I’ve got this brushless version. Bought several HP upgrades, steering links, suspension links, and the SS drive shafts from Heli Direct. The steering links were good except for one needed screw. The suspension matching links look cool but are useless, they drastically reduce articulation. The drive shafts were complete garbage, one end of rear wasn’t machined properly, both sloppier than the stock shafts.
I think this is my favorite comp build, it's almost perfect. I think I'd have to try it those tires, at first glance not so much but of course gotta try them before judging. I really want to build one of these, and will be looking for a different option for the trans because i think they are not ideal the way they lurch forward once over a rock or incline. Overall, probably the best rig available to be built with bolt-on upgrades. IMO Thanks for the build video!
Oh, one more thing, i was having a bit of deja vu when i first started watching this.. remember your other video, the Asc18 custom build.. i was tripping out at first, half awake before coffee. Lol Anyway, that thing was freaking amazing, and I'm wondering how these two compare head to head. That build (Asc18 comp build) is probably my favorite so far that you have built. Can you do a head to head comparison on the two? Very similar in ways.
@MrsRabbit8 Most definitely. I am going to have an 18th scale comparison video this summer. All of them. TRX4M, Ascent18, EVO PRO, Cayman V2, and any other 18th scale rig that might come out. I really expect another company to jump in considering the popularity of this scale.
@snorrevonflake Those are both American companies, and you live in America. Traxxas is by far the biggest and has been around for a long time. HP is up and coming. They have stepped it up and are now competing with those 2 companies. Furitek and HP both make upgrades for HP.
Where do we get the upgrade parts from and are they just as simple as being cr18p parts or are they specific for the evo pro.? Or could you provide a part number for Atleast stainless driveshafts , links set and front portal covers Thankyou
NSDRC all the way baby! Those tires look nothing short of insane, can't wait to see it comp!
Right. DJCrawlers are nasty.

Thanks for that. I want to make some custom links and fit the Injora Diamond portal axels....
What a great looking truck! Those tires are wicked! I need to get some work done on my rigs before the CK4RC Invitational(s)! haha
It's coming up. Better get to it.

@@hyperc5249 it's getting HOT in the 1/18 world!
@MrsRabbit8 💯
The slop in the CR18P drivetrain is actually from the portal gears, not the transmision gears.
Finally someone upgrading the cr18p evo pro I have this rig and parts are hard to find thanks
Yes they are. But it's definitely the best performance rig in the 18th scale.
@@hyperc5249 Then why is everybody making aftermarket parts for Traxxas, FMS, SCX and Redcat only ?

Injora jumped on the Redcat and introduced a huge number or parts within weeks but completely left out the CR18P platform.
Do you have the part# for the single speed fx118 transmission?

Hi, sorry but I didn't understand well, did you have to cut the drive shaft to make it fit? How much did you have to cut it? Thank you.
Yes but it didn't work. Just stick with the stock driveshaft until the V2 driveshafts come out.
Does the evo pro body, swap with the Fury Wagon body
Im having trouble finding driveshafta for my cr18p evo pro brushless. I heard theyre different? Or would they be thr same as v2?
Yes the V2 shafts are correct.
The Body is cool. Where can i buy it ?

Awesome job! so much inspiration for my own build. Where do you get spare fx118 gearboxes?
LOL out of my FX118 Fury wagon.
@hyperc5249 haha had a feeling you might say that.
Did the overdrive gears work fine with th eaxles and portal covers? Thanks!
Yes. The V2 portal covers.
@@hyperc5249 Furitek ones, yeh? Thanks!

what do you think of those tires? i was planning on getting them for mine
They are awesome. You have to have the clearance for them.
