How Inactivity (And Drugs) Ruined Conor McGregor's Career đ - Sport
I have zero expectations for Conor to be anything like he used to be. Everyone can see he's on drugs and isn't training like he should be. He's not hungry anymore so the motivation isn't truly there anymore.
It was all faked. McGregor beats Chandler and then will become the first 6-belt champion

true but i feel like if he fights how he fought in the sparring video he can win, chandler is the perfect person to fight like that, mixing it up and being a counter fighter instead of a pressure fighter
He's a business man and a family man now... Sure he looked drugged out of his mind in those interviews and videos, but later videos like the ones promoting his PFL investment shows that he can be lucid and speaking just like his old self.
His way of doing things is just full of that dgaf attitude which freaks out people and makes for nice gossip and clickbait material
His hunger is what made him THE NOTORIOUS without that hunger he is nothing
He's with a belly full of wine arms full of loving kids and wife some mery Jane under his nose ofc he done mf made 300mil just of fighting not counting his whiskey deal
Right because people generally consume âMary Janeâ through their nosesđ

true from a poor irish kid , to a millionaire
He didn't 'ruin' his career. He made so much money he didn't need a career.
100 well said
People are saying what he doesn't need when he's the one who has been begging for a fight.
â@@ccb6013đđđ wtf
@@ccb6013he hasnât been begging for a fight, heâs grown up a fighterâŠhim wanting to fight while having hundreds of millions dollars in his account is for the love of the game regardless if he wins or not. Itâs the fame, adrenaline and the fight that brings him back. Youâll be dumb enough to think heâs doesnât have the funds to retire and not come back, considering heâs now a shareholder in PFL đ€Ł
Maybe not his career, but heâs ruining his life

Conor has become "cool to hate" but I'll never forget how he single handedly grew the sport, and put it in the limelight. For that, he will always be a legend in my book. His rise was one of the most exciting and electric things I've ever seen in sports.. But as they say.. Father Time is undefeated..
Same dude. Not sure he will ever be a top fighter again, but his run was truly legendary, and no one else has come close
â@@seanfrancis7101Anderson Silva and Jon Jones both had just as good a rise and they actually defended a belt
When he started be told everyone he was only doing it for the money. He achieved exactly what he wanted, and then some.
Yes from a plumber to a multi millionaires...... I see success.... He is in a movie now
He got like Rocky in Rocky 3. He got the fame and the riches and got soft. After losing to Khabib, his aura was shattered and it was nothing but downhill from there. Khabib was smart to quit while he was on top.
Yup, losing twice to Dustin finished off any remaining fight aura. He didn't even have good mic aura in the prefight stuff for their third fight. But Khabib started it all, whopped his ass in his prime and shamed his shitty behavior by being a superior man.
would khabib have had lost a fight if he continued? maybe... but his losses woudnt have been that shameless as connor bc connor aint that mature
Heâs notorious for a reason. Conor still achieved more than most fighters by doing less. The topic of ruining his career is subjective. Could he have done more? Yeah. But he reached a point where he didnât actually need to.
Which is sound logic, if heâd stepped away when he should have. But he came back and got beat multiple times. Now, heâs chasing his own shadow, which is far more elusive than any success heâs gained.
my guy, i got your point, but conor literally punched an old dude, couldn't he at least not have done that kind of thing?
@@Bryan-ot7ok And Jon Jones punched his wife.
â@williammoore1980 "multiple times" he has only loss in the octagon since 2018 excluding the leg break lmao....would you say the same for usman and volk after both being 1-3 đ€Ą?
ââ@@Bryan-ot7okhe was a 40y drunk dude chatting about his brand and got punched...not familiar with cage fighters having testosterone filled inside them lmao
Not a fan of his behaviour, but the guy became very successful, generational wealth, his kids and family is taken care of for life. He did what he wanted to do, have to give him some respect for that.
The Mayweather money dulled his hunger. Then Khabib took his soul.
4 rounds of meat snifing took his soul yno đđ€Ą....did he also took dustin and Justin's souls in a combined 3 rounds? Typical braindead casual.
No shit Dustin took his soul
Nah Khabib took his soul, Dustin just kicked his ass........TWICE.
@damehisungoh He literally stomped on his head when both were active tf you wafflin bout...did the imbred cousin got his "soul" taken away from him when he got sparked unconscious in some other promotion by a nobody? Smh
@1974Imperium typical lifeless hater spotted here smh...just looked into your other comments on this channel and my god you live a miserable life
Your narration is the very best, Sir.
You forgot to mention that money also played a part in his decline. His fanboys will say different but they're also the the ones who didn't see him fight until the Floyd Mayweather fight.
There's so many talented people in the world, that have ruined their lives due to drugs ngl.
But Conor life is not ruined nor his career his career is business now he just don't know it yet
Woke up and the goat posted

UFC 303 already has the highest gate in ufc history so he ainât fall of that muchđ€·ââïž
his star power wonât fall off until he is 100% gone. but he has fallen off majorly as a fighter and athlete. but his name wonât until heâs absolutely done.
That and the ufc keep raising the tix prices
People want to see whether or not he's truly washed. Of course it's going to sell. But if he doesn't show up in typical form, his next gate won't do so well.
Well, the tickets cost more every single showâŠâŠdonât believe the UFCâs propaganda. EVERY show is the biggest gate, as long as its sold out, and every time, Dana tells us.
his name hasnât fell, itâs his fighting ability thatâs fallen
Great video !!! Thanks for the content !!!
The kind of man you are becomes evident with prolonged exposure to money, fame, and alcohol. They will always prove you to be more of what you already are.
There IS no "invincibility" in fighting.
He got caught up in the money man
Very well done. Earned a sub
Such high quality videos and edits. You surely deserve more â€ïž
Wish these videos were longer đđŸ
I miss the hungry and motivated Conor. The conor who brought me into this game
Heâs got a very materialistic side that has got the better of him
Always the best MMA video
Not a bad effort on your channel son... I'll sub
Great video..
Goddamn Conor is looking huge, if him vs Chandler go past the first round we're looking at some exhausted boring next 2 rounds lol
Itâs a 5 round event đ
He made this sport thats it.
Amazing video
That bit on action\inaction ignores the joy of just being. "Success" is a hamster wheel, keeps you running for the carrot on the string forever. The idea of (me now) + (insert achievement)= finally happy. But if you can't be happy doing nothing in the moment, simply being yourself, you haven't found anything but another carrot to chase. It's like the protestant work ethic, trying to buy your way into heaven with good deeds, instead of simply enjoying being present in your being.
Sick intro brah đ
It started with fame then the money. Once he got a taste of that big paycheck, he's never been the same
Goody by man you was the best at one point you will be remembered for ever .. i love your past .. R.I.P
Didn't stop them from having the highest gate in history, again.
After all Conor achieved all the success he could. In terms of his prime as a fighter, as well as a major successful Business man and Actor .
If hitting round pads with big meaty hooks was a competition he would be the greatest to ever do it!
What I notice in his recent fights was his look, he looks like he doesn't wanna be there and like questioning himself
He did what he had to and made it. The sad thing is if he fights, but if he wants to snort coke and party till he drops. He earned it
He's a changed man, he has to make himself get back up and become the idol he is
You know people always bring up Stephen bonar forest griffins solidified the sport, I think Conor was that next step so I gotta respect him for that I do hope he finds peace and something to center him to reality.
im hoping conor will use this chandler fight to fix his shit, if he pulls up high and out of shape hes gonna be laughed out of the ufc
Im still a fan but Iâve accepted heâll never be as great as he was back in 2015/2016. Win or lose I just hope he fights more often again itâs always fun to see him fight
Oh shit I had completely forgotten that McGregor sucker punched that old guy. Props to him for taking that punch
Unpopular opinion: Conorâs CV for featherweight & lightweight championships are better than Khabibâs CV
*Uninteresting opinion
The inactivity and drugs came from making so much damn money. MMA is a very tough sport. But drugs and inactivity lead to a very depressing, unfulfilled life, so the Mac is back! Ya baby!!
Khabib gave Conors hunger when Khabib left Conor have nothing to prove he done it all like he said now he's doing all this for us fans enjoy..
Conor wasnât hungry anymore after the Floyd fight letâs be honest. Nothing to do with Khabib
â@@chri1844He means defeating Khabib was the only mountain left to be climbed that could light the fire in his belly that was there during his come up when he was hungry
He wasnât like anyone else he was completely different. He separated himself from the pack and thatâs what champions do
If Conor bounces back, his comeback will be the most legendary in history.
To do that, though, he needs to bend the knee and get out of his own way.
So the question is, does he have the will and humility to get out of his own way?
I have a bad feeling about this Chandler fight for McGregorâs health. Physical and mental.
Cooked out of his mind or focused Conor is the biggest personality in the UFC still to this day
âIt was just business manâ tells you everything you need to know about him. Please Khabib, stop beating me up so bad. He never bounced back after that fight. I couldnât care less about his fame and fortune, he was exposed in that fight. Without the mental aspect, i doubt he could have truly beaten Aldo fair and square.
Same with Colby minus the drugs dude sat out his whole prime
I never understood why people said Conor was a great trash talker. He just yelled and has a silly accent. Half of the things he was saying were 3rd grade level insults. But, people ate it up.
He deffs didnt ruin his career this is just life, he is around 36 fully set up for his life his kids and his grandkids, trust me this is a successful career that you wish yoiu had
So becoming a multimillionaire is deemed a failure now on social media? Fuck sakes......
A legend who brung entertainment to UFC
Best lightweight on the planet said no one ever! Featherweight â
Hopefully this video doesnât age well.. unfortunately, it might đą
still one of the greats of the sport
Business. The man became a business and made money. Drugs and inactivity arenât solely the reason his career took a hit. He showed the rest of the UFC fighters how to make money. Also, guys like you (The Fighting Business) are able to create content and get clicks by simply using his name and a catchy title like this one. Be thankful.
"October 6, I'm gonna play with him, smesh his face, make him a little bit humble"
Commenting on every The FIghting Business video until he stops saying the corny ass "for now i gotta bounce" line
I think Dustin winning reflects more on Dustins improvement then McGregors decline
We got 4 amazing years from him.. he will raise or vanish on his soon fight. If he get knocked out early his fight carrer is done
What is the song playing the background!? I must know
You canât ruin the career of the most successful MMA fighter in history thatâs an oxymoron if I ever heard one
Check the evolution of his bank account and you will think otherwise
Money isnât everything man.
The inactivity and drugs were due to money so essentially, MONEY ruined his career but improved his life.
Yeah... Right... How many Lamborghini yachts do you own? No one can say anything about McGregor. He's earned everything he has and can do as he pleases.
All the negativity towards Conor in the commentsâŠdamn, be grateful we got to experience him in his prime. Thatâs all Iâll say.
The most overlooked factor in CM's rise within the sport was the weight class he fought in. His power carried well in the featherweight division - THAT is where he was unstoppable. When he fought Alvarez he was still active / prime CM and easily had enough to stop Alvarez with his timing and accuracy. Perhaps if he wouldn't have become a mega-millionaire directly thereafter and would've kept his head on straight, MAYBE he could've found a way to continue that dominance in the LW division. Problem was that elite LW's can withstand his power. Add some wrestling prowess and most LW's in the top 5 would eat him for lunch. Alvarez, an aging Cerrone and I PERHAPS Chandler are good matches for him. He can beat Chandler but he isn't getting near Islam, DP, or even Oliveira. Side Note: Chandler could still starch his ass - he is a power house. We'll see.
You can't say "inactivity" in his prime he was fighting 3 times a year winning nearly all his fights by knock outs. He was a double weight champion in cage warriors then got his chance in the UFC and became the first double weight champion so hardly "inactive" look at his fights compared to Khabib who fought 1 fight in 3 years at one point. Never beat a champion to win his belt and only fought 2 fighters ranked in the top 5. Conor got a fight against Floyd that made him so much money he never had to fight again. Dana said it himself Conor never turned down a fight. How many times did Khabib duck Tony in his prime even running to the hospital when the UFC doctor cleared him to fight. The types don't lie watch Conor's best knock out reels than watch Khabib's first thing you will see is most of the people Khabib fought nobody ever heard of who had more losses than wins on there record. The most padded record in UFC history. Conor was KO,en unbeaten 10 year champions with 1 punch whilst Khabib was beaten a guy with 3 losses and 1 win
Dudes think a guy who is worth 500 million fell off. Dude just made a movie that was box office. Nobody thought he was invincible, they knew they would see something special regardless of who he fought.
Every movie is box office lmfao. Theyâre obviously talking about their fall off from the MMA world.
MoneY isn't everything and the movie was beyond garbage. Conor has one win in YEARS. I think he should stick to crap movies.
The drugs motivated him. As much as the drugs are the ruin of men, the honest will say that drugs are also a big part of ones success, if they are present, that is!
If you call being in a position where you are highest paid first time actor with a record breaking Amazon feature being labeled as slipping off think again. If you call strolling back into a 20 million dollar easy fight where he won't get touched a slip think again. Sky's still the limit for this man with style points. Anyone would be fortunate and accomplished to fall off like a Conor McGregor. You guys are fools to think this dude has fallen from grace. Everything he touches turns to gold. Do you measure that as success or failure. He's going to break more records in his next fight which will line him up for an even bigger one. Bigger and bigger and bigger is how this man's career will go. The fact that he can party like a Rock Star and still produce records is inspiring and many would say perfect harmony and balance
Let's not forget his amazing wife and kids
You all wish we all wish we could have a life soon blessed and inspiring to others. I'm sure this man lived his life with an energy and intensity when he was flat broke. That success that's richness in attitude and mindset. Everything else is merely a vessel for that energy. Success breeds success and it also breeds haters.
With what he used to be heâs a legend, but thatâs the past. Thereâs still this illusion that he is that same guy, heâs not. People are delusional if they think heâs the same
brother can anyone tell me how to get the ufc clips to make videos like this ...i want to start youtube but dont know how to get these clips ...will mean a lot if anyone can help đ
Conner dodged Khabib for so long
Conor is Still the biggest MMA Star â
I think if young conor saw how tweaked up he is now he would be considered
Nate exposed Connors gas tank and laid out a blue print on how to beat him, Khabib mauled him and then Dustin completely took his soul and what little spirit he had for the sport... Reality yes I know he was just trying to make money and he made so much that it eventually took him away from the strive and hunger that made him a star
Money does this to those with weak character
Conor McGregor, achieved Greatness.
Mix Martial Artist & ICON.
Now we are going to see the Down Fall đ
Then he will be finished in the UFC.
Goes into Boxing Money Exhibitions.
I liked Conor up until the mayweather fight
So much Sh!t talking and Conor canât even box
Heâs won one fight in 6 years and never defended a title he won
Never. He gives up, once his left punch doesnât work (one trick pony)
Most of those guys he beat were at the end of their best.
He was hungry, funny and good.
I think itâs funny that these videos pop up like he doesnât have a net worth north of a hundred millionđ
It's not ruined per se. It's more like his career is so successful that he no longer push forward
Conor McGregor brought MMA into the mainstreamâŠ.this no one can take away from himâŠ.he has made tons of moneyâŠsmart in businessâŠ.will he be the same fighter like he was when he faces Chandler?âŠ.THAT is up for questionâŠNOT the two previous facts I mentioned.
Rocky 3 baby. LFG!!
Sucees is the sweetest poison
his fighting days are over yes but he didnt ruin his career, dudes childrens children will be set for life.
It's sad what fame can do to you he's a shell of what he was
I think if Changler goes wild into a firefight Conor can drop him easily. But if he will play it smart and safe and will use wrestling to make Conor tired. It can be somewhat easy win for Chandler..
See what happens when ego is bigger than the brain carrying it...hes like a little girl that always needs to be told how great they are....or how pretty they are...
Great video but it wasnât really about how drugs ruined conor career . More then half is his come up and a quick documentary
Same story as Garcia vs Haney,, When Mcgregor destroys Chandler
Khabin and Dustin broke him
Danaâs definitely trying to sabotage tf outta Conorâs return or something cause that fight card looks abysmal
This is why I really admire those that go out on top especially in a sport as brutal as combat sports.
Conor should've retired after the Mayweather fight or at the very least the Khabib fight, as everything
since then has largely been a disappointment. But immense wealth will do that.
For a brief moment he was on the top of the world and It's sad to see his decline and I fear that the Chandler
fight will just be another step down the ladder. I hope it isn't, but I can't see it going any other way.
