, I plan to pass it on to one of my daughter in laws… but which one? My only regret, my kitchen aid colour no longer goes with my kitchen 😅 xxx
My mam has had her Kenwood Kmix for 32 years and we still use it every weekend, absolute trooper!
Thank you Jemma for the information. I've had my Kitchenaide 5 quart heavy duty mixer for about 30 years now. From what I have heard, they just don't make them like they used to but I still like them. If/when I get another, it will probably be the 7 quart professional heavy duty one in a pretty blue color. :)
My mother bought a Kenwood way back in 1980 and I ended up getting it and it's still going strong!
I'm 9 minutes in, just thought I would say the little metal bowl that comes with the KitchenAid is perfect for Swiss meringue, not found any other major use for it yet.
My mixer came with the little bowl as a ‘free’ add on. It great for a small royal icing run as it has a clip on lid.
I use my little bowl to make small amounts of coloured buttercream, I make my cakes and ice them In advance, so I make the buttercream for piping and decoration on the day and I usually don't need alot and it comes in handy for that
I have a K-Mix and love it. I managed to get the bowl stuck on and they were fab. Collected it, assessed it and sent a replacement all within about 10 days! Oh and I’m sure they do pulse too if you turn the dial back but might be thinking of my old chef 😁
I received my kenwood mixer as a wedding present over 20 yrs ago, still going strong, mine came with a stainless steel bowl and the component was stainless steel too, came with a splatter guard as well. It's very sturdy but quite heavy.
I've owned a bright red Artisan for about 5 years now, and cannot fault it at all! I noticed Jemma was confused as to the use of the small bowl, personally, when I use the meat grinder attatchment to make mince, I use the small bowl to collect the mince, or whatever you are processing. Everything about the Kitchenaid is top quality though, mine has never skipped a beat, and it's done plenty of heavy dough kneading plenty of times.
Thank you for the review finally made my mind up. Kitchen aid it is! Xx
I had my KitchenAid 5K5SS for 20 years now and the one with a spring and a tiny cap on the hook head. Mine as good as new, working perfectly but I think for making bread dough bread machine is doing a much better work in kneading heavy bread dough but for cakes, biscuit and merengue or any lighter batter it works great. Love watching you guys comparing different brands of heavy mixer, After having mine for 20 years I don't think I'm gonna buy another one because it working great still. might as well like someone said, would bring with me to heaven. Awesome video by the way, you guys are so fun to watch.😊
I love my KitchenAid Artisan! I got mine on a special deal with an extra glass bowl and Flex Edge beater. I bought the ice cream attachment and it's amazing! Can't wait to get some more slowly by slowly. Also, the Classic is not the same as the Artisan. It has a smaller bowl (4.5 qt vs 5) and lower wattage.
Thanks for the great review. What about cleaning the machine, the bowl and the attachments? And I would love to see the doughhook in action.
The Kitchenaid Artisan and the Classic are very different in Germany. The Artisan is much more powerful, therefore the Classic is much much cheaper but apparently is not as great
Same in the US. They are not the same
@@kimhoroski Yes, and the Classic is an older machine. People really like it, though. It comes usually in white or cream, whereas Artisan is a bit more powerful and comes in a gazillion colours.
My classic that I just got at Walmart for $199 is stainless
Same in the UK she's got it wrong
@@sashineb.2114 When I bought the Classic I could only choose from either black or white. It is smaller than the Artisan.
Its a 30min video and it doesn't bored me.. its very interesting to see these mixer testing against each other. It definitely give me idea which one to get soon. Great job guys!
I have had my kitchen aid in stainless steel for 20+ years in thr Artisan series and love it. Still works like new and I use it daily
Great review!! How about a review of handmixers? We’ve seen you use them in videos occasionally. Have you tried a number of brands/models before finding the one you like? Thanks!
Hand mixers are excellent tbh. They're lightweight, easy to store and transport, inexpensive (I bought mine from a Craigslist listing), and mine has such a great range of speeds too. In fact, because you mix around with your hand, it mixes more thoroughly than the stand mixer, and often times I find that I spend less time to get the results I need compared to what the recipe says. It does get tiring, and it's difficult to add an ingredient while I am mixing (e.g. making Italian meringues), but I'm an infrequent baker, so overall it has served me well and I had no problem recreating Cupcake Jemma recipes!
Honestly, I have a Tesco own brand electric hand whisk that’s lasted 10 years at least 🤣. Cost under £20, does the job perfectly.
@@macaoron Exactly. And the cleaning...such a difference! You just go over the two whisks with the sponge, rinse and you're done.
Yes please! That would be interesting!
Just wanted to add another comment about the KMix and that’s the attachments. I got two the silicone side scraper (similar to Jemma’s but silicone on both sides) and the folding tool. Both are great and the slowest speed on the KMix is the folding speed (the red speed icon on the dial). Haven’t tried the top attachments yet, perhaps you could review a range of attachments for both the bowls and also on the top of the Kitchen Aid and KMix. Anyway, really good review. Totally agree that the Kitchen Aid is the better one but like you guys said, the KMix is great for a couple of times a week baker and can stay on your counter. 😃.
Thank you xx
I have the white Kmix and I love it. Best Christmas present I’ve gotten. My kmix came with a 4th attachment with rubber edges that I use a lot (similar to the 4th attachment Jemma has but rubber both sides)
Never mind the mixers, I couldn't take my eyes of all them hundreds & hundreds of thousands 🤗
