I have zero expectations for Conor to be anything like he used to be. Everyone can see he's on drugs and isn't training like he should be. He's not hungry anymore so the motivation isn't truly there anymore.

He's a business man and a family man now... Sure he looked drugged out of his mind in those interviews and videos, but later videos like the ones promoting his PFL investment shows that he can be lucid and speaking just like his old self.

That bit on action\inaction ignores the joy of just being. "Success" is a hamster wheel, keeps you running for the carrot on the string forever. The idea of (me now) + (insert achievement)= finally happy. But if you can't be happy doing nothing in the moment, simply being yourself, you haven't found anything but another carrot to chase. It's like the protestant work ethic, trying to buy your way into heaven with good deeds, instead of simply enjoying being present in your being.

The most overlooked factor in CM's rise within the sport was the weight class he fought in. His power carried well in the featherweight division - THAT is where he was unstoppable. When he fought Alvarez he was still active / prime CM and easily had enough to stop Alvarez with his timing and accuracy. Perhaps if he wouldn't have become a mega-millionaire directly thereafter and would've kept his head on straight, MAYBE he could've found a way to continue that dominance in the LW division. Problem was that elite LW's can withstand his power. Add some wrestling prowess and most LW's in the top 5 would eat him for lunch. Alvarez, an aging Cerrone and I PERHAPS Chandler are good matches for him. He can beat Chandler but he isn't getting near Islam, DP, or even Oliveira. Side Note: Chandler could still starch his ass - he is a power house. We'll see.

You can't say "inactivity" in his prime he was fighting 3 times a year winning nearly all his fights by knock outs. He was a double weight champion in cage warriors then got his chance in the UFC and became the first double weight champion so hardly "inactive" look at his fights compared to Khabib who fought 1 fight in 3 years at one point. Never beat a champion to win his belt and only fought 2 fighters ranked in the top 5. Conor got a fight against Floyd that made him so much money he never had to fight again. Dana said it himself Conor never turned down a fight. How many times did Khabib duck Tony in his prime even running to the hospital when the UFC doctor cleared him to fight. The types don't lie watch Conor's best knock out reels than watch Khabib's first thing you will see is most of the people Khabib fought nobody ever heard of who had more losses than wins on there record. The most padded record in UFC history. Conor was KO,en unbeaten 10 year champions with 1 punch whilst Khabib was beaten a guy with 3 losses and 1 win

Dudes think a guy who is worth 500 million fell off. Dude just made a movie that was box office. Nobody thought he was invincible, they knew they would see something special regardless of who he fought.

The drugs motivated him. As much as the drugs are the ruin of men, the honest will say that drugs are also a big part of ones success, if they are present, that is!

If you call being in a position where you are highest paid first time actor with a record breaking Amazon feature being labeled as slipping off think again. If you call strolling back into a 20 million dollar easy fight where he won't get touched a slip think again. Sky's still the limit for this man with style points. Anyone would be fortunate and accomplished to fall off like a Conor McGregor. You guys are fools to think this dude has fallen from grace. Everything he touches turns to gold. Do you measure that as success or failure. He's going to break more records in his next fight which will line him up for an even bigger one. Bigger and bigger and bigger is how this man's career will go. The fact that he can party like a Rock Star and still produce records is inspiring and many would say perfect harmony and balance
Let's not forget his amazing wife and kids
You all wish we all wish we could have a life soon blessed and inspiring to others. I'm sure this man lived his life with an energy and intensity when he was flat broke. That success that's richness in attitude and mindset. Everything else is merely a vessel for that energy. Success breeds success and it also breeds haters.

Nate exposed Connors gas tank and laid out a blue print on how to beat him, Khabib mauled him and then Dustin completely took his soul and what little spirit he had for the sport... Reality yes I know he was just trying to make money and he made so much that it eventually took him away from the strive and hunger that made him a star

I liked Conor up until the mayweather fight
So much Sh!t talking and Conor can’t even box
He’s won one fight in 6 years and never defended a title he won
Never. He gives up, once his left punch doesn’t work (one trick pony)

.this no one can take away from him
.he has made tons of money
smart in business
.will he be the same fighter like he was when he faces Chandler?
.THAT is up for question
NOT the two previous facts I mentioned.

This is why I really admire those that go out on top especially in a sport as brutal as combat sports.
Conor should've retired after the Mayweather fight or at the very least the Khabib fight, as everything
since then has largely been a disappointment. But immense wealth will do that.
For a brief moment he was on the top of the world and It's sad to see his decline and I fear that the Chandler
fight will just be another step down the ladder. I hope it isn't, but I can't see it going any other way.
