And appreciate these videos so much. You keep people company who might be feeling lonely, you let us into your lives, great family and role models. 🥇
I absolutely get the Star Wars thing as I’m around the same age as you and it was a pivotal part of mine and my brothers childhood. However, the impact of Star Wars was two fold for me. My autistic son was pretty much ‘locked in’ until he was about three years old. Then one day A New Hope was playing on the tv and I turned to see my son absolutely mesmerised by it. It was such a huge deal as he’d never shown much interest in anything before. From that day on Star Wars has been life in our house. It opened my son up. Suddenly we could reach him through the median of Star Wars, he understood concepts he couldn’t grasp before if you explained them using Star Wars characters or plots, he became responsive and reachable. Even the school used his love of Star Wars as positive reinforcement. I always say Star Wars built a bridge over the gapping chasm that lay between me and my son, and I will be forever grateful for that 😊

George Lucas is an unbelievable believable utter genius when he created and brought Star wars to the hearts and minds of children, teenagers and adults in the 1970's. As soon as you hear the first bars of the theme music in the opening sequence, you are hooked. Long live Hans Solo, Luke Skywalker, Yoda and Princess Leia. My five year old daughter adores it now.
I think Star Wars was a generational thing I totally get it. It was such a major part of my childhood and I love it. So does my hubby. Total know where Mark is coming from.
The trailer is brillant!! My bro is a super fan boy. He was born the day Star Wars premiered in 1977.

Went to the big city, London, at midnight to watch this new film called Star Wars !! 1977, never seen anything like it then. Mad surroundsound and our seats shook, lol.😨 When we came out of the cinema everyone was running around and hanging off the back of buses, shooting each other with laser guns !! Great memories 😊

Hi Mark - I am the same age as you. We went one of the first showings of Star Wars in Leicester square. There were three of us and two seats left as we reached the box office after queuing for hours. My mum begged and pleaded and eventually they agreed that my brother who was about 3 at the time could sit on my mum's knee! The movie was utter magic to me. I completely connected with Luke and his quest. Since then I have gone on to have 3 boys and a husband who are massive fans and have been excited throughout the years just like you. I was woken up this morning (we are now in Australia) by my 10 year old wanting to show me the trailer and the excitement in his eyes takes me back to being a child. I get you completely!!!!

Mark I love Star Wars and I think with the whole good vs evil and the Force throughout its soooo much more than just space battles (though they are good too). It's all about how nobody is completely good or completely evil....it's about the choices you make and it's also about how love and friendship are worth more than power and control. 😍 I also love how there is a strong woman theme throughout and men and women (and Wookies) are equals 🤩 . I've also loved the Ewoks since I was a kid 😄

I have a terrible issue with a fatty liver. My gastroenterologist said I'm more likely to go into liver failure than an alcoholic. Also...I learned asprin is worse than fat on the liver.
